Basada en el popular juego de rol, esta película se nutre de muchos elementos clásicos de la fantasía pero con un giro creativo a veces brillante y otras hilarante.
La aventura se centra en los personajes de el Bardo (Chris Pine) y la Barbara (Michele Rodriguez), quienes luego de fallar en conseguir un botín valioso, deben recuperar la confianza de la familia que dejaron atrás.
Para lograr recuperar lo perdido crean un equipo de ladrones donde todos coinciden en un objetivo, lograr la redención.
Es una historia interesante llena de momentos de comedia pura, mucha magia y fantasía con buenos cameos.
Posiblemente la película sea un poco larga, pero serán gratificados con varios momentos de comedia y acción, que incluyen efectos especiales impresionantes.
