Sinopsis

Aunque Lion-O tiene el cuerpo de un adulto, su crecimiento acelerado significa que su fuerza física ha superado sus emociones, y todavía le queda mucho por crecer antes de poder alcanzar el tipo de madurez que todo líder necesita. ¡Afortunadamente, un guerrero experimentado está listo para ayudarlo a dominar su temperamento con algunas dolorosas lecciones de combate!

A raíz de los acontecimientos que sacudieron la Tierra en el primer arco de la historia, Cheetara ocupa un lugar central en "Training Day", un número especial independiente escrito y dibujado por el autor invitado STEPHEN MOONEY (The Rocketeer: The Great Race, Half Past Danger ), quien también contribuye con una portada para el número junto con los incondicionales de la serie DAVID NAKAYAMA, LUCIO PARRILLO, DECLAN SHALVEY, JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG e IVAN TAO.

Trama 

Leon-O sigue afligido por perder la Espada de los Augurios, por lo que Cheetara lo despierta temprano para entrenarlo, muy parecido a uno de los episodios de la serie animada, sin embargo esta  entrega analiza cómo se siente existencialmente el líder de los Thundercats, que no tiene la madurez necesaria para controlar el poder de su cuerpo adulto.

Cheetara le explica a Leon-O que debe aprender de sus errores y Chhetara lo entrena en combate cuerpo a cuerpo con su supervelocidad, por lo que Leon-O debe entender que la debe superar no en fuerza si no en astucia, debe aprender a usar su intuición e inteligencia.

Interesante entrega de puente entre el primer arco y el nuevo que comienza en el número 7.

Como fanatico de esta serie animada que logre ver en la televisiones de antenas de bigotes en 1986, mi entusiasmo sigue creciendo así como mi interés en ver que giro tendrá este reinicio de los Thundercats.

Arte 

Está lleno de texturas y su diseños de los Thundercats se acerca más hacia lo realista, parecen más felinos que humanos.

Synopsis

Although Lion-O has the body of an adult, his accelerated growth means that his physical strength has outpaced his emotions, and he still has a lot of growing up to do before he can achieve the kind of maturity that every leader needs. Luckily, a seasoned warrior is ready to help him master his temper with some painful combat lessons!

In the aftermath of the Third-Earth-shaking events in the first story arc, Cheetara takes center stage for "Training Day," a special standalone issue written and drawn by guest author STEPHEN MOONEY (The Rocketeer: The Great Race, Half Past Danger), who also contributes a cover for the issue together with series stalwarts DAVID NAKAYAMA, LUCIO PARRILLO, DECLAN SHALVEY, JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG, and IVAN TAO!

Plot

Leon-O is still grieving over losing the Sword of Omens, so Cheetara wakes him up early to train him, very similar to one of the episodes of the animated series, however this installment analyzes how the leader of the Thundercats feels existentially, who does not have the necessary maturity to control the power of his adult body. Cheetara explains to Leon-O that he must learn from his mistakes and Chhetara trains him in hand-to-hand combat with his super speed, so Leon-O must understand that he must surpass her not in strength but in cunning, he must learn to use his intuition and intelligence. Interesting bridge between the first arch and the new one that begins at number 7. As a fan of this animated series that I managed to see on mustache antenna televisions in 1986, my enthusiasm continues to grow as well as my interest in seeing what turn this reboot of the Thundercats will have.

Art

It is full of textures and its designs of the Thundercats are closer to realistic, they seem more feline than human.
