¿De qué viene?

El Viet Cong tiene a Nick Fury en la infame prisión "Hanoi Hilton". Incluso un hombre con las habilidades específicas de Frank Castle (que se muestran de manera brutal en este número) no será suficiente para entrar, atrapar a Fury y salir. Para empeorar las cosas, Castle no es el único que intenta atrapar a Fury...

Trama

Frank Castle y Nick Fury estaban trabajando juntos para destapar la red de corrupción de drogas en el ejército en Vietnam, los superiores se enteraron de esto y ahora necesitan eliminar a los dos para que no los responsabilicen de la negligencia de tener una red de narcotráfico en el ejército.

Fury está en la cárcel más letal de Vietnam y sus captores desean saber lo que conoce de la red de narcotráfico.

Castle no logra esconder su identidad pero es contratado por una mujer y su hija quieren ser llevadas a EE.UU, ellas conocen mucho de la relación entre Frank y Nick, y están dispuestas a chantajearlos.

Esta miniserie que mezcla el género bélico con el de superhéroes en un momento clave de la Historia Contemporánea, donde Garth Ennis demuestra su amor por las historias de guerra y logra crear esta atmósfera hiperviolenta en el universo Marvel.

Arte 

Es un arte muy detallado, con matices de cómics de la década de 1980 así como su paleta de colores, esta década la Guerra de Vietnam se convirtió en un género fílmico. Los detalles del armamento, paisajes, uniformes son hipnotizantes.

What does it come from?

The Viet Cong have Nick Fury in the infamous "Hanoi Hilton" prison. Even a man with Frank Castle's specific skill set (which gets shown off in a brutal fashion this issue) will not be enough to get in, get Fury and get out. Making matters worse, Castle isn't the only party trying to get Fury…

Plot

Frank Castle and Nick Fury were working together to uncover the drug corruption ring in the military in Vietnam, the superiors found out about this and now they need to eliminate the two so that they are not held responsible for the negligence of having a drug ring in the army.

Fury is in the deadliest prison in Vietnam and his captors want to know what he knows about the drug trafficking network.

Castle is unable to hide his identity but is hired by a woman and her daughter who want to be taken to the US. They know a lot about the relationship between Frank and Nick, and are willing to blackmail them.

This miniseries mixes the war genre with the superhero genre at a key moment in Contemporary History, where Garth Ennis demonstrates his love for war stories and manages to create this hyperviolent atmosphere in the Marvel universe.

Art

It is a very detailed art, with nuances of comics from the 1980s as well as its color palette; this decade the Vietnam War became a film genre. The details of the weapons, landscapes, uniforms are hypnotizing.

Summary

Frank Castle needs help to rescue Nick Gury, but this support won't come for free
