SINOPSIS
Víctor y Sara están pasando por una mala racha. El estrés del trabajo lleva a discusiones constantes, pero cuando Víctor se derrumba, la pareja decide que es hora de irse de viaje.

“Murdervale ha sido una de las obras que más alegrías me ha traído personalmente”, dijo Cifuentes, “no solo cuando comencé a escribirla, sino también después de los años, viendo cómo los fanáticos me siguen pidiendo una nueva entrega. Cuando comencé a escribir el primer libro, no podía imaginar lo que realmente estaba creando, lo usé más como una catarsis artística y personal; Necesitaba lanzar esta historia al mundo.

Eso es lo que quería hacer en Murdervale, desarrollando a cada personaje poco a poco y viendo cómo evolucionan en un entorno del que siempre he sido un gran fan: el thriller de terror. Bueno, en Murdervale también quería honrar algunas de las películas con las que crecí en los años 80 y 90.
 
“También busqué un ritmo cómodo para el lector, y es por eso que cada arco comienza con una estructura similar en la construcción de la historia, con la intención de que el lector se sienta cómodo en un viaje que de alguna manera parece familiar, pero eso cambia. y aporta nueva información cada vez, creando un ambiente que le atrapa desde el primer minuto.”
 
Murdervale estará disponible en las librerías el 19 de septiembre de 2023 y en las tiendas de cómics el 20 de septiembre de 2023. Ya está disponible para pre-pedido en Amazon, Barnes & Noble y en su tienda de cómics y librería local.

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (February 9, 2023)— It’s time to travel to the middle of nowhere with Murdervale, a new horror graphic novel by Vicente Cifuentes, to be available in English for the first time! Originally published as three books under SAF Comics, the Dark Horse Books paperback edition will collect all three graphic novels into one.   Victor and Sara are going through a rough spell. Stress from work leads to constant arguments, but when Victor collapses, the couple decides it’s time to go on a vacation—doctor’s orders! With no destination in mind, they get in the car and drive. They encounter a shopkeeper who tells them about a town so remote it isn’t even on the map. When they manage to find it, Victor starts to get the feeling the town isn’t what it seems. Worse yet, Victor’s medication is causing nightmarish hallucinations—but what if they’re real? Now, it’s no longer about making sure their relationship survives–it’s about making sure they do.   “Murdervale has been one of the works that have brought me the most joy personally,” Cifuentes said, “not only when I started to write it, but also after the years, seeing how fans keep asking me for a new installment. When I started writing the first book, I could not imagine what I was really creating, I used it more as an artistic and personal catharsis; I needed to release this story into the world.   “I wanted to tell ordinary stories, with characters that people could easily connect with, and stories that would show us their inner worlds and their personal growing. This is what I wanted to do in Murdervale, by developing each character little by little and seeing how they evolve in an environment that I’ve always been a big fan of: horror-thriller.
