What does it come from?
NEW YORK UNDER SEIGE! Infernal Hulk's ultimate target is revealed: Reed Richards' mysterious "IMMACULATE ENGINE," a supernatural machine in the Baxter Building that could destroy Hulk's army in a single blow! Can the Fantastic Four resist Infernal Hulk's corruptive power, use the machine and save Earth? Or will they be the next monstrous recruits in Hulk's INFERNAL AVENGERS?
Plot
Infernal Hulk is terrorizing Manhattan and is being held at bay by Sue, Johnny, and Ben. Reed Richards possesses the blood of the One Above All and, using the "Immaculate Machine," has successfully grown the Sanguine Tree; this tree generates a hormone capable of counteracting the corruption caused by Infernal Hulk. Connecting the tree to the planet's biosphere promises to neutralize the infection spreading from Infernal Hulk.
The Sanguine Tree works.
However, just as they are about to test the Sanguine Tree on one of Infernal Hulk's modified monsters, a blackout hits the Baxter Building—Infernal Hulk is in the basement, sabotaging everything.
The Fantastic Four confront Infernal Hulk, but he corrupts them all and makes off with the Sanguine Tree, leaving Reed Richards critically injured—he is left lying in the street, seemingly fused with the ground.
This comic takes another step toward *Hulk War*—the conclusion of the Infernal Hulk saga—delivering a reading experience defined by terror and suspense. Phillip Kennedy Johnson hooks the reader with dynamic storytelling that captures the dramatic, desperate plight of Marvel's heroes.
Art
The artwork is highly detailed; despite the horror theme, the lighting is excellent and reveals everything clearly, all while maintaining a chilling atmosphere.
