Sinopsis: 

Los miembros de la banda de heavy metal Spinal Cord sueñan con triunfar en el mundo de la música.

Cuando son seleccionados para participar en una prestigiosa competición de gira patrocinada por el famoso sello de metal Pain Records, aprovechan la oportunidad de demostrar su valía. Lo que no saben es que los horrores que acechan su viaje son muy, muy reales, y que el concurso pondrá a prueba más que su talento musical. De hecho, alterará su percepción de la realidad...

Escrita por David Braña y con arte de Pahito, Spinal Cord es una carta de amor al heavy metal y una escalofriante historia de terror.

Trama 

Los integrantes de una banda de metal llamada Spinal Cord son invitados a una especie de festival de música para mostrar sus habilidades, este "festival" se llama ROUTE 666. La invitación incluye un mapa de un camino que no existe.

La banda la integra Angus en la guitarra, Angela como vocalista, Nicholas en la batería y Cliff toca el bajo. La camaradería y compañerismo de esta banda es clave para lo que están por afrontar, que son una serie de pruebas terroríficas orquestadas por el famoso pero misterioso productor musical Mr Scavenger, con la promesa de conseguirle su contrato en una disquera. Cada integrante tiene su personalidad y todos se aceptan como son.

La historia incluye comedia, mucha acción y terror clásico que recuerda mucho a películas como Evil Dead, donde veremos todo tipo de monstruos y situaciones peculiares y paranormales.

Hay muchas analogías sobre la aceptación, tolerancia y sobre la importancia de superar retos en la vida. Por supuesto hay referencias a la música así como un cameo de un conocido bajista del metal.

La lectura de este cómic es entretenida, emocionante y adictiva que no te permite alejar la mirada hasta leerla completa. Seas o no fanatico de la música metal, este cómic te va atrapar.

Arte 

Tiene varias influencias, entre catricura, ingenuo con excelente diseño de las expresiones faciales, todo esto ofrece un dinamismo interesante. La paleta de colores aporta suspenso a las escenas, donde el color rojo sirve como base para aterrorizar.

Plot

The members of a metal band called Spinal Cord are invited to a kind of music festival to show off their skills, this "festival" is called ROUTE 666. The invitation includes a map of a road that doesn't exist. The band is made up of Angus on guitar, Angela as vocalist, Nicholas on drums and Cliff plays bass guitar. The camaraderie and fellowship of this band is key to what they are about to face a series of terrifying tests orchestrated by the famous but mysterious music producer Mr Scavenger, with the promise of getting him a contract with a record label. Each member has his own personality and they all accept each other as they are. The story includes comedy, lots of action and classic horror that is very reminiscent of movies like Evil Dead, where we will see all kinds of monsters and peculiar and paranormal situations. There are many analogies about acceptance, tolerance and the importance of overcoming challenges in life. Of course there are references to music as well as a cameo by a well-known metal bassist. Reading this comic is entertaining, exciting and addictive, and you won't be able to look away until you've read it all. Whether you're a fan of metal music or not, this comic will captivate you.

Art It has several influences, a powerful mix of cartoonish and naivety with excellent design of facial expressions, all of which offer an interesting dynamism. The color palette adds suspense to the scenes, where the color red serves as a base to terrify.
