Desde el año 2003 las diferentes editoriales y distribuidores de cómics organizan el "Día del Cómic Gratis" (Free Comic Book Day), donde regalan cómics como promoción, que siempre se lleva a cabo el primer sábado del mes de mayo. Desde el año 1.999 que ha coincidido con la semana de estreno de un filme basado en cómics , este año será el 07 de Mayo semana de estreno de Doctor Strange en el Multiverso de la Locura.

Con historias de una alineación estelar de creadores, incluidos los escritores Kieron Gillen y Gerry Duggan y el artista Dustin Weaver, FREE COMIC BOOK DAY: AVENGERS/X-MEN #1 sentará las bases para un evento que estallará en todo el Universo Marvel en 2022. y alterará drásticamente la relación entre los héroes más poderosos de la Tierra y los mutantes.
Trama
