MARVEL COMICS ANUNCIA PROGRAMA DE PORTADAS ALTERNATIVAS PARA LA NUEVA LÍNEA MIDNIGHT

La nueva línea Midnight de Marvel rompe con todos los esquemas. Desde portadas ocultas hasta un lanzamiento exclusivo el mismo día, la audaz narrativa de la línea se complementa con iniciativas editoriales innovadoras diseñadas para entusiasmar a las tiendas de cómics y a los fans. Hoy, Marvel Comics presenta con orgullo nuevas portadas variantes para los números debut: MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #1, de Phillip Kennedy Johnson y ScieTronc; MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #1, de Benjamin Percy y Kev Walker; y MIDNIGHT X-MEN #1, de Jonathan Hickman y Matteo Della Fonte. Además, anuncia nuevos programas de portadas variantes para los tres títulos.

Si bien las historias de la serie Midnight pueden ser impredecibles, ahora será más fácil que nunca para los fans elegir su portada favorita. A partir del número 1, cada serie de MIDNIGHT presentará temas recurrentes en las portadas numeradas de la A a la E. Este nuevo programa, que aporta mayor accesibilidad y consistencia a la experiencia de coleccionar portadas variantes, permite a los lectores elegir sus favoritas y garantiza que su tienda de cómics habitual sepa exactamente lo que buscan cada mes, sin lugar a dudas. También habrá portadas variantes adicionales disponibles para los números que no formen parte de los programas de portadas variantes.

MARVEL COMICS ANNOUNCES ONGOING VARIANT COVER PROGRAM FOR NEW MIDNIGHT LINE

New variant covers revealed for MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #1, MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #1 and MIDNIGHT X-MEN #1, all on sale on October 7.

 

The new Midnight line will debut ongoing variant cover programs, with recurring themes across Covers A-E, as well as additional variant covers.

 

New York, NY— July 15, 2026 — Marvel’s new Midnight line is breaking all the rules. From Cloaked Covers to a dedicated same-day release, the line’s bold storytelling is matched by innovative publishing initiatives designed to spark excitement for comic shops and fans. Today, Marvel Comics proudly unveils new variant covers for the debut issues—MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #1 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and ScieTronc, MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #1 by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker, and MIDNIGHT X-MEN #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte—and announces all-new ONGOING VARIANT COVER PROGRAMS for the three titles.

 

While the stories found inside the Midnight series may be unpredictable, it’ll be easier than ever before for fans to pick out the cover of their choice. Starting with issue #1, each MIDNIGHT series will feature recurring themes across Covers labeled A-E. Bringing greater accessibility and consistency to the variant cover collecting experience, this new program allows readers to choose their favorites and ensure that their local comic shop knows exactly what they’ll want, every month, without question. THE FINAL RECKONING THAT LEADS TO A MAJOR SHAKEUP FOR THE AVENGERS! YOU'RE GOING DOWN, THUNDERBOLT ROSS! Red Hulk's tirade across the globe must be stopped! Until a mysterious new hero as powerful as the Sentry appears to level Red Hulk and the Avengers...
Plot
Plot: General Ross/Red Hulk, with the help of his Gamma-powered soldiers, attacks the country of Symkaria to further his political agenda of dominating New America. The Avengers (Fantastic Four, Sam Wilson, Captain Marvel, Vision, Namor, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Iron Man) confront Red Hulk, defying the United Nations.

The Avengers bring David Colton with them, who delivers a devastating beating to Red Hulk. In the process, they destroy the city of Kronlia, where Colton shows no restraint and disregards the collateral damage. Red Hulk is knocked unconscious and reverts to his human form as General Ross. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention, the Winter Guard (a Russian government-sponsored team composed of superpowered individuals) kidnaps Ross.

Iron Man confronts Colton about his actions. Colton tells him that everything that's happening is because they don't appreciate their powers and haven't done anything important with them, and then he leaves.

In Latveria, Tony Stark obtains Doctor Doom's mysterious artifact that predicts the future, which Red Hulk has been using to further his plans. However, David Colton's presence wasn't predicted by the artifact.

This event continues to weave political intrigue into the Marvel Universe, where the situation is becoming incredibly complex.

Artwork
The artwork is incredibly detailed and elevated to another level of quality with diverse textures, offering stunning and breathtaking designs. Heroic poses and numerous textures create a striking dynamism. This pair of illustrators is magnificent.

Summary
The Avengers use their secret weapon, David Colton, but the situation escalates and becomes increasingly complicated. An exciting and magnificent event.

As the Fallen Army spreads across the globe, Infernal Hulk sets his sights on the Baxter Building and the secret weapon that MR. FANTASTIC thinks will end Hulk's conquest of Earth! Meanwhile, BRUCE BANNER and DOCTOR VOODOO undertake a suicide mission into the Soul Cages to steal a weapon of a different sort...


Plot
Bruce Banner and Doctor Voodoo enter the Soul Cage, where they find Sumanguru, who possesses gamma power in this astral realm. This comic connects to Incredible Hulk #13 from 2024. Apparently, Banner wants to obtain Sumanguru's gamma power by challenging him to a riddle competition.

Meanwhile, Infernal Hulk allows monsters to attack a town where Charlie lives, but she attacks them transformed into the half-wolf Lycana.

Iron Man has a plan to stop Infernal Hulk, so he sends Captain Marvel to a distant location in the cosmos to find a mysterious figure who can help them.

This comic connects directly to the Incredible Hulk saga by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Nic Klein, so it's helpful to refresh your memory of what happened to better understand the events in this installment.

It's very somber, with more linework that gives it a different, organic dynamism.

Pero si completa su misión de derrocar a los Tres Reyes, nada detendrá a la horda alienígena en su intento por masacrar a los últimos vestigios de la humanidad. Y por si un Xenomorfo y una guerra civil humana no fueran suficientes, de las sombras emerge una nueva amenaza…

Trama
Idris (Blue King) y Zain (Green King) son visitados por Aisha (White Queen) quien les advierte que en el laboratorio donde fueron creados con ADN xenomorfo esta por desatarse una infestación incontrolable de xenomorfos.

La historia se sigue desviando hacia otro nuevo subuniverso de personajes y olvidó por completo a los Aliens/Xenomorfos, que deberían ser el centro de la trama, por lo tanto es confuso leer un cómic de Alien donde no están presentes como una verdadera amenaza.

Arte
Es detallado cuya anatomía recuerda a las series animadas en la década de 1990.

Resumen

What does it come from?
On a planet infested with alien Xenomorphs, the bioengineered warrior Idris knows in his bones that his siblings are all monsters who deserve to die. But if he completes his quest to depose the Three Kings, there will be nothing to stop the alien horde from slaughtering the last of humanity. And if a Xenomorph and a human civil war weren't enough, from the shadows emerges a new threat...

Plot
Idris (Blue King) and Zain (Green King) are visited by Aisha (White Queen), who warns them that an uncontrollable xenomorph infestation is about to be unleashed in the laboratory where they were created using xenomorph DNA.

The story continues to veer off into another new sub-universe of characters and completely forgets about the Aliens/Xenomorphs, who should be the focus of the plot. Therefore, it's confusing to read an Alien comic where they aren't present as a real threat.

Artwork
It's detailed, with anatomy reminiscent of the animated series from the 1990s.


Summary
Idris and Zain reunite with their sister Aisha to investigate a new threat.

“THE UNBELIEVABLES,” Part Three
For the first time, the Rocketfellers finally meet Hornsby & Halo! When Rose Hornsby, Zach Halo, and the Trillion Dollar Kid—aka Tommy Townsend III—confront the family from the 25th century about their secret, they unleash deadly chaos when Tommy’s overprotective robot bodyguard unleashes his full capability!

Plot
The Trillion Dollar Kid, Zach, Rose, and Sterling visit the Rocketfellers just as they're singing "Happy Birthday" to Rachel, a bittersweet moment because Roland, Rae, Richie, Rodney, and Raina are still grieving Roland's tragic disappearance. Tommy tries to explain that he needs their help to find his parents and reveals that he knows the Rocketfellers are Unbelievable, which stresses everyone out and raises the tension.

Sterlington's presence makes Rodney suspicious, and he starts fighting the robot with the help of Richie and the dog Rex. Zach and Rose activate their powers, but the battle calms down when Tommy intervenes and asks them to remain calm.

Rachel sees a photo of Tommy's parents and recognizes them. Six months ago, they encountered them and left a note in Roland's jacket warning them to be careful, as they are being monitored.

Zach and Rose promise Richie that when they have enough energy, they'll take him to Purgatory to find out if Roland is in Heaven or Hell, just like they did with Tommy in Hornsby & Halo #14.

Richie shows Tommy that he's been trying to activate his missing father's time machine for a while, but he still needs some work. Tommy connects Sterling to Richie's equipment, and something unexpected happens: a virus from the future, where AIs have become emancipated, infects Sterling, turning him into a killer robot.

This crossover, The Unbelievables, continues to surprise and concludes in The Trillion Dollar Kid #2.

Artwork
Full of detail and textures that create an interesting and mesmerizing organic effect, all of this achieves a futuristic and somewhat terrifying tone.

Summary
