Trama

El Doctor Molotov ve como Geiger no puede controlar esa emanación de energía y trata de entrar en el búnker donde está su familia. En este cómic no explican lo que le ocurrió a la familia de Geiger, le recomendamos que lean el primer volumen y se preparen para que se les rompa el corazón.

Molotov ve en Geiger el mismo dolor que siente por que tambien perdio a su familia, asi que decide ayudarlo creando un traje con dos barra de Boron que permite contener su radiactividad, al quitar la barras, la radiactividad que Geiger emana es letal, es capaz de eliminar el oxígeno de un área. Al parecer el tratamiento experimental contra el cáncer de huesos que recibió Tariq le hizo absorber la radiación y hasta curar su cuerpo, sus células se activaron de una manera diferente.

Molotov explica a Tariq que su familia no puede salir del bunker sin el equipo necesario hasta que toda la radiación baje su intensidad, de lo contrario morirán.

Molotov confiesa a Geiger que formó parte del equipo de investigación del Research Institute 1011 creando así la tecnología para hacer que la radiación de una bomba nuclear se transfiera en áreas más grandes a través del aire, logró aumentar el daño de una bomba nuclear. Aunque Molotov se siente culpable de esta hecatombe, Geiger le deja claro que no fue él quien pulsó el botón.

Geiger acompaña a Molotov a buscar a su esposa Lena, pero lo que se encuentran es un cadáver, lamentablemente Molotov ve como el caos que generó su tecnología acabó con la civilización y una era oscura de barbarie comienza.

Tariq y Molotov entablan una amistad, pero convivir con el temperamento errático de Geiger fue difícil y ambos se separaron, veinte años después Molotov aún piensa que será de la vida de Geiger.

Al final el cómic muestra una secuencia donde el Robot Junkyard Joe mezcla diferentes recuerdos de varios de los personajes del nuevo universo unificado de Ghost Machine.

Tragedia, dolor y barbarie distópica cierran esta historia de origen clave para lo que va a traer Ghost Machine.

Arte 

Gary Frank y Brad Anderson muestran un mundo distópico y logran secuencias que parecen mezclar Mad Max con ciencia ficción, con una hipnotizante cantidad de detalles que hacen de cada panel una obra de arte.

In the fallout of the UNKNOWN WAR, Tariq Geiger must fight for his own survival from what’s left of society…as well as find whatever humanity remains inside his nuclear-powered body. But only with the help of his sole ally, Dr. Molotov, can he gain an understanding of his powers…and ward off the hunters after him. This all sets the stage for the upcoming monthly GEIGER series in 2024!

Plot

Doctor Molotov sees how Geiger cannot control this emanation of energy and tries to enter the bunker where his family is. In this comic they do not explain what happened to Geiger's family, we recommend that you read the first volume and prepare to have your heart broken.

Molotov sees in Geiger the same pain that he feels because he also lost his family, so he decides to help him by creating a suit with two Boron bars that allows his radioactivity to be contained. By removing the bars, the radioactivity that Geiger emanates is lethal, he is capable of of removing oxygen from an area. Apparently the experimental bone cancer treatment that Tariq received made him absorb the radiation and until his body healed, his cells were activated in a different way.

Molotov explains to Tariq that his family cannot leave the bunker without the necessary equipment until all the radiation subsides, otherwise they will die.

Molotov confesses to Geiger that he was part of the Research Institute 1011 research team, thus creating the technology to make the radiation from a nuclear bomb transferred over larger areas through the air, managing to increase the damage of a nuclear bomb. Although Molotov feels guilty for this catastrophe, Geiger makes it clear that he was not the one who pressed the button.

Geiger accompanies Molotov to look for his wife Lena, but what they find is a corpse. Unfortunately, Molotov sees how the chaos generated by his technology ended civilization and a dark era of barbarism begins.

Tariq and Molotov strike up a friendship, but living with Geiger's erratic temperament was difficult and they both separated. Twenty years later, Molotov still thinks it will be Geiger's life.

At the end the comic shows a sequence where Robot Junkyard Joe mixes different memories of several of the characters from the new unified universe of Ghost Machine.

Tragedy, pain and dystopian barbarism close this key origin story for what Ghost Machine is going to bring.

Art

Gary Frank and Brad Anderson show a dystopian world and achieve sequences that seem to mix Mad Max with science fiction, with a hypnotizing amount of detail that makes each panel a work of art.

Trama

Este cómic precuela comienza seis mese después de la hecatombe nuclear, con el misterioso Doctor Molotov tras la pista del Hombre que Brilla, Geiger y que es responsable de la muerte de un soldado. Molotov está buscando a su esposa Lena y necesita eliminar a Geiger para poder ir a buscarla. Molotov es al parecer quien creo el misil Nuclear que impactó en las Vegas y creó este mundo distópico.

Luego la historia se traslada a días antes de la exlosion nuclear donde Tariq Geiger vivía con su esposa Tracy y sus hijos Violet y Marcus, pero Tariq estaba bajo tratamiento de cáncer.

Toda la familia se traslada al búnker nuclear que Taqui tiene en su patio trasero, pero es abordado por su vecino Kyle que se lo iba a arrebatar con un arma, Tracy y los niños lograron entrar y cerrar pero la bomba nuclear explota y Geiger aboserbe esta radiacion y su condición especial de de Cáncer lo convierte es este ser inmune ala radiacion pero eun estado inestable.

Los recuerdos de Tariq quedaron afectados por la radiación.

Esta primera entrega narra el trágico origen de este antihéroe tan interesante, este es el cómic que deben leer porque apenas es la punta del iceberg radiactivo.

Arte 

Gary Frank y Brad Anderson logran el balance perfecto entre dos tonos opuestos, lúgubre con radiante, donde los detalles son tantos que merece ser leído con detenimiento.

Resumen

El doloroso origen de Geiger así como todo el universo de Ghost Machine comienza en esta serie que balancea el terror con paranoia nuclear

Plot

This prequel comic begins six months after the nuclear disaster, with the mysterious Doctor Molotov on the trail of the Shining Man, Geiger, who is responsible for the death of a soldier.

Molotov is looking for her wife Lena and needs to eliminate Geiger so he can go find her. Molotov is apparently the one who created the Nuclear missile that hit Las Vegas and created this dystopian world.

Then the story moves to days before the nuclear explosion where Tariq Geiger lived with his wife Tracy and his children Violet and Marcus, but Tariq was undergoing cancer treatment.

The whole family moves to the nuclear bunker that Taqui has in his backyard, but is approached by his neighbor Kyle who was going to take it away with a gun. Tracy and the children managed to enter and close it, but the nuclear bomb explodes and Geiger aboserbe. radiation and his special condition as a Cancer apparently made him unable to absorb radiation.

Tariq's memories were affected by the radiation.

This first installment narrates the tragic origin of this very interesting antihero, this is the comic you should read because it is just the tip of the radioactive iceberg.

Art

Gary Frank and Brad Anderson achieve the perfect balance between two opposite tones, gloomy with radiant, where the details are so many that it deserves to be read carefully.

Summary

The painful origin of Geiger as well as the entire Ghost Machine universe begins in this series that balances terror with nuclear paranoia.

The special two-issue prequel series reveals the explosive origins of Tariq Geiger, the mysterious Glowing Man first introduced in Johns and Frank’s hit series GEIGER, which launched in 2021 and was published by Image Comics. GEIGER is also being developed for television at Paramount TV with Justin Simien attached to direct.

 

On sale November 15, GROUND ZERO #1 continues the saga of the THE UNNAMED, returning to the apocalyptic world of GEIGER to discover what happened to Tariq Geiger in the days after the nuclear bombs first dropped?
