¿De Qué viene?
De los cocreadores de Something is Killing the Children, The Nice House on the Lake, The Department of Truth y Powers, ganadores de varios premios Eisner y bestsellers del New York Times, llega esta ambiciosa experiencia de cómic de no ficción que representa historias reales. de secuestros de ovnis con miras a capturar la extraña esencia de esos encuentros.
En 1947, Kenneth Arnold voló su Call-Air A-2 sobre los cielos del noroeste del Pacífico cuando, de repente, vio un destello cegador de luz plateada. Lo que siguió fue un encuentro extraño y difícil de explicar con varios objetos voladores que cambiarían el curso de su vida para siempre.

Trama y Arte
Este cómic incluye dos historias, la primera en la principal y larga que queda abierta para varias entregas y la segunda es una historia corta de una sola entrega:
BLUE BOOK 1947 escrito por JAMES TYNION IV con arte de MICHAEL AVON OEMING y rotulado por Tom Napolitano: la historia principal narra el avistamiento de unos objetos extraños y brillantes por el piloto Kenneth Arnorld en 1947, quien estaba buscando el sitio donde se estrello una aeronave en Mount Rainer en Washington DC en EE.UU.
Estos cuerpos luminosos tenían un patrón de vuelo parecido al de un "disco saltando sobre el agua", al verlas con detalles parecían aeronaves en una formación de gansos. Luego estas aeronaves desaparecieron a toda velocidad. De este evento surge la famosa definición "Platillo Volador".
Arnold aterrizo y le coeto esto a otros pilotos de la zona que le aconsejaron ocultarlo, Arnold no conforme fue a la prensa local y su realto fue tan convincente que lo publicaorn en el Chivago Tribune, desde ese moento Arnold fue entrevistado por varios medios y recibio cartas de dicenas de percoas afirmando que vieron lo mismo ese mismo dia en ese misno lugar.
El F.B.I contacto a Arnold y a todos los testigos, determinando que existe una misma narrativa. Arnold pensó inicialmente que eran unas aeronaves soviéticas debido a que la Guerra Fría estaba comenzando y la carrera armamentista estaba en auge, pero luego la versión de muchos se dirigió a naves de otro planeta.
La narrativa de esta historia es hipnotizante, te atrapa panel a panel con una sensación de estar leyendo/viendo un documental.
El arte usa tono y paleta de colores azul y negro, que ayudado a un excelente leguaje corporar, explica como ocurren los hehcos proporcionando un velo de misterio y suspenso.

TRUE WEIRD “THE DUNGARVON WHOOPER” de Zac Thompson, Gavin Fullerton y Aditya Bidikar: Se basa en el misterioso caso de los leñadores de Brunswick- Canadá en 1894, cuando uno de los leñadores asesinan a otro y todos empezaron a experimentar visiones fantasmales.

What does it come from?
From the New York Times bestselling and multi-Eisner award-winning co-creators of Something is Killing the Children, The Nice House on the Lake, The Department of Truth, and Powers comes this ambitious, non-fiction comic book experience depicting true stories of UFO abductions with an eye to capturing the strange essence of those encounters.
In 1947, Kenneth Arnold flew his Call-Air A-2 over the skies ofthe Pacific Northwest when all of a sudden he saw a blinding flash of silver light. What followed was a bizarre and difficult to explain encounter with several flying objects that would change the course of his life forever.
Tiny Onion Studios and Dark Horse Comics present a line of upcoming creator-owned work from the mind of James Tynion IV across a broad spectrum of his interests, from non-fiction supernatural encounters to high concept coming-of-age monster comics.
Plot
This comic includes two stories, the first in the main and long story that is open for several installments and the second is a short story with a single installment:
BLUE BOOK 1947 written by JAMES TYNION IV with art by MICHAEL AVON OEMING and lettered by Tom Napolitano: the main story tells of the sighting of some strange and shiny objects by pilot Kenneth Arnorld in 1947, who was searching for the site where an aircraft crashed in Mount Rainer in Washington DC in the USA.
These luminous bodies had a flight pattern similar to that of a "disc jumping over water", when viewed in detail they looked like aircraft in a formation of geese. Then these aircraft disappeared at full speed. From this event arises the famous definition "Flying Saucer".
Arnold landed and reported this to other pilots in the area who advised him to hide it. Arnold, not satisfied, went to the local press and his story was so convincing that it was published in the Chivago Tribune. From that moment on, Arnold was interviewed by several media outlets and received Letters from women from Percoas stating that they saw the same thing that same day in that same place.
The F.B.I contacted Arnold and all the witnesses, determining that the same narrative exists. Arnold initially thought they were Soviet aircraft because the Cold War was beginning and the arms race was booming, but then many people's version turned to ships from another planet.
The narrative of this story is hypnotizing, it captures you panel by panel with a feeling of reading/watching a documentary.
The art uses blue and black tone and color palette, which, aided by excellent body language, explains how events occur, providing a veil of mystery and suspense.

TRUE WEIRD “THE DUNGARVON WHOOPER” by Zac Thompson, Gavin Fullerton and Aditya Bidikar: It is based on the mysterious case of the loggers of Brunswick, Canada in 1894, when one of the loggers murdered another and everyone began to experience ghostly visions.
