"Ya sabes, a veces surge un proyecto y simplemente tienes que pellizcarte para creer que te toca participar", compartió Tieri. Como escritor, ¿qué más se puede pedir? “Ya know, sometimes a project comes along and you just have to pinch yourself that you get to be involved with it,” Tieri shared. “I mean, here you have two of the most iconic properties in entertainment—Captain America, who is basically the ultimate hero, going against Alien, one of the ultimate names in horror. As a writer, what more can you ask for than that? Now I pitched this knowing I wanted it to be a period piece with WW2 as the backdrop because I knew it would give me so many fun elements to play with… Cap vs the Red Skull, Baron Strucker in the Himalayas looking for Attilan, Bucky interacting with the Howling commandos, Hydra using the Xenomorphs as weapons, etc. We’ve got all that in the and more as fans can expect a nice mix of horror and heroics… and more than a few surprises thrown in for good measure.”

Justo en el Retailer Panel de la Comic-Con de San Diego, Marvel Comics reveló nuevas portadas variantes de Russell Dauterman, Daniel Warren Johnson y Frank Miller para DEADPOOL/BATMAN #1, el one-shot crossover de Marvel/DC que llegará a las librerías el 17 de septiembre y será seguido por BATMAN/DEADPOOL #1, un one-shot publicado por DC en noviembre. 

Ambos cómics presentarán historias principales explosivas que enfrentan al Mercenario Bocón de Marvel contra el Enmascarado de DC, junto con historias secundarias protagonizadas por equipos y enfrentamientos adicionales entre Marvel y DC.

Both comics will feature explosive main stories that pit Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth against DC’s Caped Crusader along with backup stories starring additional Marvel/DC team-ups and showdowns.

 

Superstar Russell Dauterman newly revealed variant cover, an homage to George Pérez’s Infinity Gauntlet #1, spotlights many of these tales including one also announced at the panel that features Rocket Raccoon and Green Lantern, written by mastermind cosmic storyteller Al Ewing and drawn by acclaimed artist Dike Ruan.

 

“The pairing of Rocket Raccoon and Green Lantern felt very random when I was assigned it, but you can chart a line between any two characters that'll take you through a kaleidoscope of connections between one universe and the other - and that's what we've done," shared Ewing.

 

Other DEADPOOL/BATMAN #1 variant covers showcased at today’s Retailer Panel come from acclaimed artist Daniel Warren Johnson and industry legend Frank Miller. In addition to his cover, Miller will be writing and drawing a backup story starring Wolverine from the dystopian Old Man Logan story arc and the future version of Batman from Miller’s comic book masterpiece, The Dark Knight Returns. Daniel Warren Johnson’s cover highlights a showdown between two iconic Jack Kirby creations, the Thing and Big Barda.

Recién anunciada por la escritora Erica Schultz en el panel Women of Marvel en la Comic-Con de San Diego, Laura Kinney, también conocida como Wolverine, encabezará una nueva serie en solitario en curso este diciembre. Después de su trabajo en X-23: Deadly Genesis del año pasado, Schultz regresa al icónico personaje, esta vez formando equipo con la artista estrella en ascenso Giada Belviso (Blood Hunters, Jackpot y Black Cat).

Just announced by writer Erica Schultz at the Women of Marvel Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Laura Kinney, A.K.A. Wolverine, will headline an all-new solo ongoing series this December! Following her work on last year’s X-23: Deadly Genesis, Schultz returns to the iconic character, this time teaming up with rising star artist Giada Belviso (Blood Hunters, Jackpot & Black Cat). LAURA KINNEY: WOLVERINE begins an exciting new era for Logan’s daughter, who’s enjoyed previous success with solo runs including Tom Taylor’s acclaimed All-New Wolverine.

 

The new series will see Wolverine enter the darkest corners of the Marvel Universe, places that neither the X-Men nor her friends in NYX would dare go, to defend mutants who can’t defend themselves. Her violent methods and unstoppable determination make her a one-mutant army, striking fear in those that take advantage of her kind. But as her reputation grows and more mutants in need turn to her, she may just find herself a target herself…

Set in the X-Men’s new era, Alyssa Wong and Vincenzo Carratù’s PSYLOCKE begins this November.

 

New York, NY— July 27, 2024 — Just now at the Marvel Comics: X-Men: From the Ashes Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, and a host of X-Men creators gave fans the scoop on what’s to come in the exciting new era of X-Men comics storytelling, including the reveal of all-new solo ongoing series—PSYLOCKE! Launching in November, PSYLOCKE will be written by Alyssa Wong, known for their acclaimed work on Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and Deadpool, and drawn by rising star Vincenzo Carratù, the artist currently delivering explosive vampire slaying action in Dracula: Blood Hunt.

 

PSYLOCKE will tie into the character’s current status quo established in Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-Men #1 where she lends her deadly expertise to Cyclops’ team of X-Men operating out of Alaska. However, there are missions that aren’t suitable for the X-Men and require Psylocke to embrace the teachings of her dark past!

 

After taking on the mantle of Psylocke, Kwannon became one of Krakoa’s breakout stars in titles like Hellions and Uncanny Avengers. Now, the telepathic and telekinetic ninja goes solo! Her upcoming adventures feature appearances by her lover Greycrow, shed light on her brutal upbringing with the Hand, and introduce a twisted super villain called the Taxonomist!

 

SHE WAS MADE FOR VIOLENCE! Trained to be an assassin since birth, Kwannon chose to be an X-Man. But there are still some jobs too dirty for the X-Men. And some paths have to be walked alone. When the mission is brutal, Psylocke unsheathes her blades to punish those who prey on mutants.
