TRAMA

La nueva lección consiste en usar la clarividencia, usando su sangre en una laguna. Sara sin querer se corta más de una vez y ve a Hellboy como un demonio, pero también ve a la Sra Brooks como la muerte. Sara no sabe que todo es una trampa para aprovechar sus grandes poderes de bruja.

Este cómic posee una narrativa muy interesante basada en varias secuencias de imágenes sin diálogos, que le da un ritmo narrativo interesante y muy sugestivo.

ARTE

El arte ofrece ese tono de misterio y terror del lugar donde vive Sara, donde ella esta en su total desconocimiento.

Resumen

Sara es vigilada con detenimiento por un mal que desea aprovechar su poder nato de bruja que ella misma desconoce que lo tenga.

Excelente historia que expande y apoya el universo de Hellboy

What does it come from?

Sara May Blackburn begins her special training with the mysterious Ms. Brooks at the Linton School for Girls. As she learns more about her special powers, she's faced with new and dangerous challenges--but could they be a distraction from something more than magical education that's going on at the mysterious school?

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola partners with celebrated author Angela Slatter and artist extraordinaire Valeria Burzo for a new adventure from the world of Hellboy!

PLOT

Sara continues to study but the Master Air demon wants her to learn and unleash her power, so she forces Ms. Brooks to give her special lessons.

The new lesson is to use clairvoyance, using her blood in a pond. Sara inadvertently cuts herself more than once and sees Hellboy as a demon, but she also sees Ms. Brooks as death. Sara doesn't know that everything is a trap to take advantage of her great witch powers.

This comic has a very interesting narrative based on several sequences of images without dialogue, which gives it an interesting and very suggestive narrative rhythm.

ART

The art offers that tone of mystery and terror of the place where Sara lives, where she is totally unaware of.

Summary

Sara is carefully watched by an evil that wants to take advantage of her witch-born power that she herself does not know she has.

Excellent story that expands and supports the Hellboy universe

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (June 13, 2022)— This September, legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and acclaimed artist Valeria Burzo will be joined by award-winning novelist Angela Slatter for Castle Full of Blackbirds, an all-new miniseries from Dark Horse Comics. The four-issue miniseries will mark Slatter’s comic-book writing debut. Mignola, Slatter, and Burzo will be joined by colorist Michelle Madsen, letterer Clem Robins, and cover artist Wylie Beckert. Vanesa Del Rey will provide a variant cover for issue #1. Castle Full of Blackbirds continues the story of Sara May Blackburn, the fan-favorite character from Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: The Return of Effie Kolb. When Sara May headed for New York after the events of The Return of Effie Kolb, she had one goal in mind: find the mysterious Miss Brook at the Linton School for Girls, and ask her what she knows about the mysterious powers that have plagued Sara May her whole life. But as is often the case with these things, the answers are not as simple as all that.
