¿De Qué viene?
Durante una excursión a una residencia de ancianos, un grupo de antiguas estrellas de Hollywood se topa con un bebé Kaiju que huye de agentes militares. Tras entablar rápidamente amistad con la criatura, este grupo de ex-celebridades debe encontrar la manera de poner al Kaiju a salvo, ¡antes de que provoque el fin del mundo!

Trama
Una visita guiada al bosque de un geriátrico de celebridades retiradas de Hollywood, se complica cuando los ancianos Brock (actor retirado cine y TV), Loretta (directora laureada), Tyrone (comediante alcohólico rehabilitado), CeeCee (modelo y sex symbol), Bazza(cantante y ex-líder de una banda de Heavy Metal) y Bob (nadie sabe nada de él) se pierden de vista de la enfermera Lucy y el chofer Matt. Todos estos personajes están basados en verdaderas celebridades de Hollywood.
Estos seis septuagenarios tienen personalidades muy marcadas y viven con el peso de sus enfermedades y limitaciones por su edad, pero todos son tomados por sorpresa cuando ven caer algo del cielo que se estrelló muy cerca de ellos.
Lo que parece ser un avión siniestrado, es en realidad un Kaiju, un monstruo gigante terrorífico que se comunica con Brock de manera psíquica. Brock se presenta y les muestra a todos con una conexión mental que este ser es el hijo bebe de un Kaiju más grande y ven en el futuro en mundo en ruinas porque es controlado por el ejército de EE.UU.
Tyrone pide que dejen de llamarlo el bebé, para llamarlo mejor Jones, en honor a un compañero del ancianato que era un ex jugador de la NFL.
Este grupo de ancianos están seguros que deben llevar a Jones al océano Pacífico de donde viene, para evitar una catástrofe mundial, sin embargo el ejército de EE.UU ya está en camino para atrapar a Jones.
Los diálogos son hilarantes, típicos de una grupo de personas de la tercera edad que rememora y narran sus recuerdos, donde sacan a relucir su poca paciencia y tolerancia.
Jones aunque es gigante ofrece un aura de ternura divertida.
Excelente comienzo de una nueva serie que lleva el género Kaiju a una zona distinta, donde los héroes no son jóvenes y atléticos, son sabios y gruñones.
Arte
Es una mezcla entre ingenuo y expresivo, donde las caras y lenguaje corporal te traslada inmediatamente a este lugar con elementos familiares y nuevos, donde el kaiju Jones a pesar de ser un monstruo terminas adorándolo y no temiéndole.
Resumen
Excelente comienzo de una nueva serie que lleva el género Kaiju a una zona distinta, donde los héroes no son jóvenes y atléticos, si no sabios, divertidos y gruñones

What does it come from?
While on a retirement community field trip, a group of ageing ex-Hollywood stars encounter a baby KAIJU on the run from military agents. Bonding quickly with the creature, the cantankerous cadre of former celebrities have to somehow get the kaiju to safety—before it causes the end of the world!

Plot
A guided tour of a retirement home for Hollywood celebrities takes a turn for the worse when the elderly residents—Brock (a retired film and TV actor), Loretta (an award-winning director), Tyrone (a recovering alcoholic comedian), CeeCee (a model and sex symbol), Bazza (a singer and former frontman of a heavy metal band), and Bob (whose whereabouts are unknown)—lose sight of nurse Lucy and driver Matt. All of these characters are based on real Hollywood celebrities.
These six septuagenarians have very distinct personalities and live with the burden of their illnesses and age-related limitations, but they are all taken by surprise when something falls from the sky and crashes very close to them.
What appears to be a plane crash is actually a Kaiju, a terrifying giant monster that communicates with Brock psychically. Brock introduces himself and shows everyone, through a mental connection, that this being is the baby offspring of a larger Kaiju. They see a future world in ruins, controlled by the U.S. military.
Tyrone asks them to stop calling him "the baby" and instead call him Jones, in honor of a fellow resident of the retirement home who was a former NFL player.
This group of elderly people is convinced they must return Jones to the Pacific Ocean, where he came from, to prevent a global catastrophe. However, the U.S. military is already on its way to capture Jones.
The dialogue is hilarious, typical of a group of senior citizens reminiscing and sharing their memories, revealing their short tempers and lack of tolerance.
Despite his gigantic size, Jones exudes an amusing endearment.
An excellent start to a new series that takes the Kaiju genre to a different territory, where the heroes aren't young and athletic, but wise and grumpy.
Art
It's a blend of naiveté and expressiveness, where the characters' faces and body language immediately transport you to this world with its familiar yet novel elements. Even though the kaiju Jones is a monster, you end up adoring him rather than fearing him.
Summary
An excellent start to a new series that takes the kaiju genre to a different level, where the heroes aren't young and athletic, but wise, funny, and grumpy
