En la Star Wars Celebration Japón, los fans se reunieron en el panel Lucasfilm Publishing: Historias de una Galaxia Muy, Muy Lejana… para descubrir algunas de las emocionantes historias de cómics de Star Wars que Marvel Comics y Lucasfilm lanzarán a finales de este año.

New York, NY— April 18, 2025 — Earlier today at Star Wars Celebration Japan, fans gathered at the Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away… panel to learn about some of the exciting Star Wars comic stories coming from Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm later this year.

 

Joined by acclaimed Marvel Comics writers Marc Guggenheim (Star Wars: Jedi Knights), Alyssa Wong (Star Wars: Doctor Aphra), Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters) and more, Marvel Comics Editor In Chief C.B. Cebulski revealed a host of upcoming covers for Marvel’s Star Wars ongoing titles and announced STAR WARS: THE HIGH REPUBLIC - THE FINALE: THE BEACON #1, a one-shot where writer Cavan Scott and artist Marika Cresta deliver the breathtaking conclusion to Phase III of the High Republic storytelling initiative.

 

Showcased at the panel were the covers of STAR WARS #3-4, part of the new Star Wars flagship series by Alex Segura and Phil Noto that’s set in the post-Return of the Jedi era and launches on May 7. The panel also shared a glimpse at the mysterious new leader of the Knights of Ren with the reveal of STAR WARS LEGACY OF VADER #6-8, upcoming chapters of Charles Soule and Luke Ross’ hit series uncovering Kylo Ren’s journey between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Fans also saw what upcoming Jedi adventures await in STAR WARS: JEDI KNIGHTS, the new series by Marc Guggenheim and Madibek Musabekov that follows the in Jedi of the prequel era. Among the STAR WARS: JEDI KNIGHTS cover reveals was issue #8, on sale later this year, which spotlights Jedi Master Kelleran Beq, the character played by actor Ahmed Best in The Mandalorian. There was also excitement about STAR WARS: DOCTOR APHRA – CHAOS AGENT, the upcoming Doctor Aphra solo series by Cherish Chen and Gabriel Guzman that begins in June.

 

Celebration attendees also have a chance to pick up STAR WARS: BEYOND VICTORY #1, an exclusive comic by Ethan Sacks, Will Sliney, Steven Cummings and Shogo Aoki that serves as prequel to Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset, a new Meta Quest experience in development at Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm.

Ryan Gosling protagoniza Star Wars: Starfighter y Mando con Grogu tienen fecha de estreno

 

Lucasfilm anunció que la nueva película de Star Wars dirigida por Shawn Levy que llegará a los cines en mayo de 2027.

Kathleen Kennedy (Presidenta de Lucasfilm) y Dave Filoni (Director Creativo de Lucasfilm) anunciaron durante la Star Wars Celebration 2025 en Japón, una nueva película ambientada en la galaxia de Star Wars. Se trata de Star Wars: Starfighter, que llegará a los cines de Latinoamérica en mayo de 2027. Dirigida por Shawn Levy y protagonizada por Ryan Gosling, es una aventura independiente que tiene lugar aproximadamente cinco años después de los acontecimientos de Star Wars: Episodio IX – El Ascenso de Skywalker de 2019.

Star Wars: Starfighter comenzará su producción este otoño boreal, es una aventura completamente inédita con personajes totalmente nuevos ambientada en un período de tiempo que aún no se ha explorado en la gran pantalla. Levy es director y productor de películas y series de televisión como Deadpool & Wolverine y Stranger Things. 

Gosling protagonizó recientemente la superproducción de 2024 Barbie, por la que recibió nominaciones al Oscar® y al Globo de Oro®. Otros créditos suyos incluyen La La Land, Diario de una pasión y Loco y estúpido amor.

Por otro lado la fecha de estreno en cines de The Mandalorian & Grogu es el 22 de mayo de 2026, trae de vuelta a nuestro dúo favorito con rostros conocidos como Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios y un nuevo personaje en la galaxia muy, muy lejana, interpretado por la legendaria Sigourney Weaver. Weaver y el mismísimo Mandaloriano, Pedro Pascal, se unieron al panel entre los vítores entusiastas del público.

Weaver admitió que no había visto la serie de Disney+ cuando le propusieron el papel, pero no tardó mucho en hacerse fan. "Cuando vi [El Mandaloriano], me enamoré de todos los personajes, especialmente de este", dijo Weaver, señalando a Pascal. "Y, por supuesto, Grogu me robó el corazón".

En fotos exclusivas mostradas al público de la Star Wars Celebration Japón, Weaver y Pascal lucieron increíbles con sus trajes, con Weaver con el familiar mono naranja de piloto de Ala-X. Un primer vistazo especial mostró a ambos chocando, ya que el Mandaloriano no es partidario de la autoridad, y el personaje de Weaver la ejerce con naturalidad.

Cebulski and Senior Lucasfilm Creative Executive Matt Martin to reveal the upcoming sagas gracing the pages of Marvel’s hit Star Wars comics including DARK DROIDS, an ambitious new event launching this summer!

 

Following recent events like “War of the Bounty Hunters” and “Crimson Reign,” STAR WARS: DARK DROIDS will be spearheaded by Charles Soule who will write the main limited series alongside artist Luke Ross.
