Ghost Machine Productions lanza REDCOAT un nuevo personaje que lo conocimos en los dos especiales GEIGER 80-PAGE GIANT #1 (2022) y GHOST MACHINE #1 ONE-SHOT (2024), del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Bryan Hitch, que narra las aventuras de un casi héroe de guerra que forma parte del universo de los UNNAMED que incluye a Geiger y Junkyard Joe.
¿De qué viene?
¡Saludos, colega! Soy Simon Pure, el soldado inmortal, pícaro y apuesto, cuyas divertidas aventuras sin duda has estado siguiendo. Por desgracia, no puedo, en conciencia, contarte mucho sobre este capítulo de mi sórdido pasado. Y menos aún antes de que descubras la espectacular sorpresa del número 15… bueno, mejor lo dejo ahí.

Trama
Albert Einstein está molesto con la credulidad de Simón respecto a la promesa se Benedict Arnold de poder otorgarle a ambos y a sus familiares la inmortalidad.
Simón le pide a Albert que sigan el juego de Arnold, porque aunque sabe que los está manipulando hay la posibilidad de que cumpla su palabra, porque si los hubiera querido matar ya lo hubiese intentado.
Benedict lleva a Simón y a Albert al tesoro escondido de Paul Revere, un importante precursor que por su falta de deseo de poder y convertirse en un Padre Fundador despertó la desconfianza en todos menos en George Washington quien le ofreció la inmortalidad, Revere es brutalmente asesinado y en sus diarios está el ritual de inmortalidad.
Cuando Benedict consigue el diario, la habitación se inunda y la secta de los Founding Fathers se llevan a Benedict, mientras Simón rescata a Albert.
Este nuevo arco sigue aumentando el nivel de tensión y misterio mientras sigue mezclando la historia real de la independencia de EE.UU con teorías conspirativas escalofriantes
Arte
Bryan Hitch ofrece su visión cinematográfica, dónde dirige secuencias de acción hipnotizantes y captura los detalles y tonos de cada época de antaño. Los colores crean la atmósfera perfecta que te transporta a principios del siglo XX.
Tiene un manejo de las escalas hipnotizante, transporta y te sacude con visiones realistas impactantes en un formato muy parecido al cinematográfico.
Resumen
Simón y Albert le dan el beneficio de la duda a Benedict, pero su cabeza está en la mira de la secta responsable de la inmortalidad

What does it come from?
Cheers, mate! Simon Pure here, the roguishly handsome immortal soldier whose amusing adventures you’ve no doubt been following. Alas, I cannot in good conscience tell you much about this chapter of my sordid past. Least of all before you spy issue #15’s surprise so spectacular…well, I’d best leave it at that
Plot
Albert Einstein is annoyed by Simon's gullibility regarding Benedict Arnold's promise to grant them and their families immortality.
Simon asks Albert to play along with Arnold, because even though he knows Arnold is manipulating them, there's a chance he might keep his word. If he truly wanted to kill them, he would have tried by now.
Benedict leads Simon and Albert to the hidden treasure of Paul Revere, an important precursor whose lack of ambition for power and his refusal to become a Founding Father aroused suspicion in everyone except George Washington, who offered him immortality. Revere is brutally murdered, and his diaries contain the ritual for immortality.
When Benedict obtains the diary, the room floods, and the Founding Fathers sect abducts him, while Simon rescues Albert.
This new arc continues to escalate the tension and mystery while blending the true history of American independence with chilling conspiracy theories.
Art
Bryan Hitch delivers his cinematic vision, directing mesmerizing action sequences and capturing the details and tones of each bygone era. The colors create the perfect atmosphere, transporting you to the early 20th century.
His mesmerizing use of scale transports and shakes you with striking, realistic visions in a format very close to cinematic.
Summary
Simon and Albert give Benedict the benefit of the doubt, but his head is in the crosshairs of the sect responsible for immortality.
