Plot
This installment shows how Orson becomes a hired assassin for his boss and mentor, Aaron Olds, who discovered Orson's infidelity to his wife, Eliza. Because his Mormon faith forbids such infidelity, Aaron forces Orson to kill to atone for his sins. Orson murders a key client of William's, Brayton Jennings, who works at the FDA, which failed to approve a new sugar substitute that causes cancer. Now William must resolve this by contacting Marty, one of his associates.
The van that crashes into William's house doesn't harm him, but it's an event that will trigger a series of situations that will complicate his life. This van was full of undocumented immigrants, whom Marty likes to hire. Marty is a perverted millionaire.
William's wife, Marnie, is considering killing him on the advice of a hater chat group on social media.

Created and written by Dan Houser, the series boasts a murderer’s row of crime fiction and comics talent including Lazlow (longtime Rockstar collaborator), who is producing and contributing additional writing to the series, illustration by Eisner Award-winning artist David Lapham (Stray Bullets, EC Epitaphs from the Abyss) with finishes by Chris Anderson (Creepshow, Lost Angels), colors by Lee Loughridge (Nemesis: Rogue’s Gallery, G.I. Joe), and lettered by Nate Piekos (Minor Threats, The Umbrella Academy: Plan B). Plot
The story introduces us to a community in Verona, Wyoming, USA, where one of its residents, lawyer William Hamilton, explains how his life is a misery due to his gambling addiction and decisions based on earning money working for a corrupt firm whose clients are detestable but wealthy individuals.
William's family is dysfunctional. His wife, Marnie, is a hateful woman who adheres to radical right-wing political ideals. His daughter, Arabella, is his complete political opposite, supporting the left. Meanwhile, his son, Brian, lives in a virtual world where he's convinced he can do anything without any real effort. The only thing they all have in common is their hatred and disrespect for their father, whom they see as a lukewarm person who doesn't take sides.
William has an accident that seems to change everything, but he doesn't fully explain it in this installment.
Next door to the Hamiltons lives a seemingly perfect and fully functional family. Their parents, Orson and Eliza, are Mormons; their house is pristine, and everything appears perfect. But Orson harbors a dark secret, adding to the sins of this detestable community. William is obsessed with his neighbor Eliza's beauty.
