Trama

A principios de 1950, tres amigos aman grabar películas caseras, en especial Delmont Reeves, quien ayudado por Oliver Ozawa y Junior Jackson, dejaban volar su imaginación, sin embargo están viviendo las consecuencias del la postguerra de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, donde los trataban mal y con el bullying fuera de control en pleno inicio de la Guerra Fría con Rusia, la violencia entre personas era elevada. Delmont perdio un ojo y por ser probre y de color debio pedir disculpas a su agresor.

En el cine todos ven la película educativa "Duck and Cover" que enseña cómo protegerse en caso de un ataque aéreo, pero nadie cree que esto sea posible.

Delmont, Oliver y Junior se ven envueltos en una riña, que trae como consecuencia que sean castigados con clases en el colegio en la  justamente en los días de clases, cuando suena la alarma de bomba atómica y es cuando todo cambia, empieza un ataque con armamento y naves futuristas liderado por Rusia. Los vehículos que usan parecen ser sacados de la Guerra de los Mundos de H.G Wells.

Ahora los sueños de todos se resumen a solo sobrevivir esta pesadilla inimaginable.

Este cómic logra transportarnos a esa década, captura esa intensidad y agresividad postguerra/Guerra Fría tan característica, donde en circunstancias historias familiares le agrega ciencia ficción cruda y distópica. La narrativa de Snyder es precisa, donde todos los detalles son clave, nada es de relleno.

Este primer cómic incluye varias páginas extras que muestran el arte paso a paso, así como el proceso de coloreado y diseño de los personajes.

Arte

Rafael Albuquerque presenta ese arte detallado donde las expresiones faciales son clave y lenguaje corporal que define y recalca la situación narrada por el guión, las anatomías destacan la corpulencia característica de los adolescentes de esa época. Es un trabajo artístico hipnotizante con colores que ofrecen a veces una atmósfera onírica.

Plot

In the early 1950s, three friends love to make home movies, especially Delmont Reeves, who, helped by Oliver Ozawa and Junior Jackson, let their imaginations run wild. However, they are living through the consequences of the post-war period of World War II, where they were treated badly and with bullying out of control at the beginning of the Cold War with Russia, violence between people was out of control. Delmont lost an eye and because he was poor and black, he had to apologize to his aggressor.

At the cinema, everyone watches the educational film "Duck and Cover" that teaches how to protect yourself in case of an air attack, but no one believes that this is possible.

Delmont, Oliver and Junior get involved in a fight, which results in them being on detention with at school, when the atomic bomb alarm sounds and that's when everything changes, an attack begins with futuristic weapons and ships led by Russia. The vehicles they use seem to be taken from H.G Wells' War of the Worlds.

Now everyone's dreams come down to just surviving this unimaginable nightmare.

This comic manages to transport us to that decade, capturing that intensity and post-war/Cold War aggression so characteristic, where in familiar story circumstances it adds raw and dystopian science fiction. Snyder's narrative is precise, where all the details are key, nothing is filler.

This first comic includes several extra pages showing the art step by step, as well as the coloring and character design process.

Art

Rafael Albuquerque presents that detailed art where facial expressions are key and body language that defines and emphasizes the situation narrated by the script, the anatomies highlight the corpulence characteristic of the teenagers of that time. It is a mesmerizing artistic work with colors that sometimes offer a dreamlike atmosphere.

Summary

A trio of teenagers want to excel and one of them wants to be a Hollywood director but the monster of war catches them in a surprising way with a technology ahead of its time.The Cold War from a dystopian vision full of terror and science fiction

Trama

El diseña una ropa inteligente que le permite modificarse a si gusto y el día que le funciona son atacados por unas personas vestidas de blanco y el perro mascota de la Dra Shea, la jefa del laboratorio, llamado Dédalo le explicó a Dudley que debe escapar.

La premisa es que Dédalo, el primer gran inventor de la historia creó una sociedad de inventores llamada CHYMICAL SOCIETY que viven cuidando que la humanidad continúe inventando, claro, estos inventores son inmortales y se disfrazan como mascotas. 

Dudley debe evitar que los Prometheans se roben un reloj con la clave de mi máquina de movimiento perpetuo.

Emocionante historia que mezcla ciencia ficción, mitología y comedia y se dirige a los amantes de las mascotas, pero su trama es algo compleja.

Es muy detallado y posee muchos colores brillantes que destacan el dinamismo de todas las secuencias.

Plot

Dudley is an inventor at Brooklyn Academy Engineering who wants to support his sick father, but something always happens that prevents him from focusing on his inventions.

He designs intelligent clothing that allows him to modify himself as he pleases and the day it works they are attacked by some people dressed in white and Dr. Shea's pet dog, the head of the laboratory, named Daedalus, explained to Dudley that he must escape.

The premise is that Daedalus, the first great inventor in history, created a society of inventors called CHYMICAL SOCIETY who live to ensure that humanity continues to invent, of course, these inventors are immortal and dress up like pets.

Dudley must stop the Prometheans from stealing a watch with the key to my perpetual motion machine.

Exciting story that mixes science fiction, mythology and comedy and is aimed at pet lovers, but its plot is somewhat complex.

Art

It is very detailed and has many bright colors that highlight the dynamism of all the sequences.

Dudley is about to meet a secret society of inventors who have always been close to us
