Excelente historia que mezcla terror, suspenso y acción en plena temporada navideña al mejor estilo de Hellboy.

El arte captura el tono de misterio y terror sobrenatural de Hellboy con secuencias de peleas intensas y mucha nieve. Hipnotizante.

What does it come from?

Plot and Art

Hellboy arrives in Iceland in 1990 to answer the call for help from a town that is being attacked by a monster they call Yule The Cat. This being in Icelandic folklore eats children who have not behaved well in the month. December, but this being is attacking randomly.

Hellboy succeeds and fights against him who transforms into several beings that are driven away by the power of Mjolnir that Hellboy still possesses as an echo, which is activated in these lands. (Read HELLBOY: THE BONE OF GIANTS).

This adventure reveals that Hellboy is still in the sights of Nordic beings who predict his fall in the lands of Iceland. These beings disguise themselves as birds that see everything from above.

Excellent story that mixes horror, suspense and action in the middle of the Christmas season in the best Hellboy style.

The art captures Hellboy's tone of mystery and supernatural horror with intense fight sequences and lots of snow. Mesmerizing.

La tradición navideña de Hellboy continúa con HELLBOY WINTER SPECIAL: THE YULE CAT

 

La temporada navideña está llena de tradiciones preciadas: reuniones con familiares y amigos, intercambio de regalos y, para los lectores más exigentes, la publicación del Hellboy Winter Special anual. 

Este año, antes del solsticio de invierno, Dark Horse Comics publicará el one-shot HELLBOY WINTER SPECIAL: THE YULE CAT, escrito e ilustrado por el creador de Barbarian Lord y aclamado dibujante Matt Smith, coloreado por Chris O'Halloran, con letras de Clem Robins y editado por Katii O'Brien y presenta una portada variante del legendario creador de Hellboy, Mike Mignola. This year, ahead of the winter solstice, Dark Horse Comics will publish the Hellboy Winter Special: The Yule Cat one-shot, written and illustrated by Barbarian Lord creator and acclaimed cartoonist Matt Smith, colored by Chris O’Halloran, lettered by Clem Robins, and featuring a variant cover by legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. The special one-shot is inspired by the stories of Jólakötturinn, the ferocious Yule Cat of Icelandic folklore, who is said to come down from the mountains, on the prowl for people who have not received any new clothes to wear before Christmas Eve. “The land of fire and ice, trolls and necropants, Iceland is as natural a setting for a Hellboy story as any I could think of,” said Matt Smith. “Set in 1990 and coming close to the events of the Hellboy: Bones of Giants, Hellboy likely hasn't forgotten about the wrath of old Norse giants.
