Trama

La banda NIGHT SHIFT está disparando contra Perry, Sommersby e Yvonne con balas de madera que elimina a los vampiros rápidamente pero la piel del hombre lobo si la resiste. Sommersby no sobrevive pero Perry proteger a Yvonne.

El NIGHT SHIFT es un grupo numeroso y Perry está acorralado hasta que es salvado por su excompañero Clyde, quien está buscando recuperar la confianza de su amigo. Pero el giro inesperado es cuando aparece Inéz de Soto, la encargada de Asuntos Internos que le dio pistas a Perry, y le dispara con balas de plata y madera y pica a la mitad a Clyde.

Inez es la que lleva años manejando las mafias corruptas de la policía y necesitaba ese diario de Ramses Ra para chantajearlo, sin embargo Cylde salva de nuevo el día y Perry hace un trato con ella para que los deje en paz.

Ramses Ra recibe el diario y Perry le dice que Yvonne escapó.

Perry busca a su primer cliente en este caso Albert Ross y lo lleva con Yvonne, este anciano lo que quería es matarla por ser vampira, Perry la salva y bota a Albert del lugar. Yvonne se le insinúa a Perry pero es parte de su encanto de Femme Fatale, Perry la rechaza porque Rosie es la mujer de su vida.

El cómic cierra con la primera cita de Rosie y Perry, mientras Ramsés Ra le pide a Perry que consiga el paradero de sus secuaces de Night Shift que Clyde y Perry eliminaron.

Todo sigue narrado en la fórmula detectivesca noir, un misterio, una conspiracion, policias corruptos, una femme fatale y un héroe caído buscando la redención, lo brillante de esta reimaginación es que ocurre en medio de la anormalidad de una ciudad llena de monstruos.

Plot

The NIGHT SHIFT gang is shooting at Perry, Sommersby, and Yvonne with wooden bullets. The bullets quickly kill vampires, but the werewolf hide resists them. Sommersby doesn't survive, but Perry protects Yvonne.

The NIGHT SHIFT is a large group, and Perry is cornered until he's saved by his former teammate, Clyde, who's trying to regain his friend's trust. But the unexpected twist comes when Inez de Soto, the Internal Affairs officer who gave Perry the clues, appears and shoots him with silver and wooden bullets, cutting Clyde in half.

Inez, who has been running corrupt police mafias for years, needed Ramses Ra's diary to blackmail him. However, Clyde saves the day again, and Perry makes a deal with her to leave them alone.

Ramses Ra receives the diary, and Perry tells him that Yvonne escaped.

Perry seeks out his first client in this case, Albert Ross, and takes him to Yvonne. This old man wanted to kill her for being a vampire. Perry saves her and kicks Albert out. Yvonne makes a pass at Perry, but it's part of her femme fatale charm. Perry rejects her because Rosie is the woman of his dreams.

The comic closes with Rosie and Perry's first date, while Ramses Ra asks Perry to find the whereabouts of his Night Shift henchmen, whom Clyde and Perry eliminated.

Everything continues to be told in the detective noir style: a mystery, a conspiracy, corrupt cops, a femme fatale, and a fallen hero seeking redemption. The brilliance of this reimagining is that it takes place amidst the abnormality of a city full of monsters.

A good conclusion to a captivating story.

It's highly detailed, with textures that highlight the vintage tone of pulp comics, whose most popular themes were noir detectives and monsters. The art takes you back in time to the 1950s.

Trama

Perry Cutter sintió la esencia de un ex policía llamado Anton Sommersby, que es también vampiro, cuando fue atacado por los Blood Boys, por lo que investiga a este ex policía con la agente de Asuntos Internos. Lo que le extraña a Perry es que este grupo de vampiros formaban parte de la banda NIGHT SHIFT de la policía y eran corruptos y sus comentarios hacia Perry dieron a entender que él era también corrupto, es cuando Perry tiene una epifanía, su ex compañero Clyde era corrupto y Perry no lo sabia, por eso ambos fueron expulsados de la policía.

Perry confronta a Clyde y decepcionado no sabe si perdonarlo.

Sommersby sale de su casa y Perry lo sigue, cancelando asi su cita con Rosie. Perry aborta a Sommersby y aparece Yvonne Veil. Sommersby explica la importancia del diario de Ramsés Ra que incluye rutas de distribución criminal. Yvonne al parecer se había escapado con Sommersby de ser la novia de Ramsés Ra y se llevó el libro para protegerse.

A la casa llegan los policías de la Guardia Nocturna, que son ahora un grupo criminal, ellos vienen a asesinar a Sommersby y a buscar a Yvonne por órdenes de Ramsés Ra, ellos vienen con cruces y armas para matar a ambos vampiros, pero no saben que hay un hombre lobo esta esperandolos.

Plot

Perry Cutter sensed the essence of a former police officer named Anton Sommersby, who is also a vampire, when he was attacked by the Blood Boys, so he investigates this ex-cop with the Internal Affairs agent. What surprises Perry is that this group of vampires were part of the police force's NIGHT SHIFT gang and were corrupt, and their comments toward Perry suggested that he was also corrupt. This is when Perry has an epiphany: his former partner Clyde was corrupt, and Perry didn't know it, which is why they were both expelled from the force.

Perry confronts Clyde and, disappointed, doesn't know whether to forgive him.

Sommersby leaves his house, and Perry follows him, canceling his date with Rosie. Perry aborts Sommersby, and Yvonne Veil appears. Sommersby explains the importance of Ramses Ra's diary, which includes criminal distribution routes. Yvonne apparently ran away with Sommersby from being Ramses Ra's girlfriend and took the book with her for protection.

The Night's Watch, now a criminal group, arrive at the house to assassinate Sommersby and search for Yvonne on the orders of Ramses Ra. They come with crosses and weapons to kill both vampires, but they don't know there's a werewolf waiting for them.

Trama

Perry Cutter se entrevista con el mafioso/momia RAMSES RA en su casino, quien le dice que tambien tiene a Yvonne Veil en sus recuerdos, que todavía siente algo por ella pero que ella desapareció con un diario importante para el. Ramses le ofrece a Perry una bonificación si consigue ses diario.

Toda esta investigación le ha traído nostalgia a Perry, quien visita a su antiguo compañero policía, Clyde, que es una especie de frankestein, ambos tiene una charla amena, pero Clyde parece evitar a Perry.

Perry le pide a Rosie consejo en el caso y ella revela que tiene más de 140 años y le ofrece una visión de la situación desde el punto de vista de una vampira.

Perry se dirige a su informante Dewey cuando es atacado por el BLOOD GANG, un grupo de vampiros criminales, Perry se convierte en hombre lobo y escapa, se dio cuenta que es perseguido por el vampiro Sommersby. El caso se empieza a complicar con solo nombrar a Yvonne Veil.

Plot

Perry Cutter meets with the mobster/mummy RAMSES RA in his casino, who tells him that he also has Yvonne Veil in his memories, that he still has feelings for her but that she disappeared with a diary that was important to him. Ramses offers Perry a bonus if he gets daily ses.

All this investigation has brought nostalgia to Perry, who visits his old police partner, Clyde, who is a kind of Frankenstein, the two have a nice chat, but Clyde seems to avoid Perry.

Perry asks Rosie for advice on the case and she reveals that she is over 140 years old and offers him a view of the situation from a vampire's point of view.

Perry heads to his informant Dewey when he is attacked by the BLOOD GANG, a group of criminal vampires. Perry turns into a werewolf and escapes, realizing that he is being pursued by the vampire Sommersby. The case begins to complicate just by naming Yvonne Veil. 

Everything is still narrated in the noir detective formula.

La historia transcurre en la década de 1950 y el lugar es una ciudad estadounidense muy singular. Los Monstruos está repleta de monstruos clásicos del cine y el folclore: vampiros, hombres-monstruo, hombres lobo, momias y muchas otras criaturas fantásticas. Perry Cutter, investigador privado hombre lobo, acaba de frustrar el secuestro de un hombre branquial cuando otro caso cae en sus manos. El caso: encontrar a una vampiresa desaparecida, parece bastante sencillo, hasta que Perry se da cuenta de que debe caminar por el filo de la navaja entre Ramsés, el jefe mafioso y dueño de un casino piramidal, y el duro equipo de policías vampiros conocido como el Turno de Noche. Trama

Comienza con una emocionante persecución del detective privado Perry Cutter a un monstruo de la laguna que lleva a un murciélago en un jaula, Perry no lo alcanza es cuando decide convertirse en Hombre Lobo y lo atrapa liberando al murciélago, que era un vampiro niño que fue secuestrado.

Perry nos presenta a la ciudad LOS MONSTRUOS, una versión alterna de la ciudad de las Vegas en la década de 1950, que se convirtió en un refugio para los monstruos quienes viven como una sociedad típica, con mucha diversidad.

El cómic es narrado como el género de novelas de detectives Noir, que sumando a la estética de la década de 1950 donde se desarrolla (la era dorada de las película de monstruos) deconstruye este género de una manera brillante y lo mezcla con el terror sobrenatural. Hasta las recreaciones de las visitas del detective a un restaurante con una mesera del que está enamorada (en este caso se llama Rosie y es Vampira) se sienten clásicas y frascas al mismo tiempo.

Perry tiene la típica historia de ser un oficial caído en desgracia por un malentendido en el escuadrón de policía, profesión que ama pero ahora ejerce lo más parecido que la ley permite, ser detective. 

Los humanos no están permitidos acceder a Los Monstruos, las fronteras de esta ciudad están fuertemente custodiadas, ya que el gobierno de EE.UU está en deuda por la labor de estos seres al Presidente Roosevelt. Pero con dinero, todo es posible, así es como Perry es visitado por Albert Ross, un septuagenario que le pide que ubiquen a un amor de su pasado llamado Yvonne Veil, quien se convirtió en vampira y se mudó a esta ciudad y Albert nunca más vio.

Perry tiene sus contactos en la comisaría de la ciudad y Donny Mangold (mitad hombre mitad mosca) le da una pista de quién puede conocer esta mujer, Ramses Ra, pero Perry está siendo vigilado.

Plot

It begins with a thrilling chase by private detective Perry Cutter for a lagoon monster carrying a bat in a cage. Perry fails to catch it, but he decides to become a werewolf and catches it, freeing the bat, tha is a kidnapped child vampire.

Perry introduces us to the city of Monsters, an alternate version of Las Vegas in the 1950s, which became a haven for monsters who live like a typical, diverse society.

The comic is narrated as a noir detective novel, which, in addition to the aesthetics of the 1950s where it is set (the golden age of monster movies), brilliantly deconstructs this genre and blends it with supernatural horror. Even the recreations of the detective's visits to a restaurant with a waitress he's in love with (in this case, her name is Rosie, and she's a vampire) feel classic and quirky at the same time.

Perry has the typical story of being an officer disgraced by a misunderstanding within the police force, a profession he loves, but now he practices the closest thing the law allows: being a detective.

Humans are not allowed access to The Monsters; the city's borders are heavily guarded, as the US government owes President Roosevelt for their work. But with money, anything is possible. That's how Perry is visited by Albert Ross, a septuagenarian who asks him to locate a love from his past named Yvonne Veil, who became a vampire and moved to this city, whom Albert never saw again.

Perry has his contacts at the city police station, and Donny Mangold (half-man, half-fly) gives him a lead on who this woman, Ramses Ra, might know, but Perry is being watched.
