This installment shows constant flashbacks and flashforwards between 1978 and 1985.
In 1985, Mike tries to convince Lucas and Dustin to decline Eddie's invitation to join the Hellfire Club and play Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Mike argues that the game ended when Will moved away from Hawkins, because they all played one last game, bringing closure to all their characters' stories.
But Eddie has a lot of experience saying goodbye to friends, and in just a year, he managed to form a close-knit D&D gaming group, with some of whom he even formed a rock band, all of whom have since left Hawkins.
Eddie's memory sequences illustrate in detail those epic battles they played in a living room.
Eddie responds to Mike with another argument: that D&D is a dynamic game that must always evolve, and this is achieved with new members and new teams. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas agree to a single game to try out.
An excellent backup story from Stranger Things season four, where we met the coolest, most heroic, and endearing character of all the seasons, Eddie Munson. This comic will be perfect for a proper goodbye to Eddie and his always positive spirit, with a lot of nostalgia.
