Trama
MPH (Millas por Hora) es la miniserie de cinco partes escrita por Mark Millar e ilustrada por Duncan Fregedo (Hellboy) que narra la historia de un joven de la ciudad de Detroit-EE.UU (que actualmente sufre serios problemas económicos) que adquiere el poder de la super-velocidad, con la ayuda de un fármaco experimental (llamado MPH), de manera que de un día para otro va de tener nada a poder tener todo, lo que desconoce es que esta droga ya había sido probada antes con un misterioso sobreviviente, quien está atrapado en una prisión especial de máxima seguridad solo para el.
El problema empieza cuando este joven recluta a sus mejores amigos y roban bancos dándose una vida de reyes, claro está, esos bancos o empresas son las responsables de las desgracias económicas de la ciudad de Detroit, una especie de Robin Hood moderno, y el equipo no está del todo acoplado en sus ambiciones, generando fricciones entre ellos.
La historia es rápida y muy entretenida, no podrás despegarte hasta terminar, querrás tener una pastilla de MPH para leerla en segundos.
Este libro es del género independiente creator owned (los creadores son los dueños de los derechos intelectuales) y forma parte de una serie de libros de la editorial Millarworld (El Mundo de Millar), y al igual que cómics como Kick-Ass, Wanted y The Secret Service, pronto recibirá su versión fílmica.

Arte
El arte de Fregedo es el adecuado, aunque está un poco fuera de su zona de confort, sus escenas en cámara lenta te hace ver de manera diferente la super-velocidad, su dedicación a los detalles es hipnotizante, es posiblemente uno de sus mejores obras de arte.

Plot
MPH (Miles Per Hour) is a five-part miniseries written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Duncan Fregedo (Hellboy) that tells the story of a young man from Detroit, USA (currently suffering from serious financial problems) who acquires the power of super-speed with the help of an experimental drug (called MPH). Overnight, he goes from having nothing to having everything. What he doesn't know is that this drug was previously tested on a mysterious survivor, who is trapped in a special maximum-security prison just for him.
The trouble begins when this young man recruits his best friends and they rob banks, living like kings. Of course, these banks or companies are responsible for the city's economic woes. He's a kind of modern-day Robin Hood, and the team isn't entirely aligned in their ambitions, creating friction among them.
The story is fast-paced and highly entertaining; you won't be able to put it down until you finish it. You'll wish you had an MPH pill so you could read it in seconds.
This book is in the creator-owned genre (the creators own the intellectual property rights) and is part of a series of books from Millarworld Publishing. Like comics such as Kick-Ass, Wanted, and The Secret Service, it will soon be adapted into a film.

Art
Fregedo's art is fitting, although it's a bit outside his comfort zone. His slow-motion scenes make you see super-speed in a different light, and his attention to detail is mesmerizing. It's possibly one of his best works.
Duncan Fregedo posted this never-before-seen image on his official Twitter account to wish @Dave_DSG a happy birthday. This scene shows the mysterious first Speedster meeting his possible end.
