Trama

Este cómic narra los años 18 y 19 antes del fatídico día donde casi los mutantes fueron exterminados. 

Luego de la muerte de Jean Grey tratando de detener a Magneto, los X-men están quebrados moralmente y Magneto los visita para pedirles perdón, pero no se une a la cruzada de Xavier. Cyclops perdió los ojos en esa explosion y ni siquiera puede llorar.

Peter Gyrich crea los centros de relocalización de mutantes, que son campos de concentración disfrazados y como Xavier no se rinde lanza un ataque de Sentinels cruel que acaba con la vida del Profesor X.

Es importante acotar que el General Ross se negó a hacer este ataque por considerarlo anticonstitucional, por eso lo retiran de su cargo.

Esta historia cierra con la boda de Coloso y Kitty, quienes en algún momento serán claves para el viaje en el tiempo de Bishop.

Doloroso segundo capítulo.

Es magnífico, lleno de detalles, donde captura con éxito las diferentes eras de los cómics de X-men, es definitivamente una obra de lectura obligada.

PLOT

This comic narrates the years 18 and 19 before the fateful day where the mutants were almost exterminated.

After the death of Jean Gray trying to stop Magneto, the X-men are morally bankrupt and Magneto visits them to ask for their forgiveness, but does not join Xavier's crusade. Cyclops lost his eyes in that explosion and he can't even cry.

Peter Gyrich creates the mutant relocation centers, which are disguised concentration camps and as Xavier does not surrender, he launches a cruel Sentinel attack that ends the life of Professor X.

It is important to note that General Ross refused to make this attack because he considered it unconstitutional, which is why he was removed from office.

This story closes with the wedding of Colossus and Kitty, who at some point will be key to Bishop's time travel.

Painful and moving second chapter.

It's gorgeous, full of detail, successfully capturing the different eras of the X-men comics, it's definitely a must read.

Trama

Este comic se narra de manera cronologica todos los acontecimientos que dieron orige a este universo alterno distopico, desde el asesinato del Senador Kelly, pasando por todos los sucesos creadors por los que odian a los muntantes para poder tomar el control del pais.

De manera inteligente introducen la tragedia de Stanford de Civil War como un evento canónico e inmodificable pero que en este caso alimenta el odio a los Mutantes.

Este cómic llega hasta el momento en que Jean Grey, Cyclops y Shadow Cat fallan en detener una explosión nuclear gracias a las acciones de Magneto.

Impactante primer capítulo que les romperá el corazón más de una vez y aunque se conoce el desenlace, posee revelaciones importantes.

“Growing up, I never thought I’d get the chance to write the X-Men as many times as I have. I particularly never thought I’d be able to play around in the amazing timeline that Chris Claremont and John Byrne brought to life in Days of Future Past,” Guggenheim shared. “I still have the most vivid memory of visiting the stationery store where I used to buy my comics and seeing Uncanny X-Men #141 on the rack. That iconic cover blew my nine year-old mind.

 

“My goal with this story is to fill in some missing gaps in the thirty-year period that Kate Pryde summarized in just four panels back in the day. Prior familiarity with the original story won’t be required. The end result is an event that feels like the X-Men story to end all X-Men stories. At least, that’s the bullseye we’re aiming at!”
