What does it come from?
In Daddy Daughter Day, Belle wakes up determined to create a special day for herself and her father. The day of her father and daughter triggers a series of adventures that turn the house and the backyard into a clay workshop, a beauty salon and a circus.
What's going on?
Belle instructs her father to celebrate Father and Daughter Day, making it very clear to her little brother Sammy that the celebration is just dads with his daughters.
The book narrates these various celebration activities that end up including the whole family, it is undoubtedly a very personal book with which it is very easy to identify if you are a father or a daughter, especially with the games that Belle chooses, they will seem very familiar to you.
Art and Plot
Jeff Bridges offers a subtle, light art that gives the feeling that you are floating through the cute and funny story of Isabelle Bridges-Boesch. Even the calligraphy used provides a sense of peace. A children's book should educate and entertain in the simplest and most direct way, Daddy Daughter Day achieves all these perfectly.
