Joe Hardy ha estado toda la vida enamorado de Nancy Drew por lo que su muerte le causa una profunda tristeza, por lo que se obsesiona por descubrir qué pasó.

Nancy había llevado a la cárcel al grupo criminales el Sindicato y estaba segura que no había atrapado a todos sus integrantes, Joe sabía de esto y se dedica a investigar la rutina de Nancy y a sus amigos más cercanos para conseguir alguna pista.

La historia es sumamente interesante, seas fanático o no de los libros, con el arte del legendario Joe Eisma que logran una atmósfera de misterio para adultos y con un final impactante.

Resumen

La muerte de Nancy Drew despierta la curiosidad de uno de sus mejores amigos que sin duda va a toparse con una conspiración.

What's going on?

Joe Hardy has been in love with Nancy Drew all his life, so his death causes him deep sadness, so he is obsessed with finding out what happened.

Nancy had taken the Syndicate criminal group to jail and was sure she had not caught all of their members, Joe knew of this and is dedicated to investigating the routine of Nancy and her closest friends to get any leads.

The story is extremely interesting, whether you are a fan of books or not, with the art of the legendary Joe Eisma achieving an atmosphere of mystery for adults and with a shocking ending.

Summary

Nancy Drew's death sparks the curiosity of one of her best friends who is bound to stumble upon a conspiracy.

En este mundo los súper héroes son vistos como seres perfectos cuyas aventuras son narradas en los cómics, pero en realidad están corrompidos por tanto poder, el detalle es que están apoyados por corporaciones y por los medios de comunicación..

Este año este cómic tendrá su Segunda temporada por Amazon Prime producida por Seth Rogen.

¿De qué viene?

Este cómic narra la historia de los personajes de The Boys, una de sus misiones, es una historia no contada del pasado de este equipo. Esto ocurre luego de acabar la saga completa.

The Boys lo conforman, Buther (líder), Hughie, Mother´s Milk, The Frenchman y The Female, todos son personajes rudos, que atacan sin piedad y poseen habilidades extras por la Substancia V, ellos de alguna manera está resentidos por algún hecho en su pasado generado por los Super héroes.

¿Qué sucede?

Huggie recibe un diario donde the Butcher narra cómo torturan a un niño.

Posee secuencias muy crudas, mientras se desconoce la razón de esta situación.

Esta historia promete mantener la narrativa y el arte que ha definido a esta serie (cuya adaptación en Amazon Prime es un hit). .

Resumen

La irreverencia, acción y lo políticamente correcto regresa con un misterio.

The Boys is an elite government attack group (black ops), aimed at arresting and investigating wrongdoing superheroes. In this world super heroes are seen as perfect beings whose adventures are narrated in comics, but in reality they are corrupted by so much power, the detail is that they are supported by corporations and the media.

This year this comic will have its second season on Amazon Prime produced by Seth Rogen.

What does it come from?

This comic tells the story of the characters in The Boys, one of their missions, it is an untold story from the past of this team. This occurs after finishing the complete saga.

The Boys are: Buther (leader), Hughie, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman and The Female, they are all rude characters, who attack mercilessly and possess extra abilities by Substance V, and they all hate superheroes.

What's going on?

Huggie receives a diary where the Butcher narrates how they torture a child.

It has very crude sequences, while the reason why is unknown.

This story promises to maintain the narrative and art that has defined this series (whose adaptation in Amazon Prime is a hit). 

Summary

Irreverence, action and the politically correct returns with a mystery.

Vengeance of Vampirella debutó originalmente en 1994, con una mirada más salvaje de la Hija de Drakulon. Ahora, para el 50 aniversario de Vampirella, el escritor original de la serie Tom Sniegoski está de regreso con el arte de Michael Sta. Maria.

Vengeance of Vampirella originally debuted in 1994, with a wilder look from the Daughter of Drakulon. Now for Vampirella's 50th anniversary, original series writer Tom Sniegoski is back with the art of Michael Sta. Maria.

What does it come from?

This series occurs 25 years in the future in a world devastated by Nyx who killed Vampirella, Pendragon resurrects Vampirella to end Nyx's world tyranny.

What's going on?

Vampirella and Pendragon are on the hunt for the power to defeat Nyx.

Nyx is seeking support from other beings to face Vampirella.

The story has several sequences of action, blood and strange beings.

Summary

Little missing for the battle between Nyx and Vampirella, the art is impressive although the plot is somewhat slow.

La nueva editorial de cómics Artists, Writers & Artisans viene con mucha fuerza y con varias series por equipos creativos legendarios en la industria del cómic, integrada por Axel Alonso (Ex Editor en Jefe de Marvel Comics) y Bill Jemas (Ex Vice Presidente de Marvel Comics), quienes fungen como CCO y Editor respectivamente.

¿De qué viene?

Benjamin Percy (Year Zero, Wolverine) y Brent Schoonover (Batman ‘66) presentan un thriller psicológico que examina una serie de asesinatos en el  corazón rural de Estados Unidos. Una joven con un oscuro secreto familiar se embarca en una búsqueda para cazar al asesino en serie que mató brutalmente a su padre, solo para descubrir que él es solo una pieza de una red nacional del maldad que serpentea en todo el país y se esconde a plena vista. Para atrapar al diablo, primero debes conectarte con tu oscuridad interior.

¿Qué sucede?

El cómic comienza en un restaurante llamado County Side en Drift County Wisconsin, un pueblo que sirve de hospedaje a camioneros con su encargo. Esto sucede en vísperas de Navidad, cuando el encargado del restaurante, Joe se encuentra a una mujer desesperada que le pide ayuda, ya que la perseguía alguien nefasto.

Tres días después aparece Sharon la hija de Joe, quien lo iba a visitar en navidad, dispuesta a averiguar quien es el responsable de la muerte de su padre, Sharon es una persona temida en el pueblo, legendaria por su rudeza física, tanto así que logro que la policía le entregara el informe del asesinato de su padre.

Ella empieza a unir cabos y demuestra que tiene cualidades de detective, sin embargo hay alguien que le esta siguiendo el rastro. 

En el pecho de su padre tiene un símbolo tallado en su pecho, que se conecta con otros homicidios, es Oroboros, una serpiente que se come su propia cola.

 

Esta historia está llena de suspenso y se siente muy real, porque sin duda alguna un conductor de camiones es el asesino en serie mas eficiente, siempre está en movimiento y nadie lo conoce.

Arte y Trama
El arte de Schoonover resalta la intensa y macabra historia de Percy que impacta pagina a pagina con una primera entrega con un ritmo muy dinámico.

Resumen

Sharon busca el culpable de la muerte de su padre demostrando habilidades de detective, esta historia comienza con un buen ritmo y promete mucho suspenso.

A young woman with a dark family secret embarks on a quest to hunt down the serial killer that brutally murdered her father – only to discover he is just one piece of a national network of evil that snakes across the country and hides in plain sight. To catch the devil she must first embrace the darkness within.

What's going on?

The comic begins at a restaurant called County Side in Drift County Wisconsin, a town that serves truckers on their route. This happens on the eve of Christmas, when the manager of the restaurant, Joe, finds a desperate woman who asks him for help, since someone bad was chasing her. Three days later Joe's daughter Sharon appears, who was going to visit him at Christmas, ready to find out who is responsible for the death of his father, Sharon is a feared person in town, legendary for his physical rudeness, so much so that she managed to get the police give her the report of his father's murder.

She begins to join the dots and shows that she has the qualities of a detective, however there is someone who is following her trail.

On her father's chest she has a carved symbol on her chest, which connects to other homicides, it is Oroboros, a snake that eats its own tail.

 

This story is full of suspense and feels very real, because without a doubt a truck driver is the most efficient serial killer, he is always on the go and nobody knows him.

Art and plot.

Schoonover's art highlights the intense and macabre story of Percy that impacts page by page with a first issue with a very dynamic rhythm.

Summary

Sharon searches for the culprit in her father's death by demonstrating detective skills, this story begins with a good rhythm and promises much suspense.

Esta secuela del cómic de culto American Jesus The Chosen del año 2004 narra la historia de un niño de doce años que de repente descubre que es Jesucristo reencarnado. Él puede convertir el agua en vino, hacer que los tullidos caminen y quizás resucitar a los muertos. Aquí pueden leer completo el primer número gratis de American Jesus.

Este cómic es el sexto proyecto de Millarworld/Netflix luego de la compra de la editorial Millarworld por el gigante del streaming Netflix.  Será una serie multilingüe (español / inglés), de la mano de Everardo Gout (Marvel's Luke Cage, Sacred Lies, Mars, Banshee, Aquí En La Tierra) y Leopoldo Gout (Molly's Game, Instinct)  quienes actuarán como co-directores y productores ejecutivos en la serie. 

Es un honor y orgullo mostrarles que la editora Rachael Fulton citó parte de mi reseña y la colocó en la contraportada de esta novela gráfica.

¿De qué viene?

Esta historia comienza en el año 1974 en Harlem, New York, EE.UU, donde una adolescente llamada Luciana Cortez, que tiene un sueño misterioso relacionado a la muerte de Jesucristo que se lo explica un misterioso señor con traje blanco.

Luego Luciana descubre que esta embarazada, pero nunca había tenido relaciones, solo tenia un novio Eddie, una relación inocente, apenas se conocen y disfrutan películas como Young Frankenstein, hitos de la época. El cómic construye muy bien la cultura de esa década de 1970 y 1980.

¿Qué sucede?

Todo toma un giro cuando Luciana tiene 8 semanas de embarazo..nadie le cree que es virgen, solamente le cree Eddie. En este caso lo que optó la familia de Luciana es llevarla a una clínica de aborto..pero algo extraño y poderoso ocurre que evita ese aborto. Esta escena es espeluznante.

Luciana se convence que está embarazada del hijo de Dios en pleno siglo XX, que el mundo está gobernado por el Anticristo con 13 familias satánicas con mucho poder político y económico, ella corre mucho peligro y escapa a Texas con Eddie donde son recibidos como reyes por el líder religioso Ezequiel.

La historia luego da un salto a 1992, donde Luciana ya dio a luz a la ...hija de Dios, Jesucristo encarna en una niña llamada Catalina. De descendia latina y de color, sin duda un cambio étnico contemporáneo. 

Catalina está cansada de que la idolatren y mantengan aislada del mundo, tratando de mantenerla fuera del radar del matón de satanas Joe Allerdyce (quien aparece también en The Chosen), ella no cree en nada de que es el mesías y al cumplir 18 se escapa y conoce a un cantante de Rock, en este momento la empiezan a rastrear.

Luciana decide que debe buscar a su hija sola, que es la enviada por el Ángel Gabriel, deja atrás a Eddie y Ezequiel, esta advertencia es porque ya Joe Allerdyce los tiene localizados. Aunque para esta entrega ya esperamos qué es lo que va a pasar, lo que acontece es ÉPICO, no podrán dejar de pasar las páginas.

Este cómic refresca la mitología cristiana con un análisis honesto teológico desde varias visiones, no ofrece una cátedra de teología con un solo punto de vista, ni tampoco critica esta religión, es honesto,concreto y abierto.

El Libro 3 saldrá pronto, que es la pelea por la humanidad entre Catalina y Jodie.

Arte 
El regreso de este equipo creativo de Millar y Gross es espectacular, logran traer de nuevo esa magia que comenzó en el año 2004 y deja claro en qué época ocurre The Chosen, ya que en teoría el mesías y el hijo de satanás son casi contemporáneos.

Resumen

La segunda llegada del hijo de Dios es narrada de una manera fresca, original y contemporánea, donde Catalina

CEO Millarworld: Lucy Millar

This is the sequel of the cult comic American Jesus The Chosen in 2004 (Here you can read the first issue of American Jesus The Chosen).

American Jesus The New Messiah is the sixth Millarworld / Netflix project after the purchase of the Millarworld publishing house by the streaming giant Netflix. It will be a multilingual series (Spanish / English), by Everardo Gout (Marvel's Luke Cage, Sacred Lies, Mars, Banshee, Here On Earth) and Leopoldo Gout (Molly's Game, Instinct) who will act as co-directors and producers executives in the series. Everardo Gout will also direct the series.

Where does it comes from?

This story begins in 1974 in Harlem, New York, USA, where a teenager named Luciana Cortez, who has a mysterious dream related to the death of Jesus Christ, explained to her by a mysterious man in a white suit.

Then Luciana discovers that she is pregnant, but she had never had relationships, she only had a boyfriend called Eddie, an innocent relationship, they hardly know each other and enjoy movies like Young Frankenstein, milestones of the time. The comic recreates the culture of that 1970s and 1980s very well.

What's going on?

Everything takes a turn when Luciana is 8 weeks pregnant ... nobody believes her to be a virgin, only Eddie believes her. In this case, Luciana's family chose to take her to an abortion clinic ... but something strange and powerful happens that prevents that abortion. This scene is creepy.

Luciana convinces herself that she is pregnant with the son of God in the 20th century, that the world is ruled by the Antichrist with 13 satanic families with great political and economic power, she is in great danger and escapes to Texas with Eddie where they are received as royalty by the religious leader Ezekiel.

The story then jumps to 1992, where Luciana already gave birth to the ... daughter of God, Jesus Christ incarnates in a girl named Catherine. Of Latin descent, without a doubt a contemporary ethnic change.

Catalina is tired of being idolized and kept isolated from the world, trying to keep her off the radar of satan thug Joe Allerdyce (who also appears in The Chosen), she does not believe in anything that she is the messiah because she doesn't have any powers, when she turns 18 she escapes and she meets a rock singer.

Luciana decides that she must search for her daughter alone, who is the one sent by the Angel Gabriel, leaving Eddie and Ezequiel behind, this warning is because Joe Allerdyce has already located them. Although for this installment we are already waiting for what is going to happen, what happens is EPIC, you will not be able to stop turning the pages.

This comic refreshes Christian mythology with an honest theological analysis from various perspectives, it does not offer a theology masterclass with a single point of view, nor does it criticize this religion, it is honest, concrete and open.

Book 3 will be out soon, which is the fight for humanity between Catalina and Jodie.

Art 

The return of this creative team of Millar and Gross is spectacular, they manage to bring back that magic that began in 2004 and makes clear at what time The Chosen occurs, since in theory the messiah and the son of satan are almost contemporary.

The second arrival of the son of God is narrated in a fresh, original and contemporary way, where Catalina
