Si bien Mark Waid ya había trabajado con la primera familia de superhéroes de Marvel en el año 2002, FANTASTIC FOUR: ANTITESIS, será la primera historia completa de los Cuatro Fantásticos ilustrada por Neal Adams. 

¿De qué viene?

En FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS #3 los Cuatro Fantásticos, Silver Surfer y Galan logran detener y neutralizar a la Antithesis y cuando iban a retornar los poderes de Galactus a Galan, Reed los absorbió y se transformo en el nuevo Galactus!

Este es el último capitulo.

¿Qué sucede?

Reed Richards asume el manto de Galactus y hace creer que es para poder tener el mayor intelecto de la Galaxia, tener mas respuestas que preguntas ya que lleva tiempo sintiendo que sus capacidades intelectuales están mermando.

Pero todo este plan de Mr Fantastic, era para eliminar de una vez por todas la amenaza de Galactus, Richards no va a sucumbir en su apetito y va a morir de hambre y así acabar con este legado de destrucción del Devora Planetas.

Los Cuatro Fantásticos son devueltos a la Tierra y empiezan a buscar la manera, pero no tienen el conocimiento científico para lograrlo, por lo que Ben se le ocurre que la magia es la única opción, Agatha es la niñera de Val y Franklin, que posee poderes mágicos y con l ayuda de Silver Surfer logran contactar a Mr Galactus.

Sue Storm le explica la supuesta decadencia de la capacidad mental de Reed, es simplemente que esta distraído por tener dos hijos que generan una inmensa cantidad de variables en su vida. Esta es una tierna explicación, llena de amor y realidad.

Este cómic tiene un final brillante.

Cada pagina de este cómic es un deleite visual y narrativo, Waid y Adams son un equipo creativo soñado.

Resumen

El altruismo de Mr Fantastic no es la única solución, así conoceremos a la mejor versión de Galactus.

Where does it come from?

In FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS # 3 the Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and Galan manage to stop and neutralize the Antithesis and when they were going to return the powers of Galactus to Galan, Reed absorbed them and transformed into the new Galactus!

This is the last chapter.

What's going on?

Reed Richards assumes the mantle of Galactus and makes believe that it is to be able to have the greatest intellect in the Galaxy, to have more answers than questions since he has been feeling that his intellectual capacities are diminishing for a long time.

But all this plan of Mr Fantastic, was to eliminate once and for all the threat of Galactus, Richards will not succumb to his appetite and will starve and thus end this legacy of destruction of the Planet Eater.

The Fantastic Four are returned to Earth and start looking for a way, but they do not have the scientific knowledge to achieve it, so Ben thinks that magic is the only option, Agatha is Val and Franklin's nanny, who owns magical powers and with the help of Silver Surfer they manage to contact Mr Galactus.

Sue Storm explains the supposed decline in Reed's mental capacity, it is simply that he is distracted by having two children that generate an immense amount of variables in his life. This is a tender explanation, full of love and reality.

This comic has a brilliant ending.

Art and Plot

Each page of this comic is a visual and narrative delight, Waid and Adams are a dream creative team.

Summary

The altruism of Mr Fantastic is not the only solution, so we will meet the best version of Galactus

En FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS #2 los Cuatro Fantásticos y el Silver Surfer van a la Zona Negativa a rescatar la versión humana de Galactus, llamado Galan, pero Anhilus los ataca y Silver Surfer los transporta a la nave de Galactus.

Este es el penúltimo capitulo.

¿Qué sucede?

Los Reed Richards y Galan empiezan a diseñar un plan para recuperar su poder y detener a la Antítesis. Esta nave posee tecnología y  conocimientos superiores a lo que Richards puede asimilar, lo que le causa profunda frustración.

mientras Johhny no pierde la oportunidad de hacerle una divertida broma a la Mole.

El plan consiste en ir a los planetas que fue la Antítesis y recuperar la energía de Galactus que se encuentra distribuida entre los habitantes que ahora son zombies a la orden de la Antítesis. Para eso se crean dos equipos Sue con Silver Surfer y Ben con Johnny.

Algo genial es que Galan le otorga poderes similares a los de Silver Surfer para poder buscar la energía, los poderes de Ben, Johhny y Sue son aumentados a escala cósmica.

Pero la Antítesis se entera de este plan y ataca con todo a la nave de Galactus, justamente cuando llegan Sue, Ben, Johnny y Silver Surfer transfieren la energía de Galactus a su nave, pero la energía no llega a Galan...llega a Reed y lo transforma en el nuevo GALACTUS.

Arte y Trama

Este penúltimo capitulo sube el nivel de intensidad y drama, con sorpresas y suspenso, una historia muy concreta que engancha pagina a pagina.

In FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS # 2 the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer go to the Negative Zone to rescue the human version of Galactus, named Galan, but Anhilus attacks them and Silver Surfer transports them to Galactus' ship.

This is the penultimate chapter.

What's going on?

The Reed Richards and Galan begin to devise a plan to regain their power and stop the Antithesis. This ship possesses technology and knowledge beyond what Richards can handle, causing him deep frustration.

While Johhny does not miss the opportunity to prank the Thing.

The plan is to go to the planets that was the Antithesis and recover the energy of Galactus that is distributed among the inhabitants who are now zombies at the order of the Antithesis. For that, two teams are created Sue with Silver Surfer and Ben with Johnny.

Something great is that Galan grants them powers similar to those of Silver Surfer to be able to search for energy, the powers of Ben, Johnny and Sue are increased on a cosmic scale.

But the Antithesis finds out about this plan and attacks Galactus' ship with everything, just when Sue, Ben, Johnny and Silver Surfer arrive, they transfer the energy of Galactus to their ship, but the energy does not reach Galan ... it reaches Reed and transforms him into the new GALACTUS.

Art and Plot

This penultimate chapter raises the level of intensity and drama, with surprises and suspense, a very concise story that hooks the reader page after page.

En FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS #1 luego de ganar una batalla contra Annihilus, de repente un meteoro imparable está por estrellarse en Nueva York, los Cuatro Fantásticos usan sus poderes combinados para detener este objeto..para descubrir que era Silver Surfer gravemente herido que les dice que Galactus está muerto. 

¿Qué sucede?

Los Cuatro Fantásticos llevan a Silver Surfer al laboratorio de Reed Richards en el Baxter Building, para curarlo y que les explique lo que sucede.

Silver Surfer estaba dirigiendo a Galactus a su próximo festín de planetas inhabitados cuando de repente se abre un portal a la Zona Negativa y surge un ser descomunal, gigante cuyos poderes cósmicos parecen no tener comparación y absorbe a Galactus convirtiéndolo en su forma humana llamada Galan y lo envía a la Zona Negativa.

Lo primero que se nos puede ocurrir es que Galactus vencido no es una  mala noticia (como lo comenta la Mole), el problema es que esta Antítesis de Galactus, tiene por objetivo poseer la mente y energía vital de los habitantes de planetas para convertirlos en su ejército y la tierra es su próximo objetivo.

La mejor estrategia que piensa Reed es rescatar a Galan en la Zona Negativa y aprovechar de su sabiduría para ver cómo enfrentar a la Antítesis.

Esta segunda entrega muestra que la amenaza a la que se enfrentan es de gran escala, que puede significar el final de todas las civilizaciones de la galaxia.

Arte y Trama

Mark Waid y Neal Adams crean una atmósfera ligera e interesante que hace que esta historia  sea clásica y fresca a la vez, cada página te hace saltar con desespero a la siguiente. El cómic se separa de la extensa continuidad de historia de los Cuatro Fantásticos en algunos aspectos pero en otros la mantiene, generando así un magnifico nuevo punto de partida.

Resumen

El enemigo al que se enfrentan los Cuatro Fantásticos y Silver Surfer es sumamente letal con un plan de colonizar toda la Galaxia.

Where does it come from?

In FANTASTIC FOUR THE ANTITHESIS # 1 after winning a battle against Annihilus, suddenly an unstoppable meteor is about to crash in New York, the Fantastic Four use their combined powers to stop this object ... to discover that it was the seriously injured Silver Surfer that says Galactus is dead.

What's going on?

The Fantastic Four take Silver Surfer to Reed Richards' laboratory in the Baxter Building, to heal him and to understand what happens.

The Silver Surfer was directing Galactus to his next feast of uninhabited planets when suddenly a portal to the Negative Zone opens and a hulking, giant being emerges whose cosmic powers seem unmatched and absorbs Galactus into his human form called Galan and sends it to the Negative Zone.

The first thing that can occur to us is that Galactus defeated is not bad news (as the Thing comments), the problem is that this Antithesis of Galactus, aims to possess the mind and vital energy of the inhabitants of planets to turn them into his army and The Earth is his next target.

The best strategy Reed thinks of is to rescue Galan in the Negative Zone and take advantage of his wisdom to know how to face the Antithesis.

This second installment shows that the threat they face is large-scale, which may be the end of all civilizations in the galaxy.

Art and Plot

Mark Waid and Neal Adams create a light and interesting atmosphere that makes this story classic and fresh at the same time, each page makes you jump desperately to the next. The comic breaks away from the extensive Fantastic Four story continuity in some respects but maintains it in others, thus creating a magnificent new starting point.

Summary

The enemy faced by the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer is extremely deadly with a plan to colonize the entire Galaxy.

Un meteoro imparable de origen desconocido acaba de llegar del hiperespacio y millones morirán! a menos que los Cuatro Fantásticos encuentren una manera de evitar que golpee Manhattan. 

¿Qué sucede?

Los Cuatro Fantásticos se encuentran en su rutina diaria de salvar al planeta, en este caso luchan contra Annihilus en pleno Nueva York, el equipo trabaja en perfecta armonía, demostrando que unidos son un rival difícil de vencer.

La dinámica del equipo es sublime, los chistes de Johnny (con frases llenas de referencias y usadas por la juventud actual), la valentía de La Mole, el temple de Sue y los planes de Reed, es sin duda un tributo moderno al clásico trabajo de Stan Lee y Jack Kirby, cada página es una obra de arte con una trama intensa.

No solo tienen una rutina de superhéroes compleja, también como familia, Reed y Sue deben balancear todo con seguir criando a sus hijos Valeria y Franklin. Reed está más concentrado que nunca en sus proyectos, con una preocupación y frustración por encima de lo normal que lo mantiene alejado de todos.

Todo se complica cuando un objeto extraño proveniente del espacio se acerca a Nueva York a toda velocidad, con la capacidad de asesinar a millones de personas en Manhattan, los Cuatro Fantásticos deben desviarlo sin saber en realidad lo que se van a encontrar.

La secuencia del meteorito es magnífica, llena de suspenso y acción.

Arte y Trama

Mark Waid y Neal Adams nos traen una historia llena de nostalgia pero a su vez muy fresca y atractiva, donde veremos a los Cuatro Fantásticos en su mejor momento como equipo y están por enfrentarse al rival más poderoso de sus vidas como superhéroes.

Resumen

Con un equipo creativo soñado llega una nueva historia de los Fantastic Four que despertará la curiosidad de nuevos lectores y la nostalgia de los fanáticos más fieles.

What's going on?

The Fantastic Four are in their daily routine of saving the planet, in this case they fight Annihilus in the middle of New York, the team works in perfect harmony, showing that together they are a difficult rival to defeat.

The team dynamics are sublime, Johnny's jokes (with phrases full of references and used by today's youth), The Thing's bravery, Sue's mettle and Reed's plans, is without a doubt a modern tribute to the classic work by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, each page is a richly plotted work of art.

Not only do they have a complex superhero routine, but as a family, Reed and Sue must balance everything with continuing to raise their children Valeria and Franklin. Reed is more focused than ever on his projects, with an above-normal concern and frustration that keeps him away from everyone.

Everything gets complicated when a strange object from space approaches New York at full speed, with the ability to murder millions of people in Manhattan, the Fantastic Four must divert it without actually knowing what they are going to find.

The meteor sequence is magnificent, full of suspense and action.

Art and Plot

Mark Waid and Neal Adams bring us a story full of nostalgia but at the same time very fresh and attractive, where we will see the Fantastic Four in their best moment as a team and they are about to face the most powerful rival of their lives as superheroes.

Summary

With a creative dream team comes a new story of the Fantastic Four that will awaken the curiosity of new readers and the nostalgia of the most loyal fans.
