New York, NY— August 13, 2026 — The all-new, all-disturbing Midnight Universe begins on October 7, and today Marvel Comics unveils new variant covers for all three debut issues—MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #1 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and ScieTronc, MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #1 by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker, and MIDNIGHT X-MEN #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte.

 

Bringing greater clarity and consistency to the variant cover collecting experience, the Midnight line will debut all-new ongoing variant cover programs. Starting with issue #1, each MIDNIGHT series will feature recurring themes across Covers labeled A-E, along with additional variant covers. Covers revealed today include:

El legendario creador de cómics Mike Mignola y Hellboy regresan al infierno con dos nuevas series

 

El legendario creador Mike Mignola y Dark Horse Comics tienen planes diabólicos para Hellboy este invierno. 

En octubre, Mignola y el artista Cyrille Pomès (Moon, 6,000 Miles to Freedom) retomarán la icónica saga de Hellboy in Hell con Hellboy in Hell: Nothing But Blood. 

En diciembre, Mignola se reunirá con Márk László, dibujante de Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Time is a River, para Hellboy In Hell: Parade of Horrors, un evento de cómics de dos números en el que Hellboy asiste al funeral del Diablo. Escrita por Mignola, con arte de László, color de Dave Stewart y rotulación de Clem Robins, ambas ediciones de Hellboy In Hell: Parade of Horrors contarán con portadas de László; una portada alternativa de Mignola para el número 1 y otra de Bridgit Connell para el número 2.

«No tenía planeado regresar al infierno de Hellboy; desde luego, no creía que dejaría entrar a nadie más. Pero me encanta el trabajo de Márk, y cuando nos conocimos me dijo que quería hacer una historia ambientada allí. ¿Cómo iba a negarme?», pregunta Mike Mignola. “Por suerte, había un par de huecos importantes entre los capítulos que había dibujado y pensé que a Márk le gustaría la historia de esos dos soldados muertos que encontramos en 'Los Tres Látigos Dorados', ¡y así fue! Solo le di un esbozo de la historia y él la desarrolló. A medida que la historia tomaba forma, encontramos la manera de introducir un poco más de la historia del lugar. Cada vez que creo que hemos terminado, parece que siempre hay algunos detalles más que explorar, lo cual supongo que es bueno.”

Publicado por primera vez entre 2012 y 2016, Hellboy en el Infierno es un hito importante para el Universo Hellboy que finalmente reveló la verdad sobre los orígenes de Hellboy. Ahora, una década después de su conclusión, Mike Mignola se une a una nueva generación de artistas para expandir su visión del Infierno.

“Desde que leí Hellboy en el Infierno, la versión de Mike del Infierno siempre me pareció un escenario visual fascinante y lleno de matices: todos esos paisajes oscuros, los pueblos desolados e interminables, la multitud de personajes que acechan en su interior”, dijo László. “Cuando hablé con Mike sobre qué podía hacer como próximo proyecto de Hellboy,supe que quería dibujar una historia ambientada allí. Para mi alegría, encontró un hueco entre dos capítulos de su serie original donde pude ampliar un poco la historia, y a partir de ahí todo fluyó. Está compuesta de cosas que me encanta dibujar: Hellboy tropezando entre demonios desfilando,esqueletos bailando, peleas sangrientas, e incluso pude dibujar algunos fragmentos de la historia que hay detrás de esta versión del Infierno”.

Tras los sucesos de Hellboy in Hell: Nothing But Blood, Hellboy sale en busca de algo de beber, pero acaba en un cementerio justo a tiempo para presenciar una macabra procesión en honor a la muerte de Satanás. No todos los demonios se alegran de verlo después del asesinato de su Señor. MILWAUKIE, Ore., (August 13, 2026)—Legendary creator Mike Mignola and Dark Horse Comics have devilish plans for Hellboy this winter. In October, Mignola and artist Cyrille Pomès (Moon, 6,000 Miles to Freedom) will return to the iconic Hellboy in Hell saga with Hellboy in Hell: Nothing But Blood. Then, in December, Mignola will reunite with Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.:Time is a River artist Márk László for Hellboy In Hell: Parade of Horrors – a two-issue comic event that finds Hellboy attending the Devil’s funeral. Written by Mignola with art by László, colors by Dave Stewart, and letters by Clem Robins, both issues of Hellboy In Hell: Parade of Horrors will feature covers by László; with a variant cover from Mignola on issue 1, and Bridgit Connell on issue 2. “I hadn’t planned to return to Hellboy’s HELL — I certainly didn’t think I’d ever let anyone else in there. But I love Márk’s work, and when we met he said he wanted to do a story set there. Well, how could I say no?” asks Mike Mignola. “Fortunately, there were a couple big holes between the chapters I’d drawn and I thought Márk would have fun with those two dead soldiers we meet in 'The Three Gold Whips' — and he did! I only gave him a rough outline for a story, and he took it from there. And as things took shape, we found a place to introduce a bit more of the history of the place. Every time I think we are done with this thing it seems we find there are just a few more bits and pieces to explore, which I guess is a good thing.” First published between 2012-2016, Hellboy in Hell is a major milestone for the Hellboy Universe that finally revealed the truth about Hellboy’s origins. Now, a decade after its conclusion, Mike Mignola is teaming up with a new generation of artists to expand his vision of Hell. “Ever since reading Hellboy in Hell, Mike's version of the place (Hell) always felt like such a fun, rich visual playground to me: all those dark landscapes, the endless, bleak villages, the set of characters lurking inside,” said László. “When I spoke with Mike about what could I do as a next Hellboy project, I knew I wanted to draw a story that is set in there. Sinopsis

I LOVE APOCALYPTIC ZOMBIE MISFITS comienza cuando un pacifista empollón resucita en una cuba de aceite de motor sagrado y queda atrapado en el cuerpo descomunal de un asesino sobrenatural, obligado a proteger a un niño con poderes psíquicos de las fuerzas del Cielo, el Infierno y todo lo demás. Es mucho que asimilar, ¡pero al menos tiene una máscara de Halloween y un escuadrón de gallinas homicidas!

«La gente suele decirme que escribo libros raros. No es cierto. Escribo historias sobre la amistad, la familia, la lealtad y personas maravillosamente imperfectas que, casualmente, incluyen asesinos en serie, caníbales, furries homicidas y, en el caso de I LOVE APOCALYPTIC ZOMBIE MISFITS, gallinas asesinas», dice el escritor Doug Wagner. «De alguna manera, Daniel y yo logramos que nuestros libros anteriores parecieran casi convencionales, y Clover Press nos apoyó en todo momento.
