¿De qué viene?

Cuando una joven pareja mexicana de clase media es perseguida por el Cartel de Juárez, no le queda otra opción que cruzar la frontera hacia Texas, son rescatados por un misterioso personaje local que los lleva a la seguridad del rancho de su familia, la pareja pronto se da cuenta de que sus anfitriones tienen algo más que esqueletos en su armario, y el ejército de asesinos que los persigue podría ser el menor de sus problemas.

¿Qué sucede?

Karina y Santiago disfrutan de una cena entre amigos, celebrando la valentía de Karina al alertar a la policía de Juarez, México, sobre un acontecimiento criminal.

El detalle es que los tentáculos del Cartel son largos y están en todos lados, por lo que envía a unos sicarios a eliminar a Karina Santiago, es un ataque cruel y sangriento que por cuestión de suerte hace que Karina y Eduardo escapen, pero antes asesinan a César, el sobrino del Jefe máximo del Cartel...Javier.

Esta pareja decide irse a Texas, EE.UU por la frontera que se comunica con Juarez, ya que no pueden confiar en las autoridades y no están habituados a esta terrible situación, es cuando se encuentran con Tito, un adolescente que les ofrece ayuda para llevarlos  la frontera, Eduardo no está de acuerdo con esta ayuda milagrosa, sin embargo cuando son interceptados por otros sicarios de Javier, no les queda otra que aceptar otra ayuda milagrosa departe de Colby.

Colby invita a todos a su rancho a 10 millas de la frontera, afirma que esta amabilidad forma parte de la nación de EE.UU.

Como habitante Latinoamericano, es sencillo identificarse y entender por completo la situación que plantea la trama, cuando la corrupción ha alcanzado niveles de poder que superan a los gobiernos o forman parte de el.

Arte y trama.
Will Conrad  logra crear una atmósfera magnífica que mezcla el suspenso con el terror de la historia muy real de un drama que ocurre a diario, adecuadamente plasmado en la trama de Jason Starr.

Resumen

Karina y Eduardo deben escapar de su país natal México, ya que sus vidas son un problema para el Cartel liderado por el Jefe Javier. La frontera con EE.UU es la última esperanza de esta pareja

What's it coming from? 

When a young, middle-class Mexican couple targeted for death by the Juarez Cartel flee across the border into Texas, they wander into a house of horrors beyond their wildest imagination. Rescued by a mysterious local who takes them to the safety of his family’s ranch, the couple soon realize their hosts have more than just skeletons in their closet, and the army of assassins on their trail might be the least of their problems.

What's going on? Karina and Santiago enjoy dinner with friends, celebrating Karina's courage by alerting the police in Juarez, Mexico, about an criminal event. The detail is that the tentacles of the Cartel are long and are everywhere, so it sends a few hitmen to eliminate Karina Santiago, it is a cruel and bloody attack that by pure luck causes Karina and Eduardo to escape, but first they kill César, the nephew of the cruel Chief of the Cartel ... Javier.

This couple decides to go to Texas, USA using the border that communicates with Juarez, since they cannot trust the authorities and are not used to this terrible situation, is when they meet Tito, a teenager who offers them help to take them to the border, Eduardo does not agree with this miraculous help, however when they are intercepted by other hit men from Javier, they have no choice but to accept another miraculous help from Colby.

Colby invites everyone to his ranch 10 miles from the border, he states that this kindness is part of the US nation welcome party.

As a Latin American inhabitant, it´s easy to identify and fully understand the situation posed by the plot, when corruption has reached levels of power that surpass governments or are part of it.

Art and plot.

Will Conrad manages to create a magnificent atmosphere that mixes the suspense with the terror of the very real story of a drama that happens daily, properly embodied in the plot of Jason Starr.

Summary

Karina and Eduardo must escape from their home country Mexico, since their lives are a problem for the Cartel led by Chief Javier. The US border is the last hope of this couple
