Ghost Machine Productions lanza REDCOAT un nuevo personaje que lo conocimos en los dos especiales GEIGER 80-PAGE GIANT #1 (2022) y GHOST MACHINE #1 ONE-SHOT (2024), del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Bryan Hitch, que narra las aventuras de un casi héroe de guerra que forma parte del universo de los UNNAMED que incluye a Geiger y Junkyard Joe.
¿De qué viene?
Un preludio especial de la próxima serie ¡FIRST GHOST! Corre el año 1814. Washington D.C. está sitiada por el ejército británico y la Casa Blanca está envuelta en llamas. En medio del caos de la guerra, el inmortal soldado británico Simon Pure presencia cómo la historia arde ante sus ojos y se encuentra cara a cara con el hombre responsable de encender la cerilla. Pero cuando Simon descubre que conoce al pirómano, su misión da un giro impactante...

Trama
Este cómic narra como Simon Pure se involucró sin querer en un evento histórico de importancia, cuando el Admiral Inglés George Cockburn atacó la casa del presidente Madison el 24 de Agosto de 1864, como una especie de golpe de estado que no tuvo éxito.
Simón estaba en el lugar por casualidad porque le habían ofrecido una cena y justamente ve como la primera dama Mrs Dolley Madison rescata el retrato de George Washington de las llamas. Simon no le gusta mucho la idea por ser peligrosa y por no ser fanático de Washington, ya que su inmortalidad proviene de un rito para darle la inmortalidad a Washington que por error recibió Simon.
George Washington reaparece con un relámpago decidido a buscar a Simon.
El comi cierra en la actualidad donde hay un retrato en la Casa Blanca de Simón justamente debajo de la de Washington. Simon es conocido como el héroe anónimo que ayudó a la primera dama Dolly Madison a salvar el retrato, lo tienen como un héroe anónimo.
Arte
Bryan Hitch ofrece su visión cinematográfica, dónde dirige secuencias de acción hipnotizantes y captura los detalles y tonos de cada época de antaño. Los colores crean la atmósfera perfecta de una época ruda de posguerra.
Tiene un manejo de las escalas hipnotizante, transporta y te sacude con visiones realistas impactantes en un formato muy parecido al cinematográfico.
Resumen
Simón se convierte en un héroe anónimo por accidente justamente el día del nefasto ataque del Admiral Cockburn al presidente Madison. Excelente historia de ficción alrededor de hechos reales

What does it come from?
A special prelude to the upcoming series FIRST GHOST! The year is 1814. Washington D.C. is under siege by the British army, and the White House is engulfed in flames. Amid the chaos of war, immortal British soldier Simon Pure witnesses history burning before his eyes—and comes face to face with the man responsible for lighting the match. But when Simon realizes he knows the arsonist, his mission takes a shocking turn…
Plot
This comic tells how Simon Pure unwittingly became involved in a significant historical event, when the English Admiral George Cockburn attacked President Madison's home on August 24, 1864, as a sort of unsuccessful coup d'état.
Simon happened to be there because he had been given a dinner party and just happened to witness First Lady Dolly Madison rescue George Washington's portrait from the flames. Simon doesn't like the idea because it's dangerous and because he's not a fan of Washington, as his immortality comes from a ritual to grant Washington immortality, which Simon mistakenly received.
George Washington reappears in a flash of lightning, determined to find Simon.
The comic closes in the present day, where a portrait of Simon hangs in the White House, right below Washington's. Simon is known as the unsung hero who helped First Lady Dolly Madison save the portrait; he's considered an unsung hero.
Art
Bryan Hitch offers his cinematic vision, directing mesmerizing action sequences and capturing the details and tones of each era. The colors create the perfect atmosphere of a harsh post-war era.
His mesmerizing command of scale transports and shocks you with striking realistic visions in a very cinematic format.
Summary
Simon accidentally becomes an unsung hero on the very day of Admiral Cockburn's ill-fated attack on President Madison. An excellent fictional story based on true events.
