Ghost Machine Productions lanza HYDE STREET, una nueva y épica serie de cómics que inaugura el universo de terror de Ghost Machine, de los creadores legendarios Geoff Johns e Ivan Reis, cuya larga colaboración produjo títulos icónicos Blackest Night: Green Lantern y Aquaman.
¿De qué viene?
El Dr. Victor Frankenstein no se compara con el Dr. Archibald Ego de Hyde Street, un cirujano plástico con una reputación arruinada, cuyas negligencias médicas no solo dejan cicatrices en la piel, sino también en el alma. Tras ser obligado a trabajar en Hyde Street en 1997, el Dr. Ego se encuentra con una antigua paciente que regresa con la intención de saldar cuentas pendientes y buscar venganza. Pero cuando el bisturí entra en acción, ¿quién se convierte en el verdadero monstruo? ¿Y qué oscura conexión une a este siniestro doctor con el aterrador Matiné Monster?

Trama
Esta entrega muestra como el Doctor Ego se inspiró en la obsesión de su padre con realizar cirugías plásticas en la segunda guerra aprovechándose de los heridos, que su ética se contaminó con esta obsesión, el Doctor Ego nunca se detenía, realizaba cantidades en exceso de procedimientos sin importar el resultado o efecto psicológico del paciente, aprovechándose de la también obsesión de sus pacientes de verse mejor.
El Doctor Ego opera a pacientes que caen en desgracia en Hyde Street, el comic narra varios de esso casos, los dos más impactantes se convirtieron en asistentes de Ego en Hyde Street.
En la actualidad Ego le explica a Mr. X-ray que Pranky no se puede sacar la la máscara, porque esta reveló que es un monstruo y lo transformó en uno, los lentes que le quitó a Mr. X-ray deben esperar devolverse automáticamente si y solo si Pranky cambia al darse cuenta que es un monstruo.
Por otro lado Monste Matinee descubre que el Butcher de Hyde Street es Pranky.

Es un arte que ofrece detalles gracias a u iluminación, donde muestran la crueldad de estos seres tan aborrecibles y crueles de Hyde Street.

What does it come from?

Dragged to Hyde Street in 1997, Doctor Ego now encounters an old patient lured back by unfinished business—and a thirst for revenge. But when the scalpel turns, who becomes the real monster? And what dark connection binds the twisted doctor to the terrifying Matinee Monster?
Plot
This installment shows how Dr. Ego was inspired by his father's obsession with performing plastic surgery during World War II, exploiting wounded soldiers, and how this obsession corrupted his ethics. Dr. Ego never stopped, performing countless procedures regardless of the outcome or the psychological impact on the patient, taking advantage of his patients' own obsession with looking better.
Dr. Ego operates on unfortunate patients on Hyde Street, and the comic recounts several of these cases; the two most impactful ones resulted in the patients becoming Ego's assistants on Hyde Street.
In the present day, Ego explains to Mr. X-Ray that Pranky cannot remove the mask because it revealed his monstrous nature and transformed him into one. The glasses that Ego took from Mr. X-Ray will only automatically return to him if and when Pranky realizes he is a monster.
Meanwhile, Monster Matinee discovers that the Butcher of Hyde Street is Pranky.
Art
The artwork offers rich detail thanks to its lighting, effectively portraying the cruelty and abhorrence of these monstrous and vicious beings of Hyde Street.
