¿De qué viene?

Alicia ha regresado de una convención de esculturas y ha descubierto que los Cuatro Fantásticos tienen una nueva mascota: un adorable perro que todos le aseguran que le encantará. Pero cuando toca a la criatura por primera vez, está fría, húmeda, viscosa y no es la adecuada; al menos hasta un momento después, cuando de repente siente el cálido y suave pelaje que esperaba. Alicia es la única que ve la verdad: esto no es un perro. Algo muy malo se ha infiltrado en los Cuatro Fantásticos y está haciendo que todos piensen que es un perro. ¡Y esta criatura tiene sus propios designios para Alicia y para todo el planeta Tierra!

Trama

Alicia visita la granja de los Fantastic Four y le presentan a una nueva mascota, un perrito llamado "jellybean" pero Alicia no lo percibe como un perro si no como una especie de ser viscoso con tentáculos, pero nadie le cree cuando dice que es raro.

Alicia trabaja en sus obras de arte y no se saca la idea de la cabeza a parte de la desagradable sensación, por lo que visita a Reed y le hace una pregunta hipotética de que pasaría si ella percibe algo muy diferente a los demás. Reed le describe el fenómeno psicológico en el que el cerebro interpreta patrones o rostros en estímulos ambiguos o aleatorios llamado pareidolia, pero como Alicia no puede ver este efecto no funciona en ella. Este ser controla la pareidolia y hace que todos vean algo inofensivo que en realidad es una amenaza.

En la noche Alicia es atrapada por "jellybean". Reed se queda obsesionado con lo que le dice Alicia y crea un equipo que elimina una especie de campo de fuerza de pareidolia, todos reaccionan y Ben descubre que Alicia está totalmente envuelta por este ser visoso con tentáculos morado que no es un perro.

Los Cuatro Fantásticos descubren que estos seres llevan meses en nuestro mundo y tienen millones de personas engañadas, Reed expande el efecto de su dispositivo y estos seres deciden retirarse, su estrategia de control mundial es descubierta.

Esta entrega tiene todos los elementos de un magnífico cómic de los Cuatro Fantásticos que son ciencia ficción, suspenso, terror y trabajo en equipo.

Arte

Humberto Ramos hace gala de sus habilidades artísticas, con su impronta tan característica eleva las secuencias de acción y logra recrear cada era totalmente diferente. La paleta de colores es brillante y destaca todos esos maravillosos trazos de Ramos.

What does it come from?

Alicia has returned from a sculpture convention to discover the Fantastic Four have a new pet - an adorable new dog that everyone tells her she'll love. But when she first touches the creature, it's cold, it's wet, it's slimy and it's wrong - at least until a moment later, when suddenly, she feels the warm and soft fur she's expecting. Alicia is the only one who can see the truth: This is not a dog. This is something very wrong that has insinuated itself inside the Fantastic Four and which is making everyone think it's a dog. And this creature has designs of its own for both Alicia - and the entire planet Earth!

Plot

Alice visits the Fantastic Four's farm and is introduced to a new pet, a dog named "Jellybean." However, Alice doesn't perceive it as a dog, but rather as some kind of slimy creature with tentacles. No one believes her when she says it's weird.

Alice is working on her artwork and can't get the idea out of her head, aside from the unpleasant sensation, so she visits Reed and asks him a hypothetical question: what would happen if she perceived something very different from everyone else's? Reed describes the psychological phenomenon called pareidolia, in which the brain interprets patterns or faces in ambiguous or random stimuli. However, since Alice can't see, this effect doesn't work for her. This creature controls pareidolia and makes everyone see something harmless that is actually a threat.

At night, Alice is trapped by "Jellybean." Reed becomes obsessed with what Alicia tells him and creates a team that eliminates a kind of pareidolia force field. Everyone reacts, and Ben discovers that Alicia is completely enveloped by this slimy, purple, tentacled being that isn't a dog.

The Fantastic Four discover that these beings have been in our world for months and have deceived millions of people. Reed expands the effect of his device, and these beings decide to retreat; their strategy of global control is discovered.

This issue has all the elements of a magnificent Fantastic Four comic: science fiction, suspense, horror, and teamwork.

Art

Humberto Ramos shows off his artistic skills; with his characteristic touch, he elevates the action sequences and manages to recreate each completely different era. The color palette is brilliant and highlights all of Ramos' wonderful strokes.

Summary

Alicia helps the Fantastic Four stop a global threat under the guise of tenderness.
