Ghost Machine Productions lanza REDCOAT un nuevo personaje que lo conocimos en los dos especiales GEIGER 80-PAGE GIANT #1 (2022) y GHOST MACHINE #1 ONE-SHOT (2024), del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Bryan Hitch, que narra las aventuras de un casi héroe de guerra que forma parte del universo de los UNNAMED que incluye a Geiger y Junkyard Joe.

¿De qué viene?

FIN DEL ARCO ARGUMENTAL “1909”, Final. La sangrienta conclusión de la historia de la que Simon Pure no quiere hablar termina en sangre. Mucha sangre. Dos inmortales, Simon y Benedict Arnold, luchan por acabar el uno con el otro. ¡Y descubriremos de primera mano si un inmortal puede morir de verdad!

Trama

Simon en un ataque de ira ataca a Benedict con todas su fuerza, cada ataque le ocasiona heridas letales, pero Benedict se recupera como lo haría Simon, aun cuando Benedict tiene el Hacha de las Mentiras, no es rival para los ataques de Simon Pure.

Benedict hizo toda esta trampa con el único objetivo de burlarse de Simon y hacerle daño, quitarle todo, esto es su venganza final.

Einstein es testigo de esta pelea y casi es herido por Benedict, pero Simon lo salva y traslada la pelea  una casa en construcción, donde lanza el hacha y a Benedict a unas bases de concreto para que queden sepultados de por vida.

Simon desconsolado se lleva un martillo y asesina a sangre fría con los supuestos integrantes de la secta de los Padres Fundadores, quienes eran actores pagados por Benedict, Simon elimina uno a uno y con el último se lanza del edificio para matarlo e intentar suicidarse, no lo logra pero queda muy herido.

Doloroso cierre de este arco, donde Simón pierde a su familia y única razón de vivir, aun cuando no puede morir.

Arte

Bryan Hitch ofrece su visión cinematográfica, dónde dirige secuencias de acción hipnotizantes y captura los detalles y tonos de cada época de antaño. Los colores crean la atmósfera perfecta que te transporta a principios del siglo XX.

Tiene un manejo de las escalas hipnotizante, transporta y te sacude con visiones realistas impactantes en un formato muy parecido al cinematográfico.

Resumen

Simon es víctima de la venganza cruel e inhumana de Benedict y se dispone a hacerlo pagar.

Impactante cierre de este desconcertante arco argumental

What does it come from?

END OF STORY ARC “1909,” Finale The bloody conclusion to the story Simon Pure won’t talk about ends in blood. Lots of it. Two immortals—Simon and Benedict Arnold battle to end each other. And we’ll learn first-hand if an immortal can truly die!

Plot

In a fit of rage, Simon attacks Benedict with all his might. Each blow inflicts lethal wounds, but Benedict recovers as easily as Simon would. Even with the Axe of Lies, Benedict is no match for Simon Pure's attacks.

Benedict orchestrated this entire scheme with the sole purpose of mocking Simon and hurting him, taking everything from him. This is his final revenge.

Einstein witnesses this fight and is nearly injured by Benedict, but Simon saves him and moves the fight to a house under construction. There, he throws the axe and Benedict onto concrete foundations, burying them for life.

Distraught, Simon takes a hammer and coldly murders the supposed members of the Founding Fathers sect, who were actors paid by Benedict. Simon eliminates them one by one, and with the last one, he leaps from the building to kill him and attempt suicide. He fails but is left severely wounded.

A heartbreaking end to this arc, where Simon loses his family and his only reason for living, even though he cannot die.

Art

Bryan Hitch offers his cinematic vision, directing mesmerizing action sequences and capturing the details and tones of each bygone era. The colors create the perfect atmosphere that transports you to the early 20th century.

His masterful use of scale is mesmerizing; he transports and shakes you with striking, realistic visions in a format very similar to film.

Summary

Simon is the victim of Benedict's cruel and inhuman revenge and sets out to make him pay. A shocking conclusion to this perplexing story arc

Trama

Narra el origen de Visión, que resulta ser un androide del 2025 que viaja en el tiempo que toma primera identidad de la Antorcha Humana, desde esa época se ha infiltrado como un espía en la historia, preparando su plan de ataque que sera de ayuda a los Ultimates, usando a Wasp como aliada.

El Consejo de Maker creó H.A.N.D y varias versiones androides de Nick Fury que eran eliminados por Visión pero que nunca descubrieron como.

James Rhodes versión Ultimate aparece y activa un super traje gigante de Maker, el ANTI WAR MACHINE, con el cual elimina más del 70 por ciento de los HELICARRIERS de H.A.N.D.

La revelación de Visión y su plan secreto de ataque es el perfecto aliado para los Ultimates.

Arte 

Con trazas firmes que muestran todo con detalle, el arte de Noto posee una impronta única que respeta los diseños clásicos de todos los personajes y al mismo tiempo se sienten actuales.

Plot
It tells the origin story of Vision, who turns out to be a time-traveling android from 2025 who initially takes the identity of the Human Torch. Since then, he has infiltrated history as a spy, preparing his attack plan to aid the Ultimates, using Wasp as an ally.

The Maker Council created H.A.N.D. and several android versions of Nick Fury, which were eliminated by Vision, though they never discovered how.

The Ultimate version of James Rhodes appears and activates a giant Maker super suit, the ANTI WAR MACHINE, with which he eliminates more than 70 percent of H.A.N.D.'s Helicarriers.

The revelation of Vision and his secret attack plan makes him the perfect ally for the Ultimates.

Ghost Machine Productions lanza GEIGER en un nuevo volumen, del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Gary Frank y el colorista Brad Anderson. Esta serie de cómics tendrá frecuencia mensual y forma parte de la primera ola de cómics de Ghost Machine Productions. La serie sigue las aventuras de Tariq Geiger, el misterioso Hombre Resplandeciente presentado por primera vez en la exitosa serie GEIGER Vol 1 de Johns y Frank, que se lanzó en 2021 y fue publicada por Image Comics. GEIGER también se está desarrollando para televisión en Paramount TV con Justin Simien como director.

Trama

Geiger recibe los bastones de rodio de Barney, que le permite controlar sus poderes. Geiger decide que seguirá su camino, sin Nate, Molotov, Zebra y Junkyard Joe, no mas misiones, solo caminar e impartir su justicia, pero es interrumpido por unas luces de colores que hacen aparecer a THE NORTHERNER.

Hay una breve intro de la tragedia de Geiger que le hizo separarse del búnker que pensó que protegería a su familia.

Molotov, Nate y Zig Zag esperan noticias de Geiger mientras se defienden de los soldados que quieren robar a Junkyard Joe. 

The Northerner le explica que viene de un futuro alterno donde la Guerra Civil de Secesión de EE.UU la ganó el Sur, por lo que su nación se erigió de otra manera, hasta que una persona le muestra un discurso de Martin Luther King que proviene de nuestra realidad donde ganó el Norte, donde  si existió este gran estadista.

The Northerner viaja en el tiempo constantemente y debe descubrir lo que debe hacer en la era en que es enviado, como cuando logró detener el cambio generado en el pasado con la ayuda de Redcoat e hizo que el Norte ganara (Leer REDCOAT TP VOL 2). Pero ahora está en el futuro y no entiende que debe hacer y si ese cambio que hizo en el pasado igual no detuvo la catastrófica UNKNOWN WAR, donde no se sabe aun quien lanzó este ataque nuclear.

Pero The Northerner recibe constantemente ayuda, recibe armas de otra época que le permite defenderse. Aunque Geiger no le cree mucho aún, lo va a yudar a llegar hasta Detroit donde esta un centro de información que The Northerner necesita para saber lo que tiene que hacer en esta época. Pero son interceptados por unos piratas de carretera que son aplastados por un tanque enviado a The Northerner como ayuda.

Esta saga empieza a tener revelaciones clave para entender esta guerra desconocida y cómo se relacionan con Redcoat, Geiger y Junkyard Joe, una mezcla alucinante entre Terminator con Mad Max!

Arte 

Gary Frank  como es de costumbre logra el balance perfecto de un arte sumamente detallado y orgánico con colores claros que no esconde nada. Es hipnotizante cada panel de cada página, cada vez que la aprecias consigues nuevos e increíbles detalles.

La rotulación de Rob Leigh es una explosión de adrenalina onomatopéyica.

Resumen

Geiger se encuentra con The Northerner y las revelaciones empiezan a surgir sobre esta guerra y la posibilidad de cambiar este futuro catastrófico.

¡Este nuevo arco argumental es una mezcla radiactiva de Terminator con Mad Max!

What does it come from?

THE NORTHERNER: DEAD AMERICA, PART 1. After the explosive finale of REDCOAT: THE NORTHERNER, the mysterious Union soldier finds himself face to face with Tariq Geiger in the radioactive future. But is he here to help…or to change everything? The next era of GEIGER begins here.

Plot

Geiger receives Barney's rhodium-plated batons, which allow him to control his powers. Geiger decides to continue on his own path, without Nate, Molotov, Zebra, and Junkyard Joe—no more missions, just walking and dispensing his own brand of justice. But he is interrupted by colorful lights that summon THE NORTHERNER.

There is a brief intro to Geiger's tragedy that led him to leave the bunker he thought would protect his family.

Molotov, Nate, and Zig Zag await news of Geiger while defending themselves against soldiers who want to steal Junkyard Joe.

The Northerner explains that he comes from an alternate future where the South won the American Civil War, and the nation was restructured differently. Then, someone shows him a speech by Martin Luther King Jr. from our reality, where the North won, and where this great statesman actually existed.

The Northerner travels through time constantly and must discover what to do in the era he's sent to, like when he managed to stop the change generated in the past with Redcoat's help, ensuring the North's victory (Read REDCOAT TP VOL 2). But now he's in the future and doesn't understand what to do, or if the change he made in the past didn't stop the catastrophic UNKNOWN WAR, where the origin of the nuclear attack remains a mystery.

But the Northerner is constantly receiving help, weapons from another era that allow him to defend himself. Although Geiger doesn't quite believe him yet, he helps him reach Detroit, where there's an information center the Northerner needs to know what to do in this time. But they're intercepted by highway robbers who are crushed by a tank sent to the Northerner as assistance.

This saga begins to reveal key elements for understanding this unknown war and how it connects to Redcoat, Geiger, and Junkyard Joe—a mind-blowing mix of Terminator and Mad Max!

Art

As usual, Gary Frank achieves the perfect balance of incredibly detailed and organic art with clear colors that leave nothing hidden. Every panel on every page is mesmerizing; each time you look at it, you discover new and amazing details.

Rob Leigh's lettering is an onomatopoeic explosion of adrenaline.

Summary

Geiger meets with The Northerner, and revelations begin to emerge about this Unknown War and the possibility of changing this catastrophic future.

This new arc is a radioactive mix of Terminator with Mad Max!

¿De qué viene?

¡Mi cena con Harry! ¡Harry Osborn vive! Peter y Mary Jane tienen otra cena trascendental con Harry y Gwen…

Trama

Harry, Gwen, Peter y MJ se reúnen a cenar a petición de MJ, ya que necesita que los tres le cuenten todo lo que ella necesita saber para prepararse como poder defender  a sus hijas de estas futuras amenazas.

Gwen toma el control de la conversación y deja claro que esta guerra está lejos de terminar, que todo se acabará cuando ella, Harry y Peter ganen, es decir, a ella no le importa los daños colaterales ya que la secta de Mysterio es su razón de vivir.

MJ y Gwen hablan a solas, donde se confirma que Gwen es peligrosa y capaz de complicar todo, por lo que MJ tiene un plan para usar el amuleto de Mysterio que en 11 días le toca usarlo a Gwen.

Por otro lado el Tío Ben habla con Richard sobre lo sucedido con Black Cat, Richard está enamorado y no siente peligro al ser Venom.

Esta serie mejora y mejora, con esta entrega llena de tensión y diálogos brillantes.

Arte

Es muy orgánico con algunas texturas, que parecen tener cierta influencia asiática, posee mucho brillo.

Resumen

MJ finalmente empieza a tener respuestas a sus preguntas y prepara un plan de contingencia para las acciones de Gwen

What does it come from?

MY DINNER WITH HARRY! Harry Osborn lives! Peter and Mary Jane have another fateful dinner with Harry and Gwen…

Plot

Harry, Gwen, Peter, and MJ meet for dinner at MJ's request, as she needs the three of them to tell her everything she needs to know to prepare for and defend her daughters from these future threats.

Gwen takes control of the conversation and makes it clear that this war is far from over, that everything will end when she, Harry, and Peter win. In other words, she doesn't care about the collateral damage since Mysterio's cult is her reason for living.

MJ and Gwen talk alone, where it is confirmed that Gwen is dangerous and capable of complicating everything. MJ then has a plan to use Mysterio's amulet, which Gwen will have to use in 11 days.

Meanwhile, Uncle Ben talks with Richard about what happened with Black Cat. Richard is in love and doesn't feel threatened by Venom.

This series keeps getting better, with this installment filled with tension and brilliant dialogue.

Art

It's very organic, with some textures that seem to have an Asian influence, and it's very shiny.

Summary

MJ finally begins to get answers to her questions and prepares a contingency plan for Gwen's actions

New York, NY— June 18, 2025 — Marvel’s Ultimate titles are heading towards a pivotal moment: the return of the creator behind this captivating new universe, THE MAKER! As each hit series continues to deliver bold and high-stakes storytelling, they’ll all gravitate around this key turning point, making it the perfect time to see why this new line of books have taken the industry by storm!

 

September sees some of the most explosive issues to date as T’Challa ascends to gain new power in ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER, the Sinister Six implodes in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, and Miles Morales takes on Magik, Colossus and Omega Red in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: INCURSION, the line’s newly launched and first-ever event series. Plus, ULTIMATE HAWKEYE, a breakout character from Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri’s blockbuster ULTIMATES series, strikes out on their own in a solo one-shot!

 

ULTIMATE HAWKEYE #1 will be written by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas and B. Earl, the writing duo behind acclaimed series like Daredevil & Echo and Werewolf by Night. Before being recruited to the Ultimates by Captain America, Charli Ramsey was a vigilante, defending their people from Roxxon’s exploitation. Now, in an adventure that reveals more of Ultimate Hawkeye’s history, the expert archer breaks away from the team to embark on a covert operation to thwart the Maker’s plans, a mission that will have a massive impact on the future of the Ultimate Universe!

 

“These are some trying times. We are living in an era of chaos and uncertainty, it’s an honor to bring Good Medicine with this ULTIMATE HAWKEYE one-shot!” Taboo said. “Getting a chance to write another book for Marvel is a way for me to channel my creativity and bring positivity and great action-packed storytelling to the world.
