Lo que sigue es una mezcla salvaje de acción, aventura, comedia y romance: una mamá recién embarazada, con una recompensa por su cabeza, lucha contra oleadas de asesinos, se enamora del papá de su bebé y decide cómo afrontar su dilema personal y profesional.

Arte 

Mike Deodato Jr. se supera a sí mismo jugando con las disposición de los paneles, lo que le ofrece un dinamismo hipnotizante. Las secuencias de pelea poseen una fluidez anatómica impresionante con un profunda sensación cinematográfica, aparte de la cantidad de detalles hacen de este proyecto uno de los mejores de la carrera de Deodato.

Trama 

La historia se centra en una mercenaria/sicaria cuyo nombre clave es MOM (Madre) porque su modus operandi consiste en portar una barriga falsa para hacer creer a todos que está embarazada y eso hace que pase desapercibida por sus sis víctimas. 

Mom ha realizado buenos trabajos de eliminación y se ganó un puesto fijo en la Agency, una organización misteriosa y semi clandestina que lleva tiempo contratándola de manera independiente. Mom es ruda, cruel y muy hábil en combate mano a mano así como con cualquier arma.

En la primera misión de Mom tiene un desliz que se convierte en un error que hace que la Agencia le tenga en la mira y ya no necesite la barriga falsa.

Con una narrativa un ritmo vertiginoso, este guion te captura y te hace imposible dejar de leer, con mucha acción, comedia, romance y una secuencias de pelea magníficamente mostradas gracias a que la propia Ronda las realizó y grabó en video como apoyo visual para que Mike Deodato las ilustrara. Tanto Ronda como Mike son especialistas en artes marciales y por eso la fluidez del arte y narrativa alcanzan otro nivel de realismo y emoción.

Toda esta acción plasmada en un brillante dinamismo secuencial es un adorno para el mensaje central que habla de la responsabilidad y la maternidad.

Mike Deodato Jr. excels at playing with panels, giving it a mesmerizing dynamism. The fight sequences possess impressive anatomical fluidity with a profound cinematic feel, and the sheer amount of detail makes this project one of the best of Deodato's career.

Plot

The story centers on a mercenary/hitwoman codenamed MOM because her modus operandi is to wear a fake belly to make everyone believe she's pregnant, allowing her to go unnoticed by her victims.

Mom has performed well in elimination work and earned a permanent position with the Agency, a mysterious, semi-clandestine organization that has been hiring her freelance for some time. Mom is rude, cruel and very skilled in hand-to-hand combat as well as with any weapon.

On Mom's first mission, she makes a mistake that ends up causing the Agency to target her, and she no longer needs the fake belly.

With a fast-paced narrative, this script captivates you and makes it impossible to put down, with plenty of action, comedy, romance and superbly rendered fight sequences, thanks to the fact that Ronda herself shot them and recorded them on video as visual aids for Mike Deodato to illustrate. Both Ronda and Mike are martial arts specialists, so the fluidity of the art and narrative reach a new level of realism and emotion.

All this action, captured in brilliant sequential dynamics, serves as an embellishment to the central message of responsibility and motherhood.

¿De qué viene?

Escrito por Dan Baillie, este thriller en prosa, con una intensa ilustración, presenta magníficas ilustraciones a todo color del aclamado artista de portada Tim Bradstreet (The Punisher, Hellblazer) y marca el debut de FUTURE OF FEAR.

Cuando Oscar, recuperándose de un divorcio, acepta un trabajo como vigilante de incendios en un remoto puesto forestal, desentierra una hoja de papel destrozada con una extraña inscripción de reglas que prometen mantenerlo a salvo durante su guardia. Oscar lo toma a broma, considerándolo una broma —una ligera evasiva de los demás vigilantes de incendios de la zona—, pero al caer la noche, descubre que las reglas, y la amenaza contra la que lo protegen, son demasiado reales.

Trama 

Oscar se acaba de divorciar y está en una fase de duelo, porque siente que está aislado del mundo, no desea estar en su círculo familiar o de amigos, quiere soledad sin saber lo que eso significa.

Misteriosamente es contactado por Mark, quien le ofrece un empleo de trabajar en una torre de vigilancia de guardabosques, es la soledad que justamente Oscar necesitaba experimentar.

En esta torre recibe la bienvenida por radio de Allison, la otra guardabosques en otra torre lejana. Oscar consigue un papel dentro del manual de guardabosques escrito a mano con diez reglas que debe cumplir para sobrevivir a una misteriosa mujer que llora.....estas escalofriantes reglas empiezan a tener lógica a medida que avanzan las noches.

Esta historia que ofrece el balance perfecto en misterio, horror folk y suspenso es narrada en un formato que es una fusión entre el cómic y la prosa, mediantes imágenes impactantes, los diálogos y notas del narrador son escritas todas en prosa, no hay globos de diálogos. Este nuevo producto es innovador, atrevido, y sorpresivo que establece un método narrativo con el cual hay que acostumbrarse, seas ávido lector de cómics o libros.

Esta nueva fábula actual de terror entretiene y ofrece bastantes momentos de escalofríos, que de seguro serán un hit cuando sean adaptadas en otros medios audiovisuales.

Arte

Es un arte hiperrealista que te hace experimentar el terror que vive Oscar en cada una de esas noches donde hay un ser acechándolo. La paleta de colores es magnífica y recrea desde la oscuridad absoluta hasta atardeceres hipnotizantes.

Resumen 

Oscar desea estar solo para olvidar sus fracasos personales, pero lo que parece un trabajo perfecto se convierte en una trampa mortal que supera las barreras de la lógica natural.

Plot

Oscar has just divorced and is grieving because he feels isolated from the world. He doesn't want to be with his family or friends. He wants solitude without knowing what that means. In this tower, he is welcomed from a radio by Allison, the other ranger in another distant tower. Oscar finds in a ranger manual ten rules he must follow to survive a mysterious crying woman. These chilling rules begin to make sense as the nights go by. This story, which offers the perfect balance of mystery, horror folk, and suspense, is told in a format that fuses comics and prose. The dialogue and narrator's notes are all written in prose, with no dialogue balloons. This new product is innovative, bold, and surprising, establishing a narrative method that will take some getting used to, whether you're an avid comic book or books reader. This new contemporary horror fable entertains and offers plenty of chilling moments, sure to be a hit when adapted into other audiovisual format. ¿De qué viene?

Después de que su escape resultara ser efímero, Lacy, una sofisticada trabajadora sexual con inteligencia artificial, se encuentra nuevamente en el burdel que es el único hogar que ha conocido. Pero su ansia de libertad no se ha extinguido, y esta vez Lacy no tiene la intención de escapar sin más. Va a derribar todo el burdel, derrotar a su autoritario creador, Mister, y descubrir el secreto de Natalie, la joven que ha quedado bajo su cuidado.

Trama 

Lacy esta con Benson en el laboratorio, pero Lacy logra hackear el dron y escapan, para descubrir que hay muchas versiones de Natalie, todas son clones de la esposa muerta de Adam/Mister, él no se conformó con crear a una AI parecida a su esposa cómo es Lacy, necesitaba que fuese humana.

Lacy usa el dron para avisar a las autoridades que Mister ha clonado a una persona y es culpable de asesinatos, por lo que ella, Benson y Natalie se van a vivir como una familia.

Este cómic cierra con un final feliz y un giro de la trama que explica todo.

Arte

Es detallado con texturas que brindan una idea muy vivida de un mundo futurista, para esta entrega el arte se dividió en dos artistas con impronta diferente pero que logran una gran armonía.

What does it come from?

With her escape proving to be short lived, sophisticated A.I. sex worker Lacy finds herself back in the brothel that's the only home she's ever known. But her yearning for freedom has not been extinguished - and this time Lacy doesn't intend to just escape. She's going to bring down the whole brothel, defeat her domineering creator, Mister, and unlock the secret of Natalie, the young girl who has come into her care.

Plot

Lacy is with Benson in the lab, but Lacy manages to hack the drone and they escape, to discover that there are many versions of Natalie, all are clones of Adam/Mister's dead wife, he was not satisfied with creating an AI similar to his wife like Lacy, he needed her to be human. Lacy uses the drone to warn the authorities that Mister has cloned a person and is guilty of murder, so she, Benson and Natalie go to live as a family. This comic closes with a happy ending and a plot twist that explains everything. Art It is detailed with textures that give a very vivid idea of ​​a futuristic world, for this installment the art was divided into two artists with different imprint but who achieve great harmony.
