RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL/INGLÉS DE "WHAT IF…? GALACTUS TRANSFORMED SPIDER-GWEN? #1" CON SPOILERS

 

¿De qué viene?

Después de acudir en ayuda de un heraldo herido de Galactus, SPIDER-GWEN recibe poderes y se alista al servicio del Devorador de Mundos. Pero a pesar de su nuevo papel de vigilante de la galaxia, Gwen no puede evitar su lado heroico. Entonces, cuando se encuentra con un mundo que recuerda a su hogar, ¿se aliará con sus residentes alienígenas e intentará luchar contra una de las mayores fuerzas del cosmos?

Trama

Stardust, el heraldo de Galactus quiere detener que destruyan su propio planeta, Gwen presencia esto y se ofrece como la nueva heralda y empieza su labor dolorosa de escoger el próximo planeta que sera devorado.

Gwen descubre un lugar lleno de magia y fantasía, repleto de dragones y guerreros medievales, donde conoce a un grupo de valientes guerreros, cuyo honor y honestidad la hace crear un plan para repeler el ataque de Galactus.  

Esta entrega final ofrece una visión diferente de lo ocurrido pero a diferencia de las entregas anteriores introduce al personaje que será heraldo en unas condiciones muy diferentes a las que está acostumbrado y termina sintiéndose apresurada su aventura, es decir, Gwen es una heroína que lucha con crimen callejero como Spider-man, esto fue un viaje totalmente fuera de lo se conoce y aprecia de este personaje, es sin duda un cómic confuso.

Posee muchas texturas y logra secuencias interesantes de fantasía.

What does it come from?

After coming to the aid of a wounded herald of Galactus, SPIDER-GWEN is empowered and enlisted in the service of the World-Devourer! But despite her new role surveying the galaxy, Gwen can't help her heroic streak. So when she encounters a world reminiscent of her home, will she ally with its alien residents and attempt to battle one of the cosmos' greatest forces?!

Plot

Stardust, the herald of Galactus wants to stop his own planet from being destroyed, Gwen witnesses this and offers herself as the new herald and begins her painful task of choosing the next planet to be devoured.

Gwen discovers a place full of magic and fantasy, full of dragons and medieval warriors, where she meets a group of brave warriors, whose honor and honesty makes her create a plan to repel Galactus' attack.

This final installment offers a different view of what happened but unlike the previous installments it introduces the character who will be herald in very different conditions than he is used to and ends up feeling rushed, that is, Gwen is a heroine who fights street crime like Spider-man, this was a journey totally outside of what is known and appreciated about this character, it is undoubtedly a confusing comic.

It has many textures and achieves interesting fantasy sequences.

This exciting new era for the character will be penned by rising star writer Stephanie Phillips (Capwolf & the Howling Commandos) and drawn by newcomer Federica Mancin, last year’s Marvel Art Atelier Challenge winner who made her acclaimed debut in Miles Morales: Spider-Man.

"Right after I started working on this new Spider-Gwen ongoing, I saw a little girl on Halloween dressed as Gwen and hitting some cool spidey poses,” Phillips shared. “It was kind of a surreal moment to realize that I get to be a part of Gwen's next big chapter, bringing her into the 616 and giving readers stories that make us rethink who Gwen is and what her role is within this new universe. I'm also working on this story with the incredible Chris Campana, a great collaborator and friend, and I truly believe this is one of the most special books I've been a part of."

 

“Stephanie’s writing allows for a ton of artistic freedom, while providing a great framework to work inside of,” Campana added. “I was onboard the moment I heard she was attached.”

¡Serie limitada SMASH y reveló un one-shot de GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-GWEN disponible en marzo! GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-GWEN #1 será parte de la celebración del 50 aniversario del próximo año de la narración épica de Giant-Size de la década de 1970, hogar de algunas de las historias más fundamentales y trascendentales de los mitos de Marvel.

Comic Con, writer Melissa Flores spoke to Marvel Comics Director of Talent Relations, Rickey Purdin, about her upcoming SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH limited series and revealed a GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-GWEN one-shot coming in March! GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-GWEN #1 will be part of next year’s 50^th anniversary celebration of the epic Giant-Size storytelling of 1970s, home to some of the most pivotal and earth-shattering tales of the Marvel mythos! The issue will follow January’s GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN #1 by Cody Ziglar and Iban Coello, and February’s GIANT-SIZE FANTASTIC FOUR #1 by Fabian Nicieza and Creees Lee. Flores will continue to redefine Ghost-Spider’s adventures in her home dimension, this time alongside rising star artist Alba Glez, as the most sinister threats of Earth-65, including a new Doc Ock, join forces to bring down their universe’s greatest super hero! 

 

Swinging from the pages of SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH, Gwen Stacy has finally found some balance in her home dimension. But when the remnants of the Carnage symbiote resurface in Gwen’s bandmate Mary Jane, they attract the attention of something…sinister. Orlando Octavius, the adopted son of Dr. Octopus, now has his sights set on MJ. And Spider-Gwen will have to save her friend from a gauntlet of new and terrifying villains in this oversized spectacular!

 

"Helping Gwen Stacy settle into her home dimension in SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH was an incredible pleasure,” Flores shared. “Being given the opportunity to continue to develop those relationships in this one-shot was an unexpected jolt of euphoria that I never saw coming. I wasn't ready to leave Gwen or Earth-65 behind, and I'm so thankful that now I don't have to!"

 

Like all of next year’s GIANT-SIZE installments, GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-GWEN #1 will boast a cover by superstar artist Bryan Hitch and reprint a classic adventure of its titular star, SPIDER-GWEN #13 (2015), in which Gwen and the Mary Janes first face off against Earth-65’s Mysterio! Spider-Gwen’s next era begins this December in Melissa Flores and Enid Balám’s SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH!

 

New York, NY— August 22, 2023 — This December, get caught in the twisted web of Earth-65’s Gwen Stacy in an all-new SPIDER-GWEN limited series! Announced last month at San Diego Comic-Con, the newly titled SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH will be written by Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Women of Marvel) and drawn by Enid Balám (Kate Bishop: Hawkeye).  One of the Spider-Verse’s biggest stars, Gwen Stacy, the super hero known as Ghost-Spider, will return to her native dimension for an action-packed music tour gone wrong! On the road, Gwen and fans alike will meet awesome new Earth-65 versions of popular heroes including music legends Dazzler and Lila Cheney, encounter deadly new villains, and more!

 

The Mary Janes are off on a four-city tour as the opening act to one of Earth-65’s biggest rock bands! Gwen has promised the band that this big break will be all about the music. No web-slinging, just drums. But when a mysterious assassin targets the headliner, Gwen begins to wonder how she got this gig in the first place.
