¿De qué viene?

La investigadora Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) obtiene su propia serie en este misterio de asesinato con un toque ocultismo.

Un misterioso de asesinato en una habitación cerrada desconcierta a la detective paranormal Sarah Jewell y a su socia Marie Therese cuando un viaje de fin de semana a una isla privada frente a la costa de Washington se complica. Atrapada por una tormenta y rodeado de una miríada de sospechosos que se han reunido para una subasta de artículos ocultos, el intrépido dúo debe desentrañar los misterios sobrenaturales que rodean a los invitados con la esperanza de descubrir al asesino. Pero todo el tiempo, los cuerpos se siguen amontonando, ¡y en cualquier momento Sarah o Marie Therese podrían ser las siguientes!

Mike Mignola y Chris Roberson regresan al mundo de Hellboy, acompañados por la artista Leila del Duca y la colorista Michelle Madsen.

Trama

Sarah Jewell y a su socia Marie Therese empieza conseguir pistas de que este caso involucra algo paranormal, la muerte de Konrad Eckhart, aviva el misterio, mientras hablan con la viuda de Arlen, quien les cuenta que su esposo de joven logró amasar fortuna por tomar decisiones financieras con mucha exactitud, supuestamente estas decisiones las hacía tener la suerte de un niño.

Pero lo raro es que Arlen luego de amasar la fortuna se obsesionó con coleccionar reliquias de ocultismo y gasto toda su fortuna en construir esa casa en su isla y colocar todas las reliquias.

Sarah habla con la pareja de esposos Mr Mackerrell y Miss Loveland, ya que ambos discuten porque Loveland intenta convencerlo que existe una presencia maligna entre ellos y que la sintió al llegar.

Marie Therese por otro lado descubre que el Doctor Caliban practica rituales vudú, pero ninguno de ellos es culpable porque en ese momento Mr Mackerrell aparece muerto y lo consiguió su esposa.

Este cómic se pone cada vez más interesante e intenso mientras se descubre el asesino y sus motivos.

Arte

Todo el cómic presenta la atmósfera y tono perfecto para esta historia de suspenso y terror, sumado a la magnífica representación de los vestuarios y arquitectura de la época.

Resumen

El misterio se complica cuando descubren un elemento paranormal en los asesinatos.

What does it come from?

Investigator Sarah Jewell (Rise of the Black Flame, Witchfinder: The Reign of Darkness) gets her own series in this murder mystery with an occult twist.

A locked-room murder mystery puzzles paranormal detective Sarah Jewell and her associate Marie Therese when a weekend trip on a private island off the coast of Washington goes astray. Trapped by a storm and surrounded by myriad suspects who have gathered for an auction of occult items, the intrepid duo must unravel the supernatural mysteries surrounding the guests in hopes of uncovering the murderer! But all the while, bodies keep piling up, and at any moment Sarah or Marie Therese could be next!

Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson return to the world of Hellboy, accompanied by artist Leila del Duca and colorist Michelle Madsen.

Plot

Sarah Jewell and her partner Marie Therese begin to get clues that this case involves something paranormal and the death of Konrad Eckhart, fuels the mystery, while they talk with Arlen's widow, who tells them that her young husband managed to amass a fortune by making decisions financially exact, supposedly these decisions made with "the luck of a child".

But the strange thing is that Arlen after amassing his fortune became obsessed with collecting occult relics and spent all his fortune to build that house on his island and place all the relics.

Sarah talks to the married couple Mr Mackerrell and Miss Loveland, as they argue because Loveland tries to convince him that there is an evil presence between them and that he sensed it upon arrival.

Marie Therese on the other hand discovers that Doctor Caliban practices voodoo rituals, but none of them is guilty because at that moment Mr Mackerrell appears dead and his wife found him.

This comic gets more and more interesting and intense as the murderer and his motives are discovered.

Art
The entire comic presents the perfect atmosphere and tone for this story of suspense and terror, added to the magnificent representation of the costumes and architecture of the time.
