Este verano, la leyenda del cómic Mike Mignola se reúne con el aclamado guionista y creador de iZombie, Chris Roberson, y el popular dibujante Christopher Mitten para presentar a los lectores The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas, una miniserie de cuatro números del Universo Hellboy que presenta a la agencia secreta de la Reina Victoria con personajes de Witchfinder y Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club. Escrita por Mignola y Roberson, con arte de Mitten, color de Michelle Madsen y rotulación de Clem Robins, los cuatro números contarán con portadas de Christopher Mitten.
«Mucho antes de que Hellboy y la B.P.R.D. defendieran al mundo de amenazas sobrenaturales de todo tipo, los hombres y mujeres de la Fundición protegían el Imperio de la Reina Victoria», explica el guionista Chris Roberson. «Pero los agentes de la Fundición eran aventureros y exploradores sin interés por lo paranormal ni lo oculto, interesados únicamente en las aplicaciones científicas de los artefactos que desenterraban sus expediciones o en las maravillas de la ingeniería que podían crearse a partir de antiguos descubrimientos. En La Fundición: En Peligro en los Mares, el Mayor Karam Singh y sus compañeros de la Fundición parten en busca de una amenaza desconocida que parece poner en peligro tanto a enemigos como a aliados, sin saber si persiguen a algún tipo de monstruo o a algo mucho peor».
Tras Panya: La Maldición de la Momia (2023), de Roberson y Mitten, los creadores vuelven a adentrarse en la rica historia del Universo Hellboy. Presentando la agencia secreta de la Reina de Inglaterra, que apareció por primera vez en Witchfinder: The Gates of Heaven de Mignola, Roberson y el artista D'Israeli, The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas sigue al equipo mientras viajan por el mundo en busca de tecnologías con poderes sobrenaturales y las historias de las civilizaciones que las dominaron, tanto para el bien como para el mal.

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (April 17, 2026)—This Summer, Comics Legend Mike Mignola is reuniting with acclaimed writer and iZombie creator Chris Roberson and fan-favorite artist Christopher Mitten to introduce readers to The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas, a Hellboy Universe 4-issue mini-series featuring Queen Victoria’s secret agency with characters from Witchfinder and Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club. Written by Mignola and Roberson, with art from Mitten, colors by Michelle Madsen, and letters by Clem Robins, all four issues will feature covers by Christopher Mitten.
