¿De qué viene?
¡LOS ULTIMATES VUELVEN A LA GRANDEZA! A partir de ULTIMATE UNIVERSE #1 de Jonathan Hickman y Stefano Caselli, las estrellas en ascenso Deniz Camp (CHILDREN OF THE VAULT, 20th Century Men) y Juan Frigeri (INVINCIBLE IRON MAN) reúnen un nuevo equipo de ULTIMATES en una serie que inicia la próximo capítulo de la nueva línea Ultimate.
Hace seis meses, Tony Stark le envió a Peter Parker una araña radiactiva para que volviera a encaminarse hacia Spider-Man. Desde entonces, Iron Lad (Stark), el Capitán América, Doom, Thor y Sif han comenzado a hacer lo mismo por otros héroes perdidos, construyendo una red de héroes con superpoderes hambrientos de cambio... Ahora deben unirse para destruir el Consejo de los Creadores. ¡Y restaurar la libertad y el libre albedrío en un mundo gobernado desde las sombras!
Trama
Tony Stark/Iron Lad,Reed Richards/Doctor Doom, Sif y Thor viajaron seis meses en el futuro en el momento del ataque de Nueva York, por eso su desaparición repentina.
Tony y Doom lograron descongelar a Capitán América, mientras ayudan a que Thor cure sus heridas mágicas y recupere su fuerza. Tony Strak es muy joven , por lo que su impulsividad es hilarante y de adolescente. Doom por otro lado no parece perder la calma, pero sus intenciones no son claras a veces.
Iron Lad y Doctor Doom controlan la Immortus Engine de The Maker y pueden viajar en el tiempo, por lo que se ponen fecha límite de 18 meses para hacer que este mundo alterno sea como debió ser sin la interferencia de The Maker.
Usando matemáticas avanzadas y algoritmos, Stark y Doom seleccionan las mejores personas para tomar el manto de los héroes que no existen, dejando a un lado a aquellas personas que deberían haber sido héroes, Capitan America les advierte que un héroe nace, no es creado.
El plan de viajar en el tiempo falla, por lo que el nuevo plan es buscar a todo aquel héroe que nunca fue, comienzan con Janet Van Dyne y Hank Pym, ambos se convierten en Wasp y Giant Man. Las partículas Pym en este universo hicieron de Hank un supergigante que con solo una pisada venció a todo el ejectico de mostos de Captain Britain. Recordemos que Captain Britain formaba parte de la élite de superhumanos que trabajaban para The Maker.
Si los héroes están predestinados a ser una constante multiversal, también los villanos, ¿será que Doctor Doom reclamara su legado o reclamara el legado de Reed Richards?
Los Ultimates regresan, sin embargo como están liderados por Iron Lad, son calificados de terroristas.
Espectacular inicio de una nueva saga.
Arte
Es muy detallado con fuertes influencias del arte asiatico/manga pero perfectamente adaptadas al cómic occidental.
Resumen
Los héroes nacen, solo necesitan un empujón,Tony Stark y Doctor Doom están listos para crear la alineación de héroes que este universo ultimate le fue negado.

Spinning out of Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli's ULTIMATE UNIVERSE #1, rising stars Deniz Camp (CHILDREN OF THE VAULT, 20th Century Men) and Juan Frigeri (INVINCIBLE IRON MAN) assemble an all-new team of ULTIMATES in a series that kicks off the next chapter of the new Ultimate line. Six months ago, Tony Stark sent Peter Parker a radioactive spider to set him back on the course to become Spider-Man. Since then, Iron Lad (Stark), Captain America, Doom, Thor and Sif have begun to do the same for other lost heroes, building a network of super-powered heroes hungry for change… Now they must band together to destroy the Maker's Council and restore freedom and free will to a world ruled from the shadows!
Plot
Tony Stark/Iron Lad, Reed Richards/Doctor Doom, Sif and Thor traveled six months in the future at the time of the New York attack, hence their sudden disappearance.
Tony and Doom managed to unfreeze Captain America, while helping Thor heal his magical wounds and regain his strength. Tony Strak is very young, so his impulsiveness is hilarious and adolescent. Doom on the other hand doesn't seem to lose his cool, but his intentions are unclear at times.
Iron Lad and Doctor Doom control The Maker's Immortus Engine and can travel through time, so they give themselves an 18-month deadline to make this alternate world the way it should have been without The Maker's interference.
Using advanced mathematics and algorithms, Stark and Doom select the best people to take up the mantle of heroes who don't exist. Leaving aside those people who should have been heroes, Captain America warns them that a hero is born, not created.
The time travel plan fails, so the new plan is to look for all that hero that never was, they start with Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym, both become Wasp and Giant Man. The Pym particles in this universe made Hank, a supergiant who with just one step defeated Captain Britain's entire army of musts. Let's remember that Captain Britain was part of the elite of superhumans who worked for The Maker.
If heroes are predestined to be a multiversal constant, so are villains, will Doctor Doom claim his legacy or claim Reed Richards' legacy?
The Ultimates return, however as they are led by Iron Lad, they are branded terrorists.
Spectacular start to a new saga.
Art
It is very detailed with strong influences from Asian art/manga but perfectly adapted to Western comics.
Summary
Heroes are born, they just need a push, Tony Stark and Doctor Doom are ready to create the lineup of heroes that this ultimate universe was denied
