LOS ANGELES, CA (June 28, 2024) – Ghost Machine announced today that renowned inkers Andrew Currie and Danny Miki will be working exclusively for the company going forward. Veteran designer Steve Blackwell has also joined Ghost Machine on an exclusive basis. They join the groundbreaking creator collective led by a global best-of-class lineup of artists and writers whose award-winning and iconic works include a who’s who of comic book legends such as Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Aquaman, Stargirl, JSA, The Flash, The Ultimates, Black Lightning, Green Arrow and countless more: Brad Anderson, Jason Fabok, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Geoff Johns, Rob Leigh, Lamont Magee, Francis Manapul, Brad Meltzer, Ivan Reis, Peter Snejbjerg, Peter J. Tomasi, and Maytal Zchut. In an industry first, all of Ghost Machine’s creators jointly own and run the company, sharing in all of Ghost Machine’s publishing, media, merchandising and licensing. Currie has been inking the alternate history adventure-fantasy REDCOAT, which launched in April of this year as part of Ghost Machine’s hugely popular The Unnamed Universe, from Geoff Johns and Bryan Hitch with colors by Brad Anderson and lettered by Rob Leigh. One of the most respected and influential artists working in comics, Currie is known for his extensive experience and adaptability. Following stints for independents and Games Workshop, Currie quickly made a name for himself inking for major publishers Marvel and DC, as well as Dark Horse, 2000 A.D. and IDW. At Marvel, Currie notably began his longtime collaboration with Hitch on The Ultimates, which led to numerous subsequent projects. Currie has also worked alongside distinguished artists like Neal Adams and Dougie Braithwaite.
Miki is currently handling inking duties for Ghost Machine’s hotly anticipated horror-themed universe HYDE STREET from Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis with colors by Brad Anderson and lettered by Rob Leigh, to be published later this year. Miki established himself as one of the pre-eminent inkers of the past three decades, beginning with Image Comic’s flagship Youngblood from Rob Liefelds among other titles. This led to work on Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, Curse of the Spawn and The Creech with Greg Capullo before Miki’s Marvel career launched with various covers over Joe Quesada and inking Ghost Rider full-time. He inked almost every main character in the Marvel universe, including David Finch’s Moon Knight, Avengers and New Avengers.
