¿De qué viene?
La vida de PETER PARKER ha sido peor. Tiene un trabajo estable. BLACK CAT le está dando su tiempo otra vez. Como SPIDER-MAN, Peter ha recibido golpes superpoderosos. Pero nunca ha visto el INFIERNO que le espera.
Trama
Peter se encuentra en un estado de felicidad que había olvidado que podía vivir, su relación con su tía May mejoró, su trabajo en RAND ENTERPRISES está súper estable hasta con posibilidades de ascenso, su relación con la enfermera Shay parece avanza y su mayor enemigo Norman Osborn es ahora su mentor y posiblemente mejor amigo.
Pero como siempre, la vida de Peter poco a poco se empieza a derrumbar.
Su su jefa le ofrece que tome lugar de ella durante su ausencia, es decir, por un tiempo limitado, como una especia de prueba, pero si no cumple con su trabajo el ascenso se puede transformar en despido, la presión aumenta.
Tombstone le hace una visita a Peter pidiéndole ayuda al Hombre Araña para solucionar una situación de unos robos. Peter desconfía si esto es una trampa, o de verdad la situación de crimen está superando las habilidades de Tombstone.
La cita con Shey termina siendo un simple saludo, Shey le revela que ella necesita de Peter más estabilidad, por lo tanto no son exclusivos y va a seguir saliendo con otras personas.
Black Cat aparece de la nada justamente cuando Peter se siente solo y tienen una cita que consiste atacar a los criminales que Tombstone le advirtió....pero en este momento apee el próximo nuevo villano llamada HELLGATE!.
Arte
John Romita Jr logra ese tono tétrico y lúgubre de esta situación y lo incorpora al lenguaje corporal único que le otorga a Spider-man con su arte. Es un privilegio leer cómics ilustrados por esta leyenda que siempre evoluciona en usarte. JRJR siempre muestra una o varias páginas splash que definen el cómic. Las páginas Splash invertidas son un toque retro espectacular.
Este cómic es una obra de arte, donde el dinamismo es hipnotizante.

What does it come from?
HELLGATE'S OPENING…PUNCH! PETER PARKER's life has been worse. He's got a steady job. BLACK CAT is giving him the time of day again. As SPIDER-MAN, Peter's taken some super-powered punches. But he's never caught the kind of HELL that's in store for him next.
Plot
Peter finds himself in a state of happiness he'd forgotten he could experience. His relationship with his Aunt May has improved, his job at RAND ENTERPRISES is incredibly stable, even with the possibility of a promotion, his relationship with Nurse Shay seems to be progressing, and his greatest enemy, Norman Osborn, is now his mentor and possibly best friend.
But as always, Peter's life slowly begins to fall apart.
His boss offers him a place to take her place during her absence, for a limited time, as a kind of trial. If he doesn't do his job, the promotion could turn into a dismissal, and the pressure mounts.
Tombstone pays Peter a visit, asking Spider-Man for help in solving a robbery situation. Peter is suspicious whether this is a trap, or whether the crime situation is truly beyond Tombstone's abilities.
The date with Shey ends up being a simple greeting. Shey reveals that she needs more stability with Peter, so they aren't exclusive and she'll continue dating other people.
Black Cat appears out of nowhere just when Peter is feeling lonely, and they have a date that involves attacking the criminals Tombstone warned him about... but at this moment, the next new villain called HELLGATE appears!
Art
John Romita Jr. achieves the gloomy and somber tone of this situation and incorporates it into the unique body language he gives Spider-Man with his art. It's a privilege to read comics illustrated by this legend who always evolves in his use of you. JRJR always shows one or more splash pages that define the comic. The inverted splash pages are a spectacular retro touch.
This comic is a work of art, where the dynamism is mesmerizing.
Summary
Peter Parker feels that his life is starting to get complicated when a very powerful new opponent appears... HELLGATE.
