Dark Horse Comics, acclaimed Helen of Wyndhorn and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer Tom King, and artist Gabriel Hernández Walta (Barbalien: Red Planet, Phantom Road) presents Six of Us, a brutal Hollywood noir. Joined by colorist Jordie Bellaire (Detective Comics, Assassin’s Apprentice), and letterer Clayton Cowles (Magic: The Gathering: Jace, Batman), this brutal story of grief and lies behind the camera lens arrives in comic shops September 2026.

What does it come from?

Chapter 2: “The Thing About Killing That Guy”

Before the funeral, before the reunion, before the fall—there was a hit sitcom.

America loved The Six of Us. Six young stars. Endless laughs. Perfect chemistry. But behind the scenes, a different story was unfolding.

Told between the bright glow of a ‘90s laugh track and the darkness just off-camera, this issue reveals the moment the cast crossed a line they can’t undo.

Seven-issue series.

Plot
In the mid-1990s, *SIX OF US*—a sitcom featuring three men and three women—premiered. Young, attractive, and charismatic, the cast quickly captivated audiences. The main ensemble consisted of Gil (Liam), Cristina (Melody), Raphael (Alan), Hanna (Lauren), Selina (Brook), and Timothy (Taylor), each defined by a unique and complementary personality.

The story begins to reveal that secret relationships and breakups existed among the cast, eventually taking a toll on their group dynamic.

Hanna and Gil had an affair that left Hanna hurt; yet, she went on to achieve the greatest success in projects outside the sitcom, which sparked friction between them.

Tim continues to recount how he ended up dead in an empty swimming pool, revealing that he and Hanna share a dark secret: Hanna murdered the show’s director with an award—resembling an Emmy—and the two covered it up. Later, Tim decided to write a screenplay based on this tragedy.

Bit by bit, the complex web of secrets among the cast is unveiled.

Tom King delivers a narrative that will feel instantly familiar to those who grew up with classics like *FRIENDS* or *HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER*. Through nods and parallels that tap into the reader’s nostalgia, the plot takes a dark turn into the realm of noir, detective mystery, and crime.

Art
With an organic, texture-rich style, the visual approach evokes a 1990s retro aesthetic while crafting unsettling sequences that keep the reader hooked on every page.

Summary
Tim and Hanna share a dangerous secret, and jealousies among the cast begin to fester
