REVIEW IN ENGLISH
with spoilers:

Portada alterna arte de Mike Mignola

Legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola revisits one of the most iconic chapters in Hellboy history with a new two-issue event: Hellboy in Hell: Nothing But Blood. Mignola teams up with acclaimed international artist Cyrille Pomès (Moon, 6,000 Miles to Freedom)—making his Hellboy Universe debut—to chronicle a demonic rebellion in the underworld.

What does it come from?

Hellboy steps in to save a young woman being chased by winged beasts deep in Hell in the midst of an uprising against the most powerful demons. But nothing—and no one—are what they seem to be.

Mike Mignola is joined by artist Cyrille Pomès (Moon, 6,000 Miles to Freedom), colorist Dave Stewart, and letterer Clem Robins for this misadventure in Pandemonium set after the events of Hellboy in Hell #8: “The Hounds of Pluto” Part Two.

Two-issue arc.

Plot
This story is set within the Hellboy in Hell saga, where Hellboy—despite already being dead—must survive the perils lurking in this realm.

A mysterious woman cries out for help while under attack by demons; Hellboy comes to her aid, only for her to suddenly kill one of the demons in cold blood—revealing she is not quite as helpless as she seemed.

She invites Hellboy for a drink at an abandoned house, where an old woman warns him that his companion is actually an evil being. The demons had fled because they were terrified of Hellboy; seeing this fear, their own slaves had turned on them and were slaughtering them. It is at this moment that the seemingly vulnerable woman reveals her true monstrous nature.

This is an excellent installment from Hellboy’s dark era, featuring all the elements that make these comics so brilliant: suspense, horror, mystery, and Hellboy’s own profound guilelessness.

Art
The highly detailed artwork creates a spectacular, somber tone that heightens the horror and captures the classic Hellboy atmosphere while adding a unique stylistic touch.

Summary
Hellboy’s altruism once again lands him in a perilous situation within the most dangerous place in the cosmos.
