Trama

Plot

Trama

The country is becoming "civilized," and yet, in one stretch of the Rocky Mountains, a terrifying, new kind of violence is suddenly emerging. Random killings. People going mad and murdering neighbors, classmates without real cause. Plot

Will, Mabel and Dr Edwards go to the mine to use a device called Sonotron, which sends a wave towards the ground and when they return they can measure geological densities. But when they start using it they are attacked by the PAIUTE tribe, their leader Wovoka warns them that those soils are cursed.

Edwards loses an eye in the altercation and shows Mabel and Will what the Sonotron recorded, it looks like cries for help from the people who were trapped in the Old Canary mine 7 years ago, which is impossible.

Mabel confronts Mayor Kedrick, she knows that her father and the mayor had a business and takes Will and Edwards to house 1018 at the top of the mountain where the mine is, in this place they begin to review a series of documents where the Mabel's father and his associates were excavating the mine in one of the 6 supposed marks on the planet that contain caves that defy all laws of physics, like portals to another world. The house starts to burn down by order of the Mayor.

On the other hand, they manage to get Thomas out, one of those who was trapped in the mine for years, but he is not Thomas, he is a being from another world with a thirst for blood.

This comic is intense, mixing the genres of western and detective noir, with touches of supernatural horror that will give you chills. Snyder's narrative has an accelerated and precise pace, where all the details are key.

It is magnificent, full of textures and strokes that offer dynamism in a gloomy tone supported by a spectacular color palette that exacerbates the drama of this addictive story.

Trama

El reconocido Marshal William Holt es enviado a investigar un asesinato extraño, una maestra es apuñalada por uno de sus estudiantes Johnny Apple, a quien conisideran todos un nivo ejemplar de buen coportamiento. Holt lo confronta y ve a primera vista como este niño realizo este asesinato sin remordimientos. Johnny Apple se entrega con la condición de que Holt siembre un misterioso huevo. La mirada punzante y actitud psicopática de este niño es espeluznante y al parecer lleva ocurriendo desde hace un mes.

Marshal Holt es un personaje conocido por su eficiencia y es una especie de justiciero, conodico por usar una mascara con un ataud dibujado de color blanco.

El jefe de Holt, Crenny, le ordena buscar a un geólogo llamado Ed Edwards quien tiene una teoría sobre lo que ocurre, lo vincula a los posibles minerales dentro de la mina de Old Canary puedan estar contaminando las aguas de alrededores y causando esta histeria misteriosa.

Holt se consigue con Edwards y ambos son abordados por el Alcalde Kedrick quien quiere minimizar la situación que ocurre para no espantar a los turistas.

Holt y Edwards se alojan en una posada donde es dueña Mabel Warren, hija del fallecido dueño de la mina Old Canary, ella los mandó a buscar porque necesita saber lo que ocurre, ya que ella ha intentado toda su vida resarcir el daño hecho por su padre.

La historia muestra un flashback de un asesino llamado Hyrum que Holt atrapó en 1883, pero ese encuentro dejó traumado a este poderoso Marshal.

Plot

This story is set in 1891, in the territory of UTAH in the USA, when the gold and mining rush was dying, but the American Wild West and its cruelty was in full swing. For six months, cruel murders have been occurring, committed by peaceful people towards their neighbors and their own family members. All of this occurs around the Old Canary Mine, a mine that collapsed years ago, burying forty people.

The renowned Marshal William Holt is sent to investigate a strange murder, a teacher is stabbed by one of her students Johnny Apple, whom everyone considers an exemplary child of good behavior. Holt confronts him and sees at first glance how this boy carried out this murder without remorse. Johnny Apple turns himself in on the condition that Holt plants a mysterious egg. This child's piercing gaze and psychopathic attitude is creepy and has apparently been going on for a month.

Marshal Holt is a character known for his efficiency and is a kind of vigilante, known for wearing a mask with a white coffin drawn on it.

Holt's boss, Crenny, orders him to find a geologist named Ed Edwards who has a theory about what is happening, linking it to possible minerals within the Old Canary mine that could be contaminating the surrounding waters and causing this mysterious hysteria. .

Holt meets Edwards and both are approached by Mayor Kedrick who wants to minimize the situation that occurs so as not to scare away the tourists.

Holt and Edwards stay at an inn owned by Mabel Warren, daughter of the deceased owner of the Old Canary mine. She sent them to look for them because she needs to know what is happening, since she has tried all her life to make up for the damage done by her father.

The story flashes back to an assassin named Hyrum that Holt caught in 1883, but that encounter left this powerful Marshal traumatized.
