RESEÑA DE "SUPERGIRL" LIBRE DE SPOILERS

 

Reseña de SUPERGIRL que Blancica y Warner Pictures Latinoamérica ya estrenaron en cines de Venezuela 

Trama

Esta nueva entrega de DC Studios ocurre justamente donde termina Superman, introduciendo a Supergirl como una heroína con una actitud más realista y desenfadada que ha vivido una crianza y pérdidas personales diferente a su primo Kal-el.

Con un guion inconsistente, plagado de errores y sumamente predecible, esta película desperdicia por completo la novela gráfica de Tom King y Bilquis Evely, cuyo importante mensaje de empoderamiento femenino y crítica social del machismo se perdió entre tantas pésimas actuaciones.

La presencia de Lobo fue interesante y divertida, pero totalmente innecesaria. Desperdiciaron un excelente personaje que, en última instancia, parece la reencarnación alien de Aquaman.

Las apariciones de Superman son entretenidas, pero su dinámica con Supergirl no es explicada y al parecer hay como una rivalidad.

Es insoportable ver cómo la trama ilógica y mediocre nos muestra que en el espacio exterior han copiado la cultura humana, desde bolas de discoteca hasta un bar con un alienígena cantando "La Garota de Ipanema", y numerosos chistes humanos como la palabra "touche".

Todo se siente forzado y dolorosamente ilógico. Fracasa en ser una "ópera espacial" que copia la estética de Guardianes de la Galaxia pero termina siendo una versión de Temu. También tiene un tono a lo Mad Max, que además es una mala imitación.

La mezcla de idiomas es incoherente; hablan inglés en el espacio, pero luego hablan kryptoniano: un auténtico desastre.

Lo único rescatable son la fotografía y los paisajes naturales, así como la adaptación de secuencias del cómic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow para los fans que la han leído.

Resulta agotador ver cómo DC Studios sigue haciendo lo mismo que el DCU, un éxito seguido de un fracaso total.

Un intento de hacer una Space Opera con super héroes fracasa por un guion inconsistente/ilógico y actuaciones acartonadas, es una decepción luego de lograr una obra maestra como lo fue Superman

Sinopsis

“Supergirl”, la nueva película de DC Studios que aterriza en la pantalla grande, se estrenará en cines de todo el mundo en junio, de la mano de Warner Bros. Pictures. La película está protagonizada por Milly Alcock en el doble papel de Supergirl / Kara Zor-El y dirigida por Craig Gillespie, a partir de un guión de Ana Nogueira. Cuando un enemigo inesperado y despiadado golpea demasiado cerca, Kara Zor-El, también conocida como Supergirl, se ve obligada a unir fuerzas con un acompañante improbable en un épico viaje interestelar de venganza y justicia.

Alcock comparte elenco con Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham y Jason Momoa. La película es producida por los co-directores de DC Studios, Peter Safran y James Gunn, y está basada en personajes de DC. Supergirl se basa en los personajes creados por Jerry Siegel y Joe Shuster.

La producción ejecutiva está a cargo de Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo y Lars P. Winther. Detrás de cámara, Gillespie trabaja junto al director de fotografía Rob Hardy, el diseñador de producción Neil Lamont, la editora Tatiana S. Riegel, la diseñadora de vestuario Anna B. Sobrecubierta (dust jackets)

Nacido en Castilla-La Mancha (1981), Bruno Redondo comenzó su carrera profesional en 2003, donde dibujó la miniserie Wendal, publicada por Dolmen Editorial. La serie, compuesta por cuatro números, quedó inconclusa ya que solo se 3 llegaron a ver la luz, a pesar de que el cuarto estaba dibujado en su totalidad.

Después de este bautizo en el arte secuencial, se muda a Barcelona donde trabaja para Estudio Fénix durante dos años. En este tiempo, compatibiliza este trabajo con la docencia, impartiendo clase de cómic en la prestigiosa Escola Joso y en la Escola Fem Art. Su talento como dibujante hace que llegue a dibujar series como Galactik Footbal, publicación incluida dentro de la revista del canal Yetix, el álbum Tras los pasos del de la triste figura, una novela gráfica editada en 2007 por el Patronato de Cultura de Alcázar de San Juan, y otras obras más cercanas a su línea de producción actual como Push (2008-2009), Red Special: Joe (2010) o Human Target (2010).

Desde el año 2013, su carrera coge un impulso que todavía hoy le dura, dedicándose de lleno al género de superhéroes, concretamente en el sello DC Cómics. Primero encargándose de  Injustice. God among us: año uno, serie para la que dibuja casi 50 números, Bruno Redondo pasará por series como Red (2016), Superman (2016), Sociedad de Tierra 2 (2017) o Liga de la Justicia (2019), entre otros. En medio de este maratón de licras ajustada y antifaces que ya dura 6 años, saca un momento para dibujar el cómic Darth Maul.

Entrevista traducida del inglés: 

1. Aunque este proyecto aún no está impreso, estando tan cerca de lograrlo, como artista, ¿qué se siente al ver tu espectacular trabajo resumido de esta manera?

Lo siento como un reconocimiento, lo cual es sumamente halagador. No soy muy bueno para sentirme halagado, pero intento mantener la calma :)

2. Como artista, ¿trabajas solo digitalmente o también de forma tradicional con papel y lápiz?

Trabajo principalmente en digital, pero estoy trabajando en las portadas en papel para mantener el contacto con el trabajo físico (porque incluso en mi entintado digital, tengo la regla de no hacer nada que no pudiera replicar trabajando en papel).

3. ¿Alguna vez has escuchado recomendaciones de artistas de cómics sobre cómo guardar tu arte de forma inteligente, conservando siempre esas páginas de momentos importantes de los cómics que has creado para poder venderlas en el futuro? ¿Algo así como asegurar tu futuro financiero?

Bueno, hay diferentes teorías entre mis colegas, así que hay diferentes estrategias al respecto. Probablemente no sea el más hábil para gestionar esto, pero mi estrategia futura se basa más en la supervivencia a largo plazo de los trabajos que acepto. ¡Ya veremos qué pasa!

4. Tu trabajo en Nightwing e Injustice: Among Us es uno de los más venerados, por razones obvias. Cuando trabajaste en estos proyectos, ¿pensaste que influirían tanto en el género y se convertirían en una referencia e inspiración para las nuevas generaciones?

En Injustice no tuve tanto éxito, pero eso se debe principalmente a lo brillante que fue el guion de Tom. En cuanto a Nightwing, tenía mi estrategia y mis ideas, pero nunca pensé que llegaría a ser lo que fue, la verdad, que ha sido una experiencia increíble… Los comentarios de los lectores han sido especialmente importantes para mí.

5. ¿Has considerado más proyectos como estos con Clover Press en Kickstarter? Actualmente, The DC Art of Bruno Redondo es un gran éxito en Kickstarter, habiendo recaudado más de 200 veces su objetivo y alcanzando el merecido estatus de PROYECTOS QUE NOS ENCANTAN en la plataforma.

Si tenemos alguna otra idea, me apunto sin dudarlo, pero la verdad es que me dieron la oportunidad de plasmar todas mis ideas restantes de una vez, y es curioso, porque antes de hablar con ellos, tenían las mismas ideas: las portadas de la serie completa de Nightwing y la edición limitada de Nightwing 87. ¡Estoy muy contento de verla publicada y poder compartirla con todos!

1. Although this project isn't printed yet, being so close to achieving it, as an artist, how does it feel to see your spectacular work summarized in this way?

I feel it as a recognition, which is absolutely flattering. I’m not good at feeling flattered, but I’m trying to keep it cool :)

2. As an artist, do you work only digitally or also in a traditional way with paper and pencil?

I work mostly in digital, but I’m working on the covers on paper to keep in contact with the physical work (because even in my digital inking, I have the rule about not doing anything that I couldn’t replicate working in paper).

3. Have you ever heard recommendations from comic book artists about how to save your art intelligently, always keeping those artwork pages from important moments in the comics you've created so that you can sell them in the future? Something like securing your future financially?

Well, there’s different theories among my colleagues, so there’s different kinds of strategies about that. I’m probably not the most intelligent at managing this, but my future strategy is more based in the long-term survival of the kind of gigs I accept, but let’s see how it goes!

4. Your work on Nightwing and Injustice: Among Us is among the most revered for obvious reasons. When you worked on these projects, did you think they would so greatly influence the genre and become a reference and inspiration for new generations?

In Injustice I wasn’t certainly such a success, but that’s mostly because of how brilliant a script Tom made. About Nightwing, I had my strategy and speculation, but never thought it could become what it was, honestly, which has been an incredible journey… readers' feedback have been especially important for me.

5. Have you considered more projects like these with Clover Press on Kickstarter? Currently, The DC Art of Bruno Redondo is a Kickstarter super hit, having raised over 200 times its goal and achieving the well-deserved PROJECTS WE LOVE status on the platform.

If we have some other idea, I would be absolutely in, but truth is they gave me the chance to do all my remaining ideas at one, and it’s funny, because before talking to them, they had same ideas: The Nightwing full run covers and the Nightwing 87 unfordable print. I’m really happy to see that published and share it with everyone!

Starting in May, pick up new facsimile editions of JLA/AVENGERS #1-4, the celebrated 2003 Marvel/DC crossover series by Kurt Busiek and George Pérez.

 

New York, NY— February 25, 2026 — This summer, Marvel Comics and DC Comics join forces to bring JLA/AVENGERS, the 2003 limited series by legendary creators Kurt Busiek and George Pérez, back to comic shops! The history-making four-issue saga will be boldly re-presented in its original form as new Facsimile Editions with original trade tress and wraparound card stock covers. Marvel Comics will publish JLA/AVENGERS #1 (May) and #3 (July) while DC Comics will publish AVENGERS/JLA #2 (June) and #4 (August). The issues will also feature all-new variant covers.
