Sobre tomar las riendas del equipo insignia de superhéroes de Marvel, Zdarsky comentó: «¡Es un gran honor escribir sobre el mejor equipo de superhéroes del mundo! Y después de lo que sucede en Avengers: Armageddon, este equipo está furioso y listo para vengarse».
