¿De qué viene?

Cuando los astrónomos de Helium detectan que se acerca un ovni, hacen una reunión donde el jefe Jeddak es convencido por su nieta Dejah Thoris de que la deje ir sola al encuentro con esta nave desconocida, como una enviada diplomática ante una situación que puede poner en riesgo a los habitantes de Marte.

¿Qué sucede?

La nave que se estrella proviene del planeta Drakulon, por supuesto es piloteada por Vampirella, quien se encuentra en una misión para conseguir los insumos para poder seguir alimentando a su pueblo, ya que al no tener sangre que beber se desata una ira asesina en los Vampiri, por lo que Helium está por recibir una peligrosa visita.

Dejah Thoris y Vampirella se dirigen a donde esta esta sacerdotisa, mientras todo el ejercito de Hellium se prepara para el inevitable ataque de miles de Vampiris hambrientos de sangre y cegados de ira, una guerra está a punto de empezar.

La invasion de los Draulon llega y Dejah Thoris y Vampirella deben detenerla como de lugar, esto a su vez causa una terrible conmoción política en el trono.


Resumen
Este cómic incluye una interesante aventura donde dos personajes bien distintos logran trabajar en equipo para salvar a sus respectivos mundos.

Dejah Thoris is the princess of the martian city-state / empire of Helium in the series of Martian novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs (Tarzan), while Vampirella (main exponent of the horror and erotic comic) was created by Forrest J. Ackerman, Archie Goodwin with the artist Frank Frazetta, she comes from the extraterrestrial planet Drakulon, where the Vampiri, human race of vampires drank blood from the rivers until their resources ran out.

This graphic novel collects comics from # 1 to # 5.

Where does it come from?

When Helium astronomers detect that a UFO is approaching, they hold a meeting where Chief Jeddak is convinced by his granddaughter Dejah Thoris to let her go alone to meet this unknown ship, as a diplomatic envoy to a situation that can put risk to the inhabitants of Mars.


What's going on?

The ship that crashes comes from the planet Drakulon, of course it is piloted by Vampirella, who is on a mission to get the supplies to continue feeding his people, since having no blood to drink unleashes a murderous rage on the Vampiri, so Helium is about to receive a dangerous visit.

Dejah Thoris and Vampirella are headed to where this priestess is, while the whole Hellium army is preparing for the inevitable attack of thousands of bloodthirsty Vampiris and blinded with anger, a war is about to begin.

The invasion of the Drakulon arrives and Dejah Thoris and Vampirella must stop it as if from place, this in turn causes a terrible political commotion on the throne.



Summary
This comic includes a great adventure where two very different characters manage to work as a team to save their respective worlds.

Dejah Thoris posee un arma psíquica capaz de crear campos de fuerza que podrá mantener a raya a los Drakulon mientras desarrollan la tecnología necesaria para crear sangre del agua, sin embargo descubren que la mayoría de los Drakulon se fueron a la tierra, por lo que la amenaza fue mucho más fácil de detener.

Esta entrega cierra este arco argumental que de caracterizó por un arte prolijo y una historia interesante y violenta, sin embargo el cierre de sintió algo apresurado.

Where does it come from?

In Dejah Thoris / Vampirella #4  arrives the imminent attack from Drakulon, Helium is not yet ready, however Dejah Thoris has a weapon up her sleeve.

What's going on?

Dejah Thoris possesses a psychic weapon capable of creating force fields that will keep the Drakulons at bay while developing the necessary technology to create blood from the water, however they discover that most of the Drakulon went to earth, so the threat was much easier to stop.

This comic closes this story arc that characterized by a neat art and an interesting and violent history, however the closure felt somewhat rushed.

RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL/INGLÉS DE "RED SONJA VOLUME 4 WORLDS AWAY: THE BLADE OF SKATH"

Este cómic muestra la historia de Skath la leyenda viva de un guerrero que cayó en desgracia, Red Sonja va a intentar ayudarlo a regresar. Red Sonja es creada por Robert E. Howard de su universo de guerreros de Cimeria.

Una entrega que eleva a esta heroína femenina en confianza y habilidades.

Este compendio incluye los cómics de Red Sonja del #17 al #20.

¿De qué viene?
Desde el #17 de esta serie luego de la batalla de Kulan Gath, Sonja descubre que la espada que posee tiene una historia, que perteneció al legendario guerrero Skath, imaginando que su dueño podría pagar una buena recompensa, decide ir en su búsqueda. Pero se encuentra con que el castillo de este guerrero y sus pertenencias fueron embargadas por Rusa Sankad, ahora es un antro para la élite, de lo cual Red Sonja no está de acuerdo.



¿Qué sucede?
Sonja se encuentra con Skath, quién narra la historia de su caída en desgracia, de cómo su afán por destruir dragones lo llevó a tener deudas y que el malvado Sankad aprovechó para apropiarse de todo e hizo de este castillo un antro que no beneficia a nadie sola a una élite de Cimeria.



Sonja decide que se va a meter en esta pugna y ayuda a Skath a entrenar y prepararse para un ataque y recuperar su castillo, solo que la leyenda está algo deteriorada, fuera de forma.



Sonja le recuerda a Skath que la gente le recuerda con cariño y le va a ayudar a recuperar lo suyo.

Giro de la trama:
Hay un buen giro cuando las esperanzas en el inminente regreso de Skath como combatiente.

Arte y Trama:
La historia lleva un ritmo dinámico y entretenido, Amy Chu y Erik Burnham nos relatan de manera fluida y jovial todo este esperado encuentro, mientras que el arte de Carlos A. Gómez otorga esa calidez y emoción página a página, con una Red Sonja tan segura como letal y por supuesto muy sexy.




Resumen
Este cómic presenta la esperada reunión entre dos legendarios guerreros, solo que este encuentro termina siendo diferente a lo imaginado por Sonja, el final de este volumen les dejará sin aliento.

An issue that elevates this female heroine in confidence and skills.

This compendium includes the Red Sonja comics from # 17 to # 20.



Where does it come from?

From issue #17 of this series after the battle of Kulan Gath, Sonja discovers that the sword she wield has a story, it belonged to the legendary warrior Skath, imagining that his owner could pay a good reward, she decides to go in his search. But he finds that the castle of this warrior and his belongings were seized by Rusa Sankad, now it is a den for the evil elite, of which Red Sonja does not agree.


What's going on?

Skath tells the story of his fall, how his desire to destroy dragons led him to have debts and that the evil Sankad took the opportunity to appropriate everything and made this castle a den that does not benefit anyone alone an elite of Cimmeria.

Sonja decides that she will get into this fight and helps Skath to train and prepare for an attack and recover her castle, only that the legend is somewhat deteriorated.

Sonja reminds Skath that people remember him fondly and will help him recover his.



Plot's Twists:
There is a good turn when the hopes in the imminent return of Skath. This issue ends with an stunning cliffanger.

Art and Plot:

The story takes a dynamic and entertaining rhythm, Amy Chu and Erik Burnham tell us in a fluid and jovial way all this expected encounter, while the art of Carlos A. Gómez gives that warmth and emotion page by page, with a Red Sonja as confident as lethal, and of course always sexy.



Summary
This issue presents the expected meeting between two legendary warriors, only that this encounter ends up being different from what Sonja imagined, the end of this volume will leave you breathless.

¿De qué viene?

Red Sonja sigue su travesía solitaria por los caminos, en este caso está intentado cazar a una liebre.

Este cómic posee una historia única sin continuación.



¿Qué sucede?

Red Sonja se encuentra con una mujer misteriosa en el camino, justamente cuando no consigue atrapar al conejo que será su cena, sin embargo ella trata de manera altanera a esta señora, le ordena que se aparte del camino.


Lo que Red Sonja desconoce es que es la bruja Salomé, quien le da una lección de humildad al trasladarla a un mundo de pesadillas

Este es un cómic cargado de buenas secuencias de acción mágica, donde por mucho tiempo vemos a Red Sonja en una posición de desventaja.

Red Sonja follows his lonely journey through the roads, in this case he is trying to hunt a hare.

This comic has a unique story without continuation.


What's going on?

Red Sonja meets a mysterious woman on the road, just when she can not catch the rabbit that will be her dinner, but she treats this lady haughtily, orders her to get out of the way.

What Red Sonja does not know is that it is the witch Salome, who gives her a lesson in humility when moving her to a world of nightmares

This is a comic loaded with good sequences of magic action, where for a long time we see Red Sonja in a disadvantaged position.




Summary
Red Sonja will learn manners in the most magical and rude way possible in the hands of Salomé

Red Sonja sigue su travesía solitaria por los caminos, este cómic posee una historia única sin continuación donde esta guerrera salva al músico Tariq de Zembabwei de la muerte, quién la contrata para ir a hacer su última presentación musical en Kambuja.

Esta historia en solitario cierra con broche de oro el excelente trabajo del equipo creativo de Amy Chu Erick Burnham, apoyado por el magnifico artista Carlos Gomez.

En febrero Mark Russel y Mirko Colak asumen las riendas de esta serie.

¿Qué sucede?

Sonja discute sus técnicas de persuasión y manera de proceder violenta con el músico quien explica que su arte es capaz de hacer llorar al más fuerte, ambos discuten mientras se acercan a una travesía en altamar.

El arte de Carlos Gómez es asombroso, destacando la sensualidad de Sonja, logrando así un balance apropiado con su fuerza y habilidades de guerrera apoyado de excelentes secuencias de acción, las historias de Amy y Erick capturan esa magia y misterio perfectamente.


Giro en la trama

Cuando la historia parece predecible todo cambia Taric demuestra el valor de su arte.

Red Sonja continues its lonely journey through the roads, this comic has a unique story without continuation where this warrior saves the musician Tariq from Zembabwei, who hires her to go to make his last musical presentation in Kambuja.

This solo story closes with a flourish the excellent work of the creative team of Amy Chu Erick Burnham, supported by the magnificent artist Carlos Gomez.

In february Mark Russel and Mirko Colak take over the reins of this series.

What's going on?

Sonja discusses her techniques of persuasion and violent way of proceeding with the musician who explains that his art is capable of making the strongest cry, both argue as they approach an offshore crossing.

The art of Carlos Gómez is amazing, highlighting the sensuality of Sonja, thus achieving an appropriate balance with his strength and warrior skills supported by excellent action sequences, the stories of Amy and Erick capture that magic and mystery perfectly.

Plot Twist

When history seems predictable everything changes  when Taric demonstrates the value of his art.




Summary
This comic closes successfully an era of magnificent stories of Amy and Erick, this final number shows the mystery, mysticism and action of this franchise, where the art of killing and music can make a good mix.
