¿Qué sucede?

What does it come from?
In THE DEATH OF NANCY DREW #2 Nancy Joe and Frank are on the trail of the Barber, who will be led by the Union, but a clandestine investigation can be very dangerous.
What's going on?
They confront the Barber, who turned out to be a skilled hitman, who hired him to murder Nancy, cuts off Frank's ear but survives to stay on the trail of this investigation.
The Sindicate's plan involves stopping a negotiation between the Mayor and a Chinese investor who plans to reactivate a plant improving the economy, but this is the responsibility of the mafia.
Nancy discovers that the Barber communicates with Maryanne Bobbsey, the wife of the gangster Robert who ran the Sindicate that Nancy sended to jail, but the complicated thing is that Nancy's father, Carson, has a love relationship with Maryanne.
Summary
Nancy Drew finds out who is behind all this conspiracy, so she prepares a plan to expose her.
