Mattel, Inc. y Dark Horse Comics anunciaron su alianza para lanzamiento de la serie de cuatro cómics “Masters of the Universe: Revelation”. Con cuatro cómics que se lanzarán a partir de julio de 2021 que servirá como una precuela de la próxima serie animada "Masters of the Universe: Revelation" de Netflix y Mattel Televisión que se estrenará el 23 de julio. Esta es la precuela oficial del cómic del próximo programa de televisión de Netflix escrito por los productores ejecutivos Kevin Smith y Rob David y el escritor de episodios Tim Sheridan y con arte de Mindy Lee (Crimson Lotus).

Después de un feroz ataque de Orlax contra su padre, el Rey Randor, He-Man descubre que la criatura está vinculada al origen de la espada del poder. Para salvar a Randor y poner fin al caos, He-Man se embarca en un viaje épico que lo enfrenta a sus viejos enemigos Skeletor y Evil-Lyn, y ve a Teela tomar las riendas de un poderoso legado.

TRAMA

Skeletor casi descubre lo que que quiere decir el monstruo dimensional Orlax, pero mientras esté conectado con Sorceress , Evil-Lyn no puede volver a conectarse. Skeletor está seguro que Orlax conoce los secretos del castillo Greyskull que le puede ayudar a apoderarse de Eternia.

El cómic narra el origen de Skeletor, que proviene del planeta Apollyos, le revela a Evil-Lyn sus verdaderos motivos. Skeletor llevó a acabo una revolución que hizo que los esclavos de Apollyos se liberaran, pero eso le costó la vida de su familia.

Pero aparece Hordak the Conqueror de otro universo y le otorga a Skeletor un gran poder y lo hace su mano derecha para conquistar Apollyos, Hordak proviene del universo e personajes de She-ra.

Hordak le concede el poder a Skeletor para que reviva a uno de sus familiares, su esposa o su hijo, Skeletor escoge su hijo y Hordak se lo quita y se lo va a devolver si conquista a Eternia. 

El cómic cierra con Evil-Lyn comunicándose con Orlax a escondidas, ella quiere el poder del conocimiento.

Este segundo capitulo esta lleno de revelaciones impactantes y  buenos giros, con un ritmo narrativo genial, sin duda es una serie de lectura obligada

ARTE

Destaca el dolor y tragedia de Skeletor, el arte es conmovedor y lleno de detalles y captura la esencia de los minicomics que traina las figuras de acción original y la refresca.

This is the official comic book prequel to the upcoming Netflix television show written by Executive Producers Kevin Smith and Rob David and episode writer Tim Sheridan and featuring art by Mindy Lee (Crimson Lotus). 

Following a vicious Orlax attack on his father King Randor, He-Man learns the creature is linked to the origin of the sword of power. To save Randor and put an end to the chaos, He-Man embarks on an epic journey that pits him against his longtime foes Skeletor and Evil-Lyn, and sees Teela take the reins of a powerful legacy.

PLOT

Skeletor almost found out what he meant by the dimensional monster Orlax, but as long as he is connected to Sorceress, Evil-Lyn cannot reconnect. Skeletor is sure that Orlax knows the secrets of Castle Greyskull that can help him take over Eternia.

The comic tells the origin of Skeletor, who comes from the planet Apollyos, reveals to Evil-Lyn the true motives of her. Skeletor led a revolution that freed Apollyos' slaves, but it cost him the life of his family.

But Hordak the Conqueror appears from another universe and grants Skeletor great power and makes him his right hand to conquer Apollyos, Hordak comes from the universe and characters of She-ra.

Hordak grants Skeletor the power to revive one of his relatives, his wife or his son's, Skeletor chooses his son and Hordak takes it from him and will give it back if he conquers to Eternia.

The comic closes with Evil-Lyn secretly communicating with Orlax, she wants the power of knowledge.

This second chapter is full of shocking revelations and good twists, with a great narrative rhythm, without a doubt it is a must-read series

ART

Highlighting the pain and tragedy of Skeletor, the art is poignant and full of detail, capturing the essence of minicomics that brings the original action figures to life and refreshes it.
