Anunciado a principios de este año en Fan Expo Philadelphia, ¡este otoño se lanzará un nuevo título de AVENGERS que lleva a los lectores directamente a las misiones más impresionantes de los Vengadores!
Un ataque alienígena. Una pieza faltante de la tecnología de agujeros de gusano. Una ciudad deformada, sus ciudadanos transformados en horribles criaturas leales a una emperatriz del otro lado del universo. Y cierta Capitana Marvel, mirando a sus compañeros Vengadores con intenciones asesinas...
“Cuando Tom Brevoort se acercó a mí con este concepto, pensé que era una idea inspirada, una porción de genio creativo, ¡y además totalmente impracticable!”. dijo Landy. “Pero la oportunidad de lanzar un nuevo título de los Vengadores, y la oportunidad de escribir cualquier personaje que alguna vez hubiera SIDO un Vengador, era imposible de resistir para este fanático de Marvel en particular. Agregue el hecho de que Tom quería que Greg Land se dedicara al arte y mi destino estaba prácticamente sellado.
“El truco consistía en trabajar dentro de los límites inherentes al concepto, pero también en encontrar una manera de ofrecer lo que todos esperarían: una continuidad de ideas y el desarrollo de una historia general. Necesitaba encontrar el gancho que arrastrara al lector de un tema a otro, y pensé que la mejor manera de hacerlo era poner a los Vengadores exactamente en la misma situación que el lector: son conscientes de que esto está sucediendo, pero no lo saben. no sé por qué...”
“Después de terminar una buena carrera en la increíble serie de libros Symbiote Spider-Man, no estaba seguro de qué sería lo siguiente. Obtener All-Out sonaba como si fuera bueno, pero me emocioné mucho cuando leí la sinopsis”, agregó Land. “Después de leer el guión de Derek para el n.° 1, supe que iba a ser un proyecto divertido y desafiante. Todos los guiones hasta ahora han estado llenos de escenas interesantes y geniales para nuestra lista cambiante de Vengadores. Abordar cada problema en el medio de la acción es un excelente vehículo de la historia y nos hace comenzar a correr desde el principio. “When Tom Brevoort approached me with this concept, I thought it was an inspired idea, a slice of creative genius, and also totally unworkable!” Landy said. “But the chance to launch a new Avengers title, and the chance to write any character who'd ever BEEN an Avenger, was impossible for this particular Marvel fanboy to resist. Add in the fact that Tom wanted to get Greg Land on art and my fate was pretty much sealed.
“The trick was to work within the confines inherent in the concept, but also to find a way to deliver what everyone would expect: a continuity of ideas and the development of an overarching storyline. I needed to find the hook that drags the reader from issue to issue, and I figured the best way to do that was to put the Avengers in the exact same situation as the reader: they are aware that this is happening, but they don't know why...”
“Having just finished up a nice run on the awesome Symbiote Spider-Man series of books, I wasn't sure what would be next. Getting All-Out sounded like it would be good but I got really excited when I read the synopsis,” Land added. “After reading Derek's script for #1, I knew it was going to be a fun and challenging project. All of the scripts so far have been full of interesting and cool scenes for our changing roster of Avengers. Hitting each issue in the middle of the action is a terrific story vehicle and gets us off running from the start. I hope everyone can see the excitement in the artwork and all-out action( pun intended). Along with my very talented buddies Jay Leisten and Frank D'Armata, we hope to give readers something to enjoy!”
