Praise for Powers:
“POWERS redefined the kinds of stories comics can tell. The book is grounded but imaginative, dark but hopeful, and deeply committed to its compelling characters. Most of all, it is an incredible marriage of art and words. It's the best of what comics can be.”—David Marquez
“Powers Vol. 1 is a near-perfect collection. The stories inside are among the best in Bendis’ career.”—IGN
“Bendis has given us a very modern film noir, complete with tough talking detectives, confusing plot twists, and deep-seated corruption. Oeming leads us through this dark vision of the future with brilliant lines and blazes of light that provide a perfect counterpoint. Powers packs a stunning one-two punch.”—Publishers Weekly on Powers Volume 4: Supergroup
“This really is a triumphant return we all want, a love letter to everything that made Powers so entertaining for so long.”—Slings & Arrows on Powers: The Best Ever
“Full of Bendis’ best Mamet impersonations and Oeming’s penchant for exciting, inventive and gory artwork, the launch of the book was a beacon for comic fans towards a new talent that was worth watching.”—Multiversity Comics
“Since launching in 2000, Powers has distinguished itself as one of the comic industry’s best, most visually distinctive, and certainly edgiest superhero comics.”—Entertainment Weekly Be sure to follow DarkHorseComics on social media and check our website, www.darkhorse.com for more news, announcements, and updates.
