Ghost Machine Productions lanza REDCOAT un nuevo personaje que lo conocimos en los dos especiales GEIGER 80-PAGE GIANT #1 (2022) y GHOST MACHINE #1 ONE-SHOT (2024), del escritor Geoff Johns, el artista Bryan Hitch, que narra las aventuras de un casi héroe de guerra que forma parte del universo de los UNNAMED que incluye a Geiger y Junkyard Joe.

Trama
THE NORTHERNER le paga a Simon para que le entregue el sobre que le dio el misterioso Mr Cobbler. The Northerner quema este sobre, cuyo contenido causaría que el Sur ganara la Guerra Civil y el futuro cambie por completo. The Northerner tiene un billete de 5 dólares del futuro que verifica si la cara de Abraham Lincoln cambia o no.
Simon y la huérfana tratan de saber quien es este personaje, Simon le pregunta a The Northerner y este le explica que viene de un futuro alterno donde la Guerra la gana el Sur, su objetivo es tratar de detener este cambio temporal porque EE.UU como nación no nacerá y eso significa la muerte de Simón, en este momento Red Coat sufre de una especie de premonición que le recordó momentos doloroso de su pasado.
Simon, la huérfana y The Northerner llegan a la casa de Mr Cobbler y son recibidfos por una rafaga de tiros de una ametralladora de 80 años en el futuro, The Northerner usa sus pistolas automáticas, pero unas granadas lo desconcentran y hace que Cobbler escape. Cobbler viene del futuro y está cambiando el pasado.
La dinámica entre las personalidades de Simon y The Northerner es entretenida, son opuestas moralmente.
El objetivo de Cobbler es asesinar al General Hood del Norte.
Este arco va revelando poco a poco el misterio temporal que The Northerner intenta arreglar mientras otro agente del tiempo desea detenerlo. La magia se mezcla con ciencia ficción y viajes en el tiempo.
Arte
Bryan Hitch ofrece su visión cinematográfica, dónde dirige secuencias de acción hipnotizantes y captura los detalles y tonos de cada época de antaño. Los colores crean la atmósfera perfecta de una época ruda de posguerra.
Tiene un manejo de las escalas hipnotizante, transporta y te sacude con visiones realistas impactantes en un formato muy parecido al cinematográfico.
Resumen
Simón Pure empieza a entender la premura de The Northerner para detener un cambio profundo del pasado que destruirá la nación en el futuro.

The Unnamed’s newest American legend clashes with Simon Pure, a man he’s grown to despise more than anyone he’s ever encountered. But as tensions boil over, Simon uncovers a startling revelation about The Northerner that could shatter everything he holds true. How will their uneasy alliance shape the unfolding mysteries of The Unknown War? The answers lie within…
Plot
The Northerner pays Simon to deliver the envelope given to him by the mysterious Mr. Cobbler. The Northerner burns this envelope, the contents of which would cause the South to win the Civil War and completely change the future. The Northerner has a five-dollar bill from the future that verifies whether Abraham Lincoln's face changes or not.
Simon and the orphan try to find out who this character is. Simon asks The Northerner, and he explains that he comes from an alternate future where the South wins the war. His goal is to try to stop this temporal change because the United States as a nation will never be born, and that means Simon's death. At this moment, Red Coat suffers from a kind of premonition that reminds him of painful moments from his past.
Simon, the orphan, and The Northerner arrive at Mr. Cobbler's house and are greeted by a burst of machine gun fire 80 years in the future. The Northerner uses his automatic pistols, but grenades distract him, causing Cobbler to escape. Cobbler comes from the future and is changing the past.
The dynamic between Simon and The Northerner's personalities is entertaining; they are morally opposed.
Cobbler's goal is to assassinate General Hood of the North.
This arc gradually reveals the temporal mystery that The Northerner is trying to solve while another time agent wants to stop him. Magic blends with science fiction and time travel.
Art
Bryan Hitch offers his cinematic vision, directing mesmerizing action sequences and capturing the details and tones of each era. The colors create the perfect atmosphere of a harsh post-war era.
It has a mesmerizing command of scale, transporting and shocking with striking realistic visions in a cinematic format.
Summary
Simón Pure begins to understand The Northerner's urgency to stop a profound change from the past that will destroy the nation in the future.
