Recién anunciada en el panel de distribuidores de la Comic-Con de San Diego, la épica saga crossover de Marvel Comics con la franquicia Alien continúa este noviembre con ALIEN VS. CAPITÁN AMÉRICA, del escritor estrella Frank Tieri y el aclamado artista Stefano Raffaele.
Esta serie limitada de cuatro números sigue a Aliens Vs. Avengers, la exitosa serie de Jonathan Hickman y Esad Ribić, que concluyó el mes pasado y marcó el primer crossover entre ambos universos. Ambientada durante las legendarias aventuras del Capitán América en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, ALIEN VS. CAPITÁN AMÉRICA enfrenta a Steve Rogers contra los extraterrestres más aterradores de la historia del cine después de que sus mayores villanos desaten a los Xenomorfos en el frente.

Es la Segunda Guerra Mundial e Hydra busca una nueva arma para derrotar a los Aliados y ganar la guerra. Para ello, Red Skull ha enviado al Barón Strucker en una expedición al Himalaya para encontrar la legendaria ciudad de Attilan. Pero en lugar de encontrar a los Inhumanos, Strucker descubre algo mucho más letal. Mucho más... Aliens. ¿Podrán el Capitán América y los Comandos Aulladores detener a Red Skull y sus nuevas armas xenomorfas... o aprenderá el Primer Vengador que en una Europa devastada por la guerra... nadie puede oírte gritar?

"Ya sabes, a veces surge un proyecto y simplemente tienes que pellizcarte para creer que te toca participar", compartió Tieri. Aquí tienen a dos de las figuras más icónicas del entretenimiento: el Capitán América, que es básicamente el héroe definitivo, contra Alien, uno de los nombres más emblemáticos del terror. Como escritor, ¿qué más se puede pedir? Propuse esto sabiendo que quería que fuera una historia de época con la Segunda Guerra Mundial como telón de fondo, porque sabía que me daría muchos elementos divertidos con los que jugar... El Capitán contra Cráneo Rojo, el Barón Strucker en el Himalaya buscando a Attilan, Bucky interactuando con los Comandos Aulladores, Hydra usando a los Xenomorfos como armas, etc. Tenemos todo eso y mucho más, ya que los fans pueden esperar una buena mezcla de terror y heroísmo... y más de una sorpresa añadida por si acaso.

It's World War II and Hydra seeks a new weapon to defeat the Allies and win the war. To that end, the Red Skull has sent Baron Strucker on an expedition to the Himalayas to find the fabled city of Attilan. But instead of finding the Inhumans, Strucker uncovers something much more deadly. Much more... Alien. Can Captain America and the Howling Commandoes stop the Skull and his newfound xenomorph weapons... or will the First Avenger learn that in war-torn Europe... no one can hear you scream?
“Ya know, sometimes a project comes along and you just have to pinch yourself that you get to be involved with it,” Tieri shared. “I mean, here you have two of the most iconic properties in entertainment—Captain America, who is basically the ultimate hero, going against Alien, one of the ultimate names in horror. As a writer, what more can you ask for than that? Now I pitched this knowing I wanted it to be a period piece with WW2 as the backdrop because I knew it would give me so many fun elements to play with… Cap vs the Red Skull, Baron Strucker in the Himalayas looking for Attilan, Bucky interacting with the Howling commandos, Hydra using the Xenomorphs as weapons, etc. We’ve got all that in the and more as fans can expect a nice mix of horror and heroics… and more than a few surprises thrown in for good measure.”
